The Right Room Changes Everything | 002

How can entrepreneurs find the right support without sacrificing the business and life they are working so hard to build?

For accomplished professionals and purpose-driven leaders, success can come with an unexpected challenge: carrying too much alone. Behind the decisions, launches, visibility, technology, and constant problem-solving can be isolation, second-guessing, and a lack of people who truly understand the road being traveled.

Nancy explores why she believes the right room can change everything. Drawing from the creation of her Love Your Business, Love Your Life inner circle, she shares how a small group formed during a season of personal and professional disruption and grew into a trusted community built around showing up, telling the truth, listening deeply, contributing generously, and continuing to choose what matters.

The conversation also challenges the idea that business growth has to come at the expense of health, relationships, joy, or space to live. Nancy makes the case for surrounding yourself with people who know your values, understand your business, celebrate your wins, challenge you when needed, and help you make clearer decisions without having to explain your entire story every time.

Ultimately, the right room is not about another program, another Zoom call, or having one person with all the answers. It is about meaningful relationships, shared wisdom, honest support, and creating a business you are proud of alongside a life you actually want to live.

In This Episode Nancy Explores:

  • Why entrepreneurial success can still feel surprisingly isolating
  • What the right people can offer that technology and AI cannot replace
  • How the Love Your Business, Love Your Life inner circle grew from real-life challenges
  • The five principles that have helped the community endure
  • Why truth-telling and deep listening matter in a trusted business room
  • What changes when peers contribute experience, relationships, perspective, and lived wisdom
  • Why business growth should not require sacrificing health, relationships, joy, or white space
  • The questions that can reveal whether you have the kind of room that truly has your back

Nancy Juetten:

Welcome to Your Next Magnificent Chapter with Nancy Juetten, the show for accomplished professionals, entrepreneurs, and purpose-driven leaders ready to choose what matters now. I'm your host, Nancy Juetten, a 25-year entrepreneur, mastermind leader, two-time cancer survivor, and champion for permission-free success. Together, we'll explore the wake-up calls, pivots, and inner knowings that help us release what no longer fits and create life and work that feel truer, wiser, and more aligned. Your next chapter starts with what you allow. It's time to turn the page.

Nancy Juetten:

Welcome to Your Next Magnificent Chapter with Nancy Juetten. This is a show for accomplished professionals, entrepreneurs, and purpose-driven leaders who are standing at a threshold and ready to choose what matters now. Today, I want to talk about something that's become one of the most important principles of my life and work: the right room changes everything, and I do not say that lightly, because many entrepreneurs are doing brave, meaningful, important work while quietly caring too much alone. They're serving clients, making decisions, managing launches, trying to stay visible, trying

Nancy Juetten:

to keep up with technology, trying to make sense of AI, trying to grow their businesses without losing themselves in the process, and underneath all of that activity, many are dealing with something we do not talk about enough: isolation, second guessing, loneliness, too much time with screens, not enough time with real people who understand the journey. For all the good that technology can do, and for all the ways AI can help us think faster, write faster, and create faster, there's something AI cannot replace. It cannot look you in the eye and say, "I hear what you're really saying. It

Nancy Juetten:

cannot celebrate your win like someone who knows what what it took, it cannot challenge you with love when you are hiding behind busy work. It cannot say that sounds misaligned. Are you sure this is the path you want to take? It cannot know your history, your heart, your values, your business model, your dreams, your energy, your family, your capacity, and the real life circumstances that may be shaping what is possible right now. For that, you know what you need. You need people, not just any people. The right people, the right room, a room where you can be heard, seen, challenged,

Nancy Juetten:

supported, celebrated, and reminded of who you are when you forget. That is the problem my love your business, love your life inner circle was created to solve. And like so many good things in my business, it did not become begin with some polished, laminated, trademark method with a clever acronym and a complicated diagram. It began with real people, real life, real business challenges, and a shared desire for something better. In 2022, I was navigating my own wake-up call after being diagnosed with breast cancer. At the same time, several respected colleagues and clients were navigating

Nancy Juetten:

their own business and life challenges. Some were dealing with personal disruptions. Some were feeling the weight of entrepreneurial isolation. Some were craving trusted sounding boards. Some wanted business growth, but not at the cost of their lives, their health, or their sanity. And I knew one thing for sure: going in alone was no longer good enough. So you know what I did? I invited a small group of amazing people to come together: Tim, Mark, Lindsay, Diana, Vicky, and others who were totally and ready to link arms in a more meaningful way. At first, I affectionately referred this to as

Nancy Juetten:

my secret society of awesomeness that still makes me smile, but what emerged was much more than a cute nickname. It became the "Love Your Business, Love Your Life" inner circle. The intention was simple: we wanted to succeed in our businesses on our own best terms and still have space to love our lives. Because truthfully, one without the other is simply not good enough. We started meeting twice a month by Zoom, and we're still together years later, still showing up, still telling the truth, still listening, still contributing, still making referrals, still offering ideas, still helping

Nancy Juetten:

each other through the business questions and the life realities that inevitably show up along the way-that consistency matters.

Nancy Juetten:

There is something powerful about knowing that twice a month, like clockwork, you have a room to come back to, a room where people know you, a room where you do not have to perform, a room where you can say, "Here's what's really going on." A room where you can bring the messy middle, the exciting win, the half-baked idea, the sales page that is not quite working, the message that feels muddy, the opportunity you are not sure you know you should say yes to, or the challenge that has you wondering what to do next, and you do not have to explain the whole backstory from scratch every time.

Nancy Juetten:

That is part of the magic of a real inner circle. Over time, people know your business. They know your values. They know your patterns, your genius. They know when you're playing small. They know when you're overcomplicating. They know when something sounds like a heck yes, and they know when something sounds like a hard no wearing a fancy hat, that kind of knowing is hard to find, and it's incredibly valuable. So, what is the framework? I wish I could tell you that we were following the yellow brick road brick by brick with some sassy acronym that has been tested in a laboratory and

Nancy Juetten:

proven to deliver predictable seven-figure outcomes by next Tuesday, but that would not be true, and that would not be us. The truth is, our framework is simple: we show up, we tell the truth, we listen deeply, we contribute generously, and we keep choosing what matters. That is the framework. Let me walk you through each part. First, we show up. That may sound basic, but it's not. In a noisy world, showing up consistently is a profound act of commitment. We show up for the calls. We show up for the conversations. We show up for each other's launches, decisions, opportunities, and

Nancy Juetten:

challenges. We show up when things are going beautifully, and we show up when life is complicated. That is one of the biggest differences between a true inner circle and a transactional business program. In a transactional program, people may feel may appear that there's a module to consume or a hot seat to claim. In a real inner circle, people show up because the relationships matter. The second part is we tell the truth. This is where the real value begins, because so much entrepreneurial life is polished for public consumption. The social media posts say everything is amazing. The

Nancy Juetten:

emails announce the wins. The sales pages highlight the results. The photos show the stage, the smile, the sparkle, and the standing ovation. And yes, those things can be real, but they're not the whole story. Inside the right room, we can tell the fuller truth. We can say this offer is not selling the way I hoped. We can say I'm tired. We can say I'm not sure I want to keep doing business this way. We can say I need help thinking this through. We can say I had a huge win, and I want people to understand what this means to celebrate it with me. Truth-telling is not about dumping. It's not

Nancy Juetten:

about drama. It's about creating enough safety that smart, accomplished people can stop pretending and start solving. The third part is we listen deeply. Listening is underrated. In many business rooms, people are waiting for their turn to talk. In this room, the listening is part of the work. We listen for what is said. We listen for what is unsaid. We listen for the pattern beneath the problem, we listen for the desire underneath the confusion. We listen for the wisdom that member may not yet be able to hear in themselves. And sometimes, the most valuable thing someone receives is

Nancy Juetten:

not a fancy strategy; it's the experience of being heard accurately. That alone can change everything. The fourth part is we contribute generously. Every member brings experience, perspective, resources, relationships, and hard-earned, lived wisdom. This is one of the reasons curation matters so much. I'm not looking to fill seats in this inner circle. I'm looking to bring together the right mix of people who can genuinely contribute to each other's success.

Nancy Juetten:

That might mean a referral, an introduction, a copy suggestion, a pricing insight, a podcast connection, a JV opportunity, a better question, a reality check, a celebration, a reminder, a resource, a calm voice when the room feels loud. The value does not come from me alone. Let me be clear about that. I am not the guru in this room. I am the curator and the leader. I facilitate the conversations. I bring decades of experience in messaging, marketing, visibility, podcast guesting, joint ventures, copywriting, and business strategy. I absolutely bring my full heart, my full brain, my word

Nancy Juetten:

wizardry, my strategic insights, and my network to the table. But I'm not claiming to have all the answers. No one in our room is. That is the point. We are peers contributing. To each other, we are established professionals traveling a similar road, and together we are wiser than any of us could be alone. The fifth part is we keep choosing what matters. That is the part that makes the love your business, love your life inner circle different. We are not just asking how do we make more money. We're asking better questions. How do we build a profitable business that does not consume our lives?

Nancy Juetten:

How do we make smart decisions without sacrificing our health, our relationships, our joy, and white space on our calendars? How do we say yes to the right opportunities and no to the ones that are not aligned? How do we build businesses that fund fulfilling lives? How do we succeed on our own best terms? Because the goal is not to chase arbitrary revenue milestones or perform success for strangers on the internet. The goal is to build a business you're proud of and a life you actually want to live. That is why this work matters so deeply to me. I know what it feels like to have life

Nancy Juetten:

interrupt the best laid plans. I know what it feels like to have a wake up call rearrange your priorities. I know what it feels like to look at the calendar, commitments, offers, and relationships and energy and say something's got to change. And I also know how powerful it is to be surrounded by people who do not shame you for that realization. They support it. They help you discern what comes next. They help you stay steady as you make new choices. They remind you that you do not have to do this alone. To the inner circle invitation, I have said that the value of the group comes from three

sources:

the connections, referrals, recommendations, and insight information shared within the group, the steady encouragement to think smarter and refine best efforts without working longer hours, and the safety of being able to say what's really going on in your life or work and be heard, understood, and helped without apology or judgment-that is still true, and it is why this model has endured. The members who joined in those early days are not just still here because they need another Zoom call. Nobody needs another Zoom call. They're here because the room matters, the

sources:

relationships matter, the referrals matter, the accountability matters, the celebrations matter, the shared wisdom matters, the sense of belonging matters, and perhaps most of all, the steady reminder matters. You can love your business and love your life. You do not have to choose one at the expense of the other. So let me bring this back to you. If you are an accomplished entrepreneur or a purpose-driven leader, and you have been carrying too much alone, I want you to consider this: Where do you go for truth-telling? Where do you go when things fall apart or fall short? Where do you go

sources:

when you need thoughtful answers from people who actually understand the road you're traveling? Where do you go when you have a win and want to be celebrated by people who understood what it took. Where do you go when you're tired of second guessing in isolation? Where do you go when AI can help you draft the words, but it cannot help you feel less alone? Where is the room that has your back?

sources:

If you do not have that room, maybe the next magnificent chapter is calling your attention, not because you're broken, and not because you're behind, and not because you need saving, but because you're ready to be supported at the level of the life and work you're creating now. The right room changes everything. It changes who you, what you see. It changes what you believe is possible. It changes the speed at which you can make aligned decisions. It changes the quality of your opportunities. It changes the way you recover from disappointment. It changes the way you celebrate success.

sources:

It changes how lonely the entrepreneurial road feels, and sometimes it changes the whole trajectory of your business and your life. That is the framework for results-not a rigid method, not a guru method, not a pile of modules, a curated, committed, generous room where the right people show up, tell the truth, listen deeply, contribute generously, and keep choosing what matters. If this is the kind of room you've been longing for, I invite you to take the next step.
