What if your astrology could help you understand not only who you are, but how you love, what you’re here to do and where you may be living out of alignment?
In this episode, I sit down with astrologer, purpose coach and Inspired Evolution podcast host Amrit Sandhu for a deep conversation about astrology, relationships, purpose and the blueprint of your soul.
We explore how astrology can help you understand both your gifts and your shadows without constantly trying to fix yourself. Amrit also shares how his own journey through depression, meditation, career misalignment and a powerful Saturn return ultimately led him toward his purpose and the creation of Inspired Evolution.
We also dive into relationships and how understanding your own chart, your partner’s chart and the relationship itself can create more compassion, acceptance and freedom to be who you truly are.
This conversation is an invitation to stop measuring yourself against who you think you should be and become more curious about the soul that has been there all along.
In This Episode We Explore:
- What astrology can reveal about who you really are
- How your shadows can point toward your greatest gifts
- The connection between purpose, alignment and well-being
- Amrit’s journey from depression and career misalignment to Inspired Evolution
- How astrology can deepen understanding in relationships
- Why your partner doesn’t need to be everything for you
- How challenging seasons can become catalysts for growth
- What changes when you begin living in alignment with your soul
Your Practice for This Week:
Notice where you’re still trying to fix, change or judge parts of yourself because they don’t match who you think you should be.
Instead, get curious.
What if that part of you isn’t wrong? What if there is a gift, lesson or deeper invitation underneath it?
And in your relationships, notice where you may be trying to change someone rather than understand them.

You ever found that place where you 150 million percent
Amrit:belonged, and they just sort of they they get it's almost rude
Amrit:to do that to them. It's almost rude to do that to them, right?
Amrit:And so then they start looking for like oh, and now with this
Amrit:maturity, self permission. So oh okay, so maybe just maybe
Amrit:belonging is a whole you know 10,000 hours of personal
Amrit:development mastery. Your astrological chart is hundreds
Amrit:of 1000s of hours of soul-based mastery, right? And so you're
Amrit:spending all this time having a look at like what your
Amrit:placements are, and you go instead of spending all this
Amrit:time filling the void, yeah, with all these pseudo things.
Amrit:Let's understand the nature of the void, right? And go. Oh, so
Amrit:belonging's a thing for me. I'm always going to be yearning for
Amrit:deeper and deeper levels of belonging and more belonging
Amrit:because of this particular placement, because of Cancer.
Amrit:And it's like, right? Okay, so maybe I can just give myself
Amrit:permission, and this opens up into one of my deepest loves of
Amrit:astrology, which is shadow work through the lens of astrology.
Kate Harlow:Hello, my loves! Welcome to this unbelievably
Kate Harlow:exciting episode. I am over the moon excited to share this
Kate Harlow:beautiful being with you. This man who has an amazing podcast
Kate Harlow:you have to check out called Inspired Evolution. It's really
Kate Harlow:the only one I listen to. Occasionally, listen to a few of
Kate Harlow:your friends' ones, like Andre, and but yours is the best of the
Kate Harlow:best. And I discovered Amrit and Inspired Evolution maybe a year
Kate Harlow:ago, and this man is like I I listen to your podcast because
Kate Harlow:of the the being that you are the the the light that you are
Kate Harlow:how deeply connected and curious and loving and like you're
Kate Harlow:you're I I can't even put it towards what your podcast does
Kate Harlow:for me I mean like I share I shared with you that episode
Kate Harlow:with Betty how that activated something so deep in me, my
Kate Harlow:whole immersion in Greece. We just kept talking about that
Kate Harlow:episode. No one had seen it, but I was like, it just activated. I
Kate Harlow:feel like my spirituality on a deeper level. The guests that he
Kate Harlow:has on are next level, and we're talking like Bruce Lipton and
Kate Harlow:Joe Dispenza and the best of the best astrologers and you know
Kate Harlow:near death experience people and it's just such a wide range. But
Kate Harlow:what it's done for me, I feel like it's deepened my connection
Kate Harlow:to my divinity, and I feel like that's what the planet needs
Kate Harlow:right now more than ever. And you are the brightest light.
Kate Harlow:This watching Amra light up every time. He's just so
Kate Harlow:connected on the interviews. He's has the biggest heart, and
Kate Harlow:yeah, I just can't wait for you to see his podcast if you
Kate Harlow:haven't before. And I'm so honored to have you here. I've
Kate Harlow:had two astrology readings with Amrat. I've had I don't know 100
Kate Harlow:astrology readings over the past 20 years, and these were the
Kate Harlow:best readings I've ever had. I've never felt more seen, more
Kate Harlow:celebrated. You celebrate. I mean, that's that's it. That's
Kate Harlow:what you do, like both in your interviews and in your astrology
Kate Harlow:readings. Like I felt like, whoa! Like how cool is my soul?
Kate Harlow:And you know, today this this episode is all about love and
Kate Harlow:relationships and astrology, but the new truth style, and you
Kate Harlow:know I feel like you are the you are the person to usher us into
Kate Harlow:what does that even mean? Love and relationships connected to
Kate Harlow:our astrology and and the magic of our souls. You really live
Kate Harlow:from the magic of your soul now, and it's felt all over the
Kate Harlow:world, and you're making such an impact living from that place.
Kate Harlow:So, hi, welcome
Amrit:to the new truth. Touch wood. There's the laugh. There's
Amrit:the laugh fest so much. Touch wood. Thank you so much. Yeah,
Amrit:it's an absolute honor to be here, and the honor to be here.
Amrit:And yeah, I mean, it. Yeah, I feel very honored. It means a
Amrit:lot. Use the word "seen" and "celebrated, and I think just to
Amrit:be received so fully for one's work. I mean, there's a total
Amrit:prayer in there for people. I mean, to you know, do work that
Amrit:you love and to be fully received for it. It's one thing
Amrit:to do it, and then also another thing to be received for it.
Amrit:It's touch wood, touch wood. It's such an incredible
Amrit:blessings, and yeah, it meant so much to me that you started your
Amrit:birthday off with an astrology reading. Yeah, like I said, like
Amrit:it's interesting that people will get on their birthdays like
Amrit:a solar return reading, and yeah, I mean you'll dive in and
Amrit:understand the energetics of the year and what the year has in
Amrit:store for us, and it's always a very fascinating read because
Amrit:each chart's unique. But then to just feel into the energetics of
Amrit:like you know you starting your birthday. With an astrology
Amrit:reading and a solar return reading, that just meant a lot
Amrit:to me as a brother to another sister to yeah just be a part
Amrit:of. So thank you so much again. It was um yeah a real treat.
Amrit:Thank you so much for having me
Unknown:here.
Kate Harlow:Well, I'm gonna seed right now that everyone
Kate Harlow:every one of you should get a solar return reading on your
Kate Harlow:every one of you should have a reading with Amrit. Period,
Kate Harlow:especially if you're ready for more meaning in your life, more
Kate Harlow:love, more soul, more purpose, like I feel like purpose is the
Kate Harlow:thing everyone's searching for right now, because obviously the
Kate Harlow:planet is changing very fast, and people are starting to feel
Kate Harlow:so out of alignment with corporate jobs and with doing
Kate Harlow:things that aren't lighting them up and bringing joy to their
Kate Harlow:lives, and having a reading with Amrit, like astrology is the
Kate Harlow:blueprint of your soul, and human design is the blueprint of
Kate Harlow:your soul, and these they're these these incredibly ancient.
Kate Harlow:I mean, astrology is the most ancient communication language
Kate Harlow:on planet Earth, and I mean, I've learned this from watching
Kate Harlow:your channel and and learning from all the amazing astrlogies.
Kate Harlow:But it's an ancient language. It's like in the pyramids, which
Kate Harlow:you and I are both going to Egypt a year apart. It is in the
Kate Harlow:pyramids, the the the the language of astrology. It's so
Kate Harlow:ancient, and the world is finally waking up to it, you
Kate Harlow:know, like astrology has been. It was only what 10 years ago
Kate Harlow:that people were like, "Oh, that's like ridiculous, as if
Kate Harlow:that's real. Where people thought astrology was just
Kate Harlow:horoscopes and whatever's in the newspaper that talks about your
Kate Harlow:sun sign, and that people thought astrology was just sun
Kate Harlow:signs. And I feel like because of podcasts like yours,
Kate Harlow:astrology is becoming mainstream, and people are
Kate Harlow:waking up to it and learning about it. And to me, it was-it
Kate Harlow:has been the greatest permission giver and tool to reflect. I
Kate Harlow:wish for every woman on planet Earth, human, but women
Kate Harlow:listening to this episode, but especially women. I mean, okay,
Kate Harlow:men are hard on themselves too. But this-this, you know, my work
Kate Harlow:is is dedicated to women. I just think of how, like, growing up
Kate Harlow:in a patriarchal world where women are so confused about who
Kate Harlow:we are and what we're supposed to be, and we had to strap on
Kate Harlow:man suits in order to shatter glass ceilings in order to get
Kate Harlow:to where we are with our rights in the world, and we've lost so
Kate Harlow:many parts of ourselves. And to come home to yourself through
Kate Harlow:the through the lens of astrology, there's nothing in my
Kate Harlow:life greater that led me to my purpose and my my gifts and like
Kate Harlow:actually loving myself and being able to receive love in my life
Kate Harlow:and all of like it's it's literally the to me one of the
Kate Harlow:greatest answers to awakening who we are. So that's how I feel
Kate Harlow:about astrology and you.
Amrit:Thank you so much, Kate, for your incredibly, incredibly
Amrit:kind words. Appreciate you so much. Thank you so much for the
Amrit:love. Yeah, really, really appreciate the love. And yeah,
Amrit:it's so mutual from one brother to another sister. It's so epic.
Amrit:I, yeah. yeah, there's a there's there's a deep thread in there
Amrit:that I'd love to pull on. There was so much to open up into
Amrit:there, but there's a piece that you mentioned, which is one of
Amrit:my first loves with astrology as well. Self permission, self
Amrit:permission. I actually own the domain self permission
Amrit:astrology.com because I loved the just the permission slip
Amrit:that it gives you so deeply. There's nothing there itself.
Amrit:Permissionastrology. com, by the way. I just went and got the
Amrit:domain because it meant so much to me. So don't go looking for
Amrit:Amber over there. It's just AmberSandy.com doing my thing.
Amrit:But yeah, the it's just it's so incredible. So much of my-I
Amrit:mean, you mentioned the word purpose as well. Almost like for
Amrit:a full decade before astrology opened up, I'd been a purpose
Amrit:coach. Yeah, and then it was interestingly, I went through
Amrit:like an astrological transit, at which like astrology came
Amrit:through, and I was like, "Oh, what do I need to get through
Amrit:this transit? Astrology itself. Wait, what? This is trippy. So
Amrit:it was an incredible shift, but up until that point, even being
Amrit:within personal development, personal growth, spiritual
Amrit:development, spiritual growth, we end up shooting on ourselves.
Amrit:I don't know how else to say this. We should on ourselves so
Amrit:hard, and sometimes these things that are trying to help are just
Amrit:another should. It's just like they're shooting on you too.
Amrit:It's like make sure you wake up and do this every morning, and
Amrit:make sure you wake up and do that every morning, and wake
Amrit:sure in the evening before you do. And you end up with one of
Amrit:my friends, Leon Hendricks. He had this incredible. He's taken
Amrit:the video down off the internet, but he used to be on YouTube. He
Amrit:had this video of his morning ritual, yeah, and it was a
Amrit:parody, and he basically started his morning ritual, and it
Amrit:started at four a.m. Classic, and then went all the way
Amrit:through. And by the time it finished, it was 11 p.m. And
Amrit:then he had to get some rest for the next day. And he was looking
Amrit:at his sleep optimized calendar. It's like he didn't have enough
Amrit:sleep for the optimizing of his sleep because he had spent the
Amrit:whole day in his morning ritual. Anyway, I thought that was
Amrit:pretty funny, but to the point, like we end up shooting on
Amrit:ourselves so hard. Sometimes with the best of intentions,
Amrit:sometimes with the best intentions of our loved ones,
Amrit:yeah. But astrology it gives us this incredible piece to look at
Amrit:our different placements, who we are, and go, oh, okay, like an
Amrit:easy example, yeah. I mean, like you can take a look at. Let's
Amrit:take a look at cancer, for example, right? So cancers,
Amrit:their whole thing is all about belonging. Their whole thing's
Amrit:about belonging, but they may spend their whole life feeling
Amrit:like they don't belong. Yeah, and so now you can easily go and
Amrit:see, and you can't even blame Cancerians for like looking for
Amrit:their community, looking for their tribe, and not feeling
Amrit:like they're in the right place. Like this is, you know, and
Amrit:you'd be very justified in like feeling the void and wanting to
Amrit:plug it. Absolutely, like why wouldn't you? That's human,
Amrit:yeah. But if you look through the lens of astrology and you
Amrit:take a look, and he goes. Actually, belonging is something
Amrit:that I'm a master at, and I gift to everybody as part of my
Amrit:being. Yeah, but also it's almost like I'm the tree that
Amrit:doesn't get to taste its like own fruit. Yeah, so I get this
Amrit:incredible opportunity to afford everybody belong. Everybody
Amrit:feels these are the types of people that make organizations
Amrit:feel like homes. You turn the house into a home. These are
Amrit:incredible people in terms of making people feel like they
Amrit:belong. But astrology is all about polarities, and you go,
Amrit:"Hey, Cancerian, you ever found that place where you 150 million
Amrit:percent belong to? And they just sort of they they get. It's
Amrit:almost rude to do that to them.
Amrit:It's almost rude to do that to them, right? And so then they
Amrit:start looking for like, oh, and now with this maturity, self
Amrit:permission, right? It's like, oh, okay, so maybe, just maybe,
Amrit:belonging is a whole, you know, 10,000 hours of personal
Amrit:development mastery. Your astrological chart is hundreds
Amrit:of 1000s of hours of soul-based mastery, right? And so you're
Amrit:spending all this time having a look at like what your
Amrit:placements are, and you go instead of spending much time
Amrit:filling the void, yeah, with all these pseudo things, let's
Amrit:understand the nature of the void, right? And go, oh, so
Amrit:belonging's a thing for me. I'm always going to be yearning for
Amrit:deeper and deeper levels of belonging and more belonging
Amrit:because of this particular placement, because of Cancer,
Amrit:and it's like right, okay, so maybe I can just give myself
Amrit:permission, and this opens up into one of my deepest loves of
Amrit:astrology, which is shadow work through the lens of astrology.
Amrit:Yeah, like I, I never knew that shadow work. Like for me,
Amrit:obviously, I've drunk the Kool-Aid, so I need to be
Amrit:mindful of that. But it's up there with inner child work as
Amrit:like the creme de la creme for inner shadow, like inner inner
Amrit:child shadow, like for shadow work. Why? Because if you take a
Amrit:look at it now, all of a sudden, with that self permission, you
Amrit:start to again be very mindful. Don't let me program shadows in
Amrit:for you. Yeah, you guys need to be in your seat of your
Amrit:sovereignty and feel into what resonates with you. But like, if
Amrit:you feel into the shadow and go. Actually, this sounds resonant.
Amrit:All of a sudden, you don't have to fill it, and then you can
Amrit:sort of start to accept. Oh, okay. So this is one of the
Amrit:shadows that I carry. Touch wood. Okay. Now it's it's it's
Amrit:only a shadow because there's a gift on the other side.
Amrit:Astrology is a map for duality, right? So our soul probably
Amrit:comes from a non-dual space, don't know where that is. Yeah,
Amrit:I've been interviewing people about this sort of stuff for a
Amrit:while now. It's a lot of conjectures, but in this
Amrit:reality, once you're in this reality, it's a dual space and
Amrit:duality. Astrology is a map for duality. It's all polarities and
Amrit:stuff like this. Yes, if you can take a look, oh, I've got these
Amrit:incredible gifts, but I've also got this, and ah, this is the
Amrit:cost of having these gifts, right? That's quite a
Amrit:spiritually mature conversation. Now I don't have to go plugging
Amrit:that, and I can go. Okay, maybe I'm not going to always feel
Amrit:like I belong, says the Cancerian. Okay, can I make my
Amrit:peace? Can I allow that feeling to belong within me, and all of
Amrit:a sudden, my unbelonging, my disbelonging, my non-belonging,
Amrit:kind of has a home within me. Now your psyche goes, wait, what
Amrit:just happened? Yeah, but this is this is spiritual matters. This
Amrit:is how they work. Yeah, and this is spiritual shadow work. It's
Amrit:so, so self permission, as you alluded to, huge, huge piece
Amrit:that astrology affords us that we don't need to then, because
Amrit:otherwise we spend and we still do. Like I'm an astrologer, I
Amrit:still am probably there's unseen patterns in there where I'm
Amrit:still trying to fill holes. But the more voids we become aware
Amrit:of, and that's not all astrology is. Yeah, like to your point,
Amrit:purpose. You can have a look at all your placements and what's
Amrit:up and what's coming and what's next. But this was just one of
Amrit:the deepest threads that you touched on that was self
Amrit:permission at the beginning, that I just wanted to revel in
Amrit:with you as well because it's a really, really deep point. Touch
Amrit:me.
Kate Harlow:It's like it's like a deep understanding of self,
Kate Harlow:and there's something I was watching an interview. Is
Kate Harlow:actually not with you with, with someone else. It was your
Kate Harlow:teacher, though, Deborah. Yeah,
Amrit:Deborah Silverman. She's um she's a total fairy
Amrit:godmother.
Kate Harlow:Yes, she's magical. And I had I was watching. So it
Kate Harlow:YouTube suggested it because I'd seen her on yours, and she was
Kate Harlow:talking about the elements, and she she just said something. It
Kate Harlow:was based on her latest book, I think, and she said something
Kate Harlow:that I was like, "Oh, I've shared. I've repeated it to so
Kate Harlow:many of my clients because it's not just about understanding
Kate Harlow:yourself deeply. And by the way, if you're new to astrology, this
Kate Harlow:is why you need a reading. You are not your sun sign. There's
Kate Harlow:so much more to your chart, and you have many signs and many. So
Kate Harlow:it's you. You will understand yourself so much, like the the
Kate Harlow:light, the gifts, and the shadow sides as you're talking about in
Kate Harlow:all different areas of your life. Like it's there's so much
Kate Harlow:there to explore, but she was talking about the elements and
Kate Harlow:how it helped her have more compassion for people in her
Kate Harlow:family. It's like, oh, my brother's cries all the time
Kate Harlow:because he's got a lot of water in his chart. Oh, my dad's
Kate Harlow:really angry. Shadow side of a lot of fire. Oh, this person
Kate Harlow:takes up all the airtime in the room and talks, talks, talks
Kate Harlow:because they have a lot of air. Oh, this person's really
Kate Harlow:stubborn. They got a lot of earth, and so it's like
Kate Harlow:understanding the shadow of the different signs. You you start
Kate Harlow:to understand not just yourself and have more acceptance. I
Kate Harlow:think comes with the understanding of your shadow,
Kate Harlow:like the Cancerian, and the desire of deep desire for
Kate Harlow:belonging because you're meant for it. And also, if you don't
Kate Harlow:have it within yourself and in your community, you'll feel that
Kate Harlow:longing. So it's like having the understanding of that for
Kate Harlow:yourself is going to allow you to have much more compassion and
Kate Harlow:love for you, but also for everyone in your life.
Amrit:Big time, big time, yeah. And just like I mean, it it
Amrit:allows you to settle, you know. It allows you to settle because
Amrit:then you're not scanning and searching, and you know, you're
Amrit:and like we can talk about so many things that it opens up
Amrit:from them. Like you're, I mean, in some ways, we're trying to
Amrit:get you to accept your lack, but at the same time, then you're
Amrit:not actually no longer lacking. It's a weird, trippy thing that
Amrit:it's like again for the psyche to comprehend. But I mean, it's
Amrit:like you're actually whole, you know. And it's just like you're
Amrit:actually whole. That's just, you know, and you can come into some
Amrit:level of wholeness, and you go, oh, I can, I can rest. I
Amrit:actually don't have to spend all this energy expenditure doing
Amrit:this, doing that. I mean, I know you wanted to talk about
Amrit:relationships today. There's a whole thing about looking for
Amrit:people, but I mean, should I? Do you want me to share a little
Amrit:bit?
Kate Harlow:Yes, yes. One
Amrit:of the interesting things I found is I, as a as a purpose
Amrit:coach for a better part of a decade, I actually didn't like
Amrit:doing because purpose coach actually overlaps a lot with
Amrit:life coaching. So people bring their whole life to their
Amrit:purpose coaching generally because it's a matter of dharma,
Amrit:right? And so yeah, there'd be this interesting. At certain
Amrit:points, certain clients would have stuff come up in
Amrit:relationships that you know they would bring to the space, and
Amrit:you'd have to like we'd want to work through it together. Now
Amrit:they were really eager to work through it, and I would always
Amrit:have a reluctance. I always always have a reluctance, and
Amrit:they being you know coaching and intimate, it's like you know
Amrit:they're like you know they could some of them could tell, and I'd
Amrit:have to explain myself by ways that I find it very difficult
Amrit:doing relationship coaching when I'm not a relationship coach way
Amrit:back when because only 1/3 of the relationship is actually
Amrit:here. I'm speaking to one person. There's another person
Amrit:that's in this relationship, and then there's a third entity that
Amrit:is the relationship, and only you are here. It's like if we're
Amrit:going to enact change, influence transformation. Like, how are we
Amrit:going to do that with just you know we don't have a lot of
Amrit:leverage, but obviously this is all we've got, so we'll work
Amrit:through it because you know obviously we're not going to not
Amrit:work through it. So we work through it, but it just there
Amrit:was always that frustration until I came to astrology. Now I
Amrit:love relationship readings. So in order to do a relationship
Amrit:reading, you need your chart, you need your partner's chart,
Amrit:and then there's the third chart. I make it four because
Amrit:I'm an engineer and I like to just do things over the top all
Amrit:the time. But because basically there's your chart, there's
Amrit:their chart, and then it's what your chart looks like overlaid
Amrit:on their chart, but then you can also pull pull out what your
Amrit:chart their the inverse of that basically, and you can look at
Amrit:all four charts. But you know those two charts comprise one.
Amrit:But you're actually sitting with three different conversations.
Amrit:This is who I am. This is who this person is. And when they
Amrit:come together, they activate this in this person. And oh, I
Amrit:can see the tension there, right? That makes sense, right?
Amrit:It's like, oh, but my, oh wow, the the person that I am matters
Amrit:too, like deeply to your emotional sense of well being.
Amrit:Like you can see that in a chart, yeah. Like it's
Amrit:incredible, and so that's and now you can start to see where
Amrit:you guys should double down on, where you shouldn't. So.
Amrit:Astrology, even in just the way it frames the relationship
Amrit:conversation, in my opinion, is like there's something of note
Amrit:in there, right? Because it's like very honoring of like the
Amrit:individuality that's required fully, which is something that I
Amrit:know you deeply champion, right? Like you're a massive advocate
Amrit:for to fully like bring that online to the best of your
Amrit:ability to then overlay and connect, right? And just to sort
Amrit:of open up a loose tangent. I mean, one of my one of the signs
Amrit:that you know of is Aquarius has um my word for Aquarius is
Amrit:potential touchwood, right? So Aquarius is beings of potential,
Amrit:and the number of Aquarians that like have sat and reading, and
Amrit:we've talked about the relationship dynamics. I wish I
Amrit:knew this 30 years ago. Is so Aquarius is all about potential.
Amrit:It's obsessed with potential. It loves potential. It's
Amrit:innovative. It's visionary. Yeah, my favorite word. One of
Amrit:my favorite words for Aquarius is avant-garde, ahead of your
Amrit:time. Yeah, it's how Aquarians feel, and one of the things
Amrit:you'll find is they'll get into relationships with another
Amrit:person, falling in love with the potential of that person because
Amrit:they're so wired for potential.
Amrit:It's so easy to do; like you can't even fault them for doing
Amrit:that. It's like you're Aquarian, like you're all about potential.
Amrit:So you fell in love with the potential of who this. You you
Amrit:found a fix me up, era. You found a project. How great for
Amrit:you! In some ways, until it's not, and it gets tiring on you
Amrit:and wears on you. And what about the other person that's made to
Amrit:feel like a project the whole time? How they going?
Unknown:Not the best, huh? But all is
Amrit:not lost. Now we've learned something. Now we've
Amrit:learned something. Remember the third entity. Remember the third
Amrit:entity. Put your focus there. Put your focus there. Believe in
Amrit:the potential of the relationship. Don't find someone
Amrit:who you need. Like me, this person's whole, this person's
Amrit:whole, and together there's a potential relate, and that
Amrit:relationship has a lot of potential. Okay, Aquarian, did
Amrit:you see how you came online? That's what's up, yeah. So
Amrit:understanding can really, really help. Really, really help in
Amrit:that light. I mean, I could do many more examples, but I'll
Amrit:give it. I'll stop.
Kate Harlow:Maybe we'll. No, I love it. Maybe we'll touch on a
Kate Harlow:little bit of all of them if we can. But I, um, I, yeah. As you
Kate Harlow:were talking, I was picturing all the Aquarians. I know I'm
Kate Harlow:like, uh huh, that makes sense. And just thinking how how crazy
Kate Harlow:it. Okay, so in my experience, most most women I've coached
Kate Harlow:over the years, and there's been hundreds and hundreds, 1000s, if
Kate Harlow:I include my business coaching. And I think of all the
Kate Harlow:relationships that I've unpacked. I mostly work with
Kate Harlow:divorced women, not always, but a lot of divorced women. Some
Kate Harlow:married women, some never been married but wanting it. And how
Kate Harlow:crazy it is that most people's blueprint for relationships is
Kate Harlow:dating from their patterns, or relating from their patterns, or
Kate Harlow:being married from their patterns. Right? Like self,
Kate Harlow:someone self-sacrificing. One person's controlling. One
Kate Harlow:person's the mom. One person's the kid. One person's the
Kate Harlow:teenager. Yeah, filling the
Amrit:holes that we were discussing earlier. Filling the
Amrit:holes. We're just looking into each other. Fill each other's
Amrit:holes.
Kate Harlow:Exactly in the shadow. And I'm like, wow. Every
Kate Harlow:as you're talking, just thinking what a gift it would be inside
Kate Harlow:of a relationship to have a deep understanding of your own chart
Kate Harlow:in relationship. How you are, you're not just in relationship
Kate Harlow:in your life, of course. So you can be feeding your soul in all
Kate Harlow:the ways, which of course feeds relationship, but also to deeply
Kate Harlow:understand your partner's chart. So you stop looking because one
Kate Harlow:of the biggest mistakes that I see people make in relationship
Kate Harlow:is they get-I mean, I don't think it's just Aquarius's-they
Kate Harlow:get into relationship and and and there's a connection or
Kate Harlow:there's something that they like about the person, whether it's a
Kate Harlow:superficial thing or it. But there's something that's amazing
Kate Harlow:in the beginning, and then they try and mold that person into
Kate Harlow:their ideal partner, as opposed to seek to understand them. And
Kate Harlow:so that's another huge gift of knowing your chart, and then and
Kate Harlow:then learning about someone else's. Very
Amrit:practical.
Kate Harlow:This is another course you should do. Actually,
Kate Harlow:I'm thinking a couple's astrology course where they
Kate Harlow:learn each other's charts, and then they and then they are able
Kate Harlow:to create a different paradigm, the new paradigm of relationship
Kate Harlow:from celebrating who each other are and having awareness of the
Kate Harlow:shadow sides of all their signs and and they're like when you if
Kate Harlow:you know each other's chart intimately I mean I think I have
Kate Harlow:that with my best friends and we understand like oh yeah there's
Kate Harlow:your Leo. Oh, that's your chart. Like, there's such a deep
Kate Harlow:understanding of each other because we also know each
Kate Harlow:other's charts. Like, all my friends celebrate the Leoness of
Kate Harlow:me because of my Leo rising, and they, and when I'm in my smaller
Kate Harlow:self because it's also my North Node Leo, they they'll call me
Kate Harlow:to rise and remind me this is where you're going. You're like
Kate Harlow:being. More and more of the Leo, whatever, and so it's like such
Kate Harlow:a cool part. I've never actually thought about this before, but
Kate Harlow:all of my friends intimately know their charts, and we have
Kate Harlow:each other on the pattern, and we so it it makes our friendship
Kate Harlow:so expansive, and so imagine to having that in a romantic
Kate Harlow:relationship. What a gift!
Amrit:It's incredible. It's absolutely incredible, and you
Amrit:can look at your complementary placements and what works really
Amrit:well, and you'll just like it's just it's more fun, and you let
Amrit:each other off the hook on stuff as well. It's like oh, I can let
Amrit:you go on that one. Like you're never quite gonna, you know,
Amrit:like be the one to I don't know, just an example. It's probably
Amrit:my wife's voice. Pick up all the socks all the time, you know,
Amrit:and just be like, "Oh, I see what's going on there, you know,
Amrit:and just you know, and and also like this is one of those
Amrit:beautiful things. Like it actually, I feel called to
Amrit:poetically just inject in, you know, the Rumi quote: The cracks
Amrit:are where the light gets in, you know. And again, as we afford
Amrit:that self permission to ourselves, it sort of gives us
Amrit:the opportunity to afford that self permission to the other as
Amrit:well, and to be seen, to be held, to be witnessed, you know.
Amrit:And and like actually, those little cracky bits are like, you
Amrit:know, like here's here's an example from our home. My wife
Amrit:loves having having the heater on really high, and I'm like, it
Amrit:doesn't need to be so high, yeah, and it doesn't need to be
Amrit:so high on for so long. And then the other day, I realized
Amrit:nothing's changing despite me chatting to her about it, and so
Amrit:I said to her, I was like, is this the same as my hot long
Amrit:showers, and she goes. It's exactly the same. Yeah, I just
Amrit:realized. I just realized. Okay, you know, there's gonna be
Amrit:things about each other that we just learn to, you know, like
Amrit:accept. You know, she's a total environmentalarian. Yeah, like
Amrit:she just for her and like me sticking around the shower
Amrit:longer than I need to. Why, you know? But at the same time,
Amrit:she's learned to accept that this is a thing that really, you
Amrit:know, like Amrit loves is having a nice hot shower, decompressing
Amrit:at the beaten dab, right? Taurus rising very much. So, beginning
Amrit:of the day, end of the day, just you know, chill. And so, yeah.
Amrit:But we we learn to understand each other, and then astrology
Amrit:gives us the opportunity to do that, right? Like it gives you
Amrit:the opportunity to look at, oh, this person's really good at
Amrit:this, and this person's, you know, I think it's actually like
Amrit:a it's like a whole societal dysfunction. If I don't want to
Amrit:get too well into that corner, but I mean, yeah, I mean the new
Amrit:like this nuclear family living thing is a really interesting
Amrit:thing where one person is also expected to be this other
Amrit:person's everything. I don't think that's normal, man. I
Amrit:really don't think that's normal. We're meant to be in a
Amrit:village. Like there's meant to be heaps of cool people doing
Amrit:heaps of cool things together. I'm like totally about
Amrit:community. So yeah, I just I find that that's really intense.
Amrit:And once you start to understand each other's chart, at the very
Amrit:least, to your point, you can sort of see what strengths you
Amrit:guys bring, yeah, and where even some of the challenges are, and
Amrit:actually be like, I actually kind of really, it's really
Amrit:sweet that you're like that. You know, that's like an
Amrit:idiosyncrasy of yours that only you would know, yeah, yeah, and
Amrit:that's kind of what actually bonds us in some ways-our
Amrit:vulnerabilities too, right? Like, is there's a lot of yeah,
Amrit:there's a lot of goodness in understanding each other's
Amrit:strengths and also each other's weaknesses as well.
Kate Harlow:Yeah, yeah, it's it's the I mean, it's the best
Kate Harlow:self inquiry tool. So, will you tell us a little bit of your
Kate Harlow:story? I'd love to hear both in your purpose and your
Kate Harlow:relationship life, like what life was like before you knew
Kate Harlow:who your the blueprint of your soul before you awakened all
Kate Harlow:these amazing aspects of you, and like what was what was Amrit
Kate Harlow:like before astrology, before your podcast, before you being
Kate Harlow:on your mission, and and life life now like what what has
Kate Harlow:changed for you and because I think this is so important you
Kate Harlow:know love and relationships everything is is an inside job
Kate Harlow:and we're seeking love outside of ourselves but the more we
Kate Harlow:come home to who we really are the more we feel love and we
Kate Harlow:expand into the love that we are and the more we attract amazing
Kate Harlow:relationships. So, like that-that's-that's why I'm such
Kate Harlow:an advocate for astrology because astrology is the gateway
Kate Harlow:to that. So, would love to hear what your journey was like to
Kate Harlow:awakening who you really are.
Amrit:Yeah, it's um, it's a long story and a long journey,
Amrit:but. Baby, we got time.
Kate Harlow:We're only 30 minutes. We got time. Okay.
Amrit:Well, the Inspired Evolution podcast itself was
Amrit:birthed out of my career misalignments of all things. I
Amrit:look at my journey. There's been two. Very clear, dark nights of
Amrit:the mind. I call them dark nights of the mind because we've
Amrit:had teachers on the podcast which have said, "I'm blanking
Amrit:on the name, but yeah, they came on the podcast and said,
Amrit:"There's there's no dark night of the soul. Your soul doesn't
Amrit:go dark. The mind goes dark. Your soul carries you through
Amrit:it. Yeah, and I was like, oh, that's that's a really important
Amrit:point. So I call them dark nights of the mind. But many of
Amrit:the audience may identify the disease as dark nights of the
Amrit:soul, but dark nights of the mind. So yeah, one of the first
Amrit:ones. The second one was the career misalignment, which gave
Amrit:birth to the inspired evolution, the first one was actually I
Amrit:struggled Touchwood for a long while there six years of of
Amrit:depression, and it was an interesting time. It was a bit
Amrit:of the fishbowl effect. Like you don't know actually with poor
Amrit:mental health when you're in poor mental health. I remember
Amrit:that much. Actually, you just think everybody else is
Amrit:operating from a similar space, doing the best they can with
Amrit:where they're at, and a lot of my life broke down over the
Amrit:course of that period to the point where you know, growing
Amrit:up, going to school, I was like, you know, I was always, and I
Amrit:mean, how else do you say this? I was an Indian boy growing up
Amrit:in Western education. It was just like I was, I was good with
Amrit:numbers, good with physics, good with science. Was always you
Amrit:know academically doing quite soundly. Let's put it that way.
Amrit:And then yeah, I mean, I at some point got asked to leave
Amrit:university. I lost a lot of my friends. My girlfriend wanted to
Amrit:leave me. Like it was, it was a very, very challenging time.
Amrit:Touchwood, and so much so that I don't think it takes. I think it
Amrit:takes quite a bit for an adolescent to sort of end up
Amrit:sitting opposite a psychologist. Yeah, because at that point,
Amrit:maybe it's different now, but back then, like the conversation
Amrit:around mental health did not exist really. Yeah, I was lucky.
Amrit:We had just started the like. There was maybe one billboard
Amrit:that I'd seen, or maybe on the side of one bus, it had like
Amrit:anxiety question mark written on the side of the bus. But um,
Amrit:like there wasn't like this. Now there's like lifelines,
Amrit:helplines, all this sort of stuff that you can get into when
Amrit:you need help, which is great. It's really, really good. So
Amrit:happy for that. Yeah, thank you everybody that supports these
Amrit:systems. Yeah, so I'm sitting opposite this psychologist, and
Amrit:she was very, very helpful. Very, very helpful. She was the
Amrit:first person that taught me about the growth mindset in that
Amrit:very moment. My whole world had come crashing down. It wasn't a
Amrit:pleasant place. It wasn't just like, oh yeah, I'm going to go
Amrit:see a psychologist. It was nobody, nobody that I knew
Amrit:wanted to know me anymore. In many ways, right? And I didn't
Amrit:even know who I was anymore, and I wasn't sure what I was doing
Amrit:anymore. It was just a really weird place to be, yeah. And so,
Amrit:ended up with a psychologist. Thankfully, there was a doctor
Amrit:who referred me to the psychologist. The doctor herself
Amrit:was this Thai lady, and she's important because she's going to
Amrit:come back in the story in just a moment. But I'm sitting opposite
Amrit:the psychologist. She teaches me that actually you need to live
Amrit:by a different value set, and that was like, oh, that's
Amrit:interesting. Values we can change those. I thought we so
Amrit:she introduced me inadvertently to the growth mindset, and I
Amrit:thought we were fixed up until that point. And I was like,
Amrit:right, okay, okay. And then in her the rest of her infinite
Amrit:wisdom, Touchwood lovingly, respectfully, she also gave me a
Amrit:box of pills, which is how the system is, right? So I got given
Amrit:these pills, and went home, took my first pill, and I remember
Amrit:what it was like. It was amazing to surface for air. It was
Amrit:incredible.
Amrit:For the next four hours, I did things that I hadn't done in a
Amrit:long time. It was really cool. It was really really cool. Four
Amrit:and a half hours later, I tapered off, and I landed back.
Amrit:And I didn't know much, but one of the things I don't know
Amrit:again, Taurus rising or something, or Virgo, it's
Amrit:definitely Dora's rising. I picked up the the box and just
Amrit:dropped him in the bin. I I clearly remember that moment
Amrit:because I just some part of me just wasn't willing to go on
Amrit:this roller coaster ride up and down, up and down, up and down,
Amrit:and I um and again. I just want to be mindful. Like there are
Amrit:people tuning into this. Chemical imbalances in your
Amrit:brain do need medication. Like absolutely, there's an absolute
Amrit:space for medication. Yeah, it just wasn't my truth. And maybe
Amrit:it's a spiritual thing, but for me, it wasn't my truth. These
Amrit:weren't right for me, and so I picked them up, threw them in
Amrit:the bin. And I look back at that kid. That was a very clear
Amrit:moment of lucidity for me as well. Because I look back, I was
Amrit:like, "What gives you the right to know better than your
Amrit:psychologist at that age? What was it within Amra that knew? I
Amrit:don't know, but it is a fascination of mine. Touchwood,
Amrit:right? Like it's a fascination of mine. This
Kate Harlow:is so important.
Amrit:I've carried on my way. Can I? As I had left the yeah
Amrit:yeah yeah yeah,
Kate Harlow:I just want to highlight that moment because
Kate Harlow:here's here's what I believe all of us have this inner compass
Kate Harlow:and that's always leading us and yet the systems teach us to
Kate Harlow:trust the person outside of yourself so even that moment
Kate Harlow:where it's like what how do you what do you know better, like
Kate Harlow:your mind says. Why do you know better than this psychologist?
Kate Harlow:And yet you trusted this feeling in your body, which was your
Kate Harlow:truth and which was your own inner compass. We all have that,
Kate Harlow:and how profound that at that young age. How old were you at
Kate Harlow:that time?
Amrit:23. I want to say probably needs to be
Amrit:Fact-checked, probably 23,
Kate Harlow:around 23 years old, that you had the internal
Kate Harlow:strength to be able to be like, no, this isn't something about
Kate Harlow:this doesn't feel right, and to trust that. I mean, I just want
Kate Harlow:to highlight that moment because we all have that compass, but
Kate Harlow:we've been trained so so so so so deeply to not follow it and
Kate Harlow:to trust everybody out there, and that everybody out there has
Kate Harlow:the answer, and yet the answer was inside of you. That's
Kate Harlow:incredible. Thank you for sharing that.
Amrit:Yeah, I reflect upon that. It's yeah, and and I call
Amrit:these moments of lucidity moments of lucidity. I think
Amrit:quite a few people have these few. Like I've spoken to people
Amrit:about this, and maybe your audience can, I know, tune in,
Amrit:and maybe even if you've had a moment of your own, you know,
Amrit:comment in moments of lucidity. Yeah, like when you sort of have
Amrit:these moments where you realize, yeah, there's another moment of
Amrit:lucidity. I'll share later, but it's like, were you something
Amrit:bigger is happening other than just you in that moment, but
Amrit:you're aware and you're present to it, and you're participating
Amrit:in it. But there's a level of clarity that's not your own
Amrit:that's coming through. Touch wood. I call them moments of
Amrit:lucidity. It's weird. I find them strange anyway, but
Amrit:incredible, right? Like I look back and go, "What was that? I
Amrit:carry on without the support, and I had to go for a check. And
Amrit:the doctor, the actual doctor, not the psychotherapist, the
Amrit:doctor, she was actually because she was from Thailand. She had
Amrit:this. She said to me, she sits down. She goes, "How's your
Amrit:progress going? Right. And I was like, "Look, it's okay. This,
Amrit:that, and the other. And she said, "Oh, I used to do a lot of
Amrit:mental health work, but I don't now. She had a different
Amrit:speciality now, and she said, "Look, I just want to give you
Amrit:this breathing exercise. I remember when I was like, like
Amrit:my adolescent brain. Yeah, someone goes, "I'll give you a
Amrit:breathing exercise, and I was just like, "A what? Like I was
Amrit:just, I was just too broed down. I wasn't open to this at all.
Amrit:Okay, so she writes down this breathing exercise, and I'm
Amrit:looking at it. I'm like, thanks. All right. Now, by some grace of
Amrit:God, I'd put the breathing exercise. I had a clear cover
Amrit:phone, and I put the breathing exercise in the back of the
Amrit:clear cover, facing up, which I don't even remember doing that.
Amrit:And I was in a situation back at university, and I was emptying
Amrit:out all of my locker because my life wasn't going the way that
Amrit:it should be. And so I cleared everything out, and I remember
Amrit:feeling really, really, really, really anxious. Now, his little
teaching moment:anxiety and depression are different things.
teaching moment:Yeah, I started with Eckhart Tolle for an extended period of
teaching moment:time. Became certified by Eckhart. So depression is where
teaching moment:you slip into the past and you spend more time in the past. Old
teaching moment:thoughts are depressing. It's like you should have, you could
teaching moment:have. Why didn't you? Depressing, yeah. That's why
teaching moment:Eckhart Tolle teaches about the present moment, the now, and the
teaching moment:future. It's like I wonder if is that going to be okay? The
teaching moment:future is anxiety. Yeah. So the solution again to be present in
teaching moment:the present moment to breathe in power of now. And what's the
teaching moment:most real time thing you've got to bring you into presence? Your
teaching moment:breath. Your breath. Even then, there's a lag if you get super
teaching moment:meditating. But just just hang to it's your breath, yeah. It's
teaching moment:like it's your breath, and so she's given me this breathing
teaching moment:exercise. I've pulled out my phone, and a really good book
teaching moment:for those that are interested in depression is Johann Hari Lost
teaching moment:Connections. I pulled out my phone to call a mate. This was
teaching moment:this is how I used to self medicate. I used to spend hours
teaching moment:on the phone talking to people, just friends, because we didn't
teaching moment:used to have chat forums online, there was no internet. This is
teaching moment:before the internet, yeah. So just after, but like not like
teaching moment:chatting and before social media. Sorry, I should say there
teaching moment:was there was internet. There was no social media, and so like
teaching moment:this. I was I pulled out the phone and I'm looking at the
teaching moment:back. And written is this breathing exercise, and I've
teaching moment:just paused long enough to not dial someone. Just go on
Unknown:12345,
Amrit:and you cannot imagine like my fascinations as each
Amrit:time I breathed in and out, the walls that were like collapsing
Amrit:in on me because I was feeling anxious. Literally, it felt like
Amrit:the corridor walls, not figuratively, literally the
Amrit:corridor walls were moving out with every breath, and I was
Amrit:like, "What is this? And so that became my journey with
Amrit:mindfulness. So I started to breathe. I started to breathe.
Amrit:Started to anchor the breath, and yeah, there was plenty in
Amrit:the past to be worried about. Yeah, and then there was like,
Amrit:but ready to let go, and so anchoring in the present moment.
Amrit:And so, what is depression, anxiety? Spending too much time
Amrit:in the past and not being anchored to present. Depression,
Amrit:depressing. Spending too much time. Now, these are things not
Amrit:to be demonized. Yeah, we learnt from our past. Even astrologers
Amrit:are looking at past astrology to understand present day events.
Amrit:Yeah, we learn from our mistakes. You need that
Amrit:function, and we have to be able to plan for the future.
Amrit:Astrologers be predicting too. Like you know, it's it's like a
Amrit:whole thing. We learn like we plan where we're going to go,
Amrit:and we develop to do that better. But it's when you spend
Amrit:too much time in either state and not present. You're meant to
Amrit:be anchored to the present. That's the whole power of now,
Amrit:Ekatole, right? And so this became my journey with
Amrit:mindfulness and meditation. I didn't know it was mindfulness
Amrit:time. I just had this breathing thing. Then I moved cities to
Amrit:start fresh all over again, which again was not recommended.
Amrit:But moment of lucidity led me to that, and so boom, traveled, and
Amrit:literally even with and that opened me up to okay, this is
Amrit:mindfulness. And then from there, I started to realize, oh,
Amrit:mindfulness is a form of meditation. You're Indian.
Amrit:You've been watching your dad meditate every morning for like
Amrit:how long? This is a really weird way to get here, but you're
Amrit:here. So just shut your eyes and do what your dad did, and so I
Amrit:just sat there. I just sat in my shit for ages, for ages and ages
Amrit:and ages, and it was brilliant. It was absolutely therapeutic. I
Amrit:like to say in podcasts like this, meditation reconstituted
Amrit:my life. Yeah, touch wood, and so of course I'm a massive
Amrit:evangelist for us. Please be mindful. Some people do have
Amrit:chemical imbalances, and you do need to take medications. But
Amrit:way less people
Kate Harlow:than way less people than it's yeah. Well,
Kate Harlow:this is the thing.
Amrit:In 2025, the stats they said one in two is walking
Amrit:around anxious or depressed. Sorry, with all the finger
Amrit:pointing, I just get too passionate about this. One in
Amrit:two is walking around anxious or depressed. Our solution is you
Amrit:cannot tell me sorry 50% of the population is meant to be
Amrit:medicated. Something's wrong with what you've got going on.
Amrit:If 50% of the people need to be medicated, either the system
Amrit:that's medicating them, either the system that they're living
Amrit:in-I don't know. Something that you tell me.
Kate Harlow:I think it's very rare that someone has a chemical
Kate Harlow:imbalance, so I actually speak out about this a little bit
Kate Harlow:because these systems are about money and power, and you know,
Kate Harlow:of course, there's a time and a place. But but if you haven't
Kate Harlow:gone down the rabbit hole, this is so important. And I feel like
Kate Harlow:that's what this episode is really about: is spirituality
Kate Harlow:and like the magic of your soul. And astrology is one lens to to
Kate Harlow:find it. But this like breath work, the power of now. If you
Kate Harlow:haven't deepened into meditation, I used to not be
Kate Harlow:able to meditate, and now I can meditate for hours and hours and
Kate Harlow:hours, and I love it. It's my favorite place to be. It's so
Kate Harlow:incredibly important. And if you have not built these practices
Kate Harlow:within yourself and in your life, and you're just going to
Kate Harlow:the doctor to numb that that feeling, it's like do yourself a
Kate Harlow:service, and you know, study with a teacher, or start to go
Kate Harlow:to some meditation circles, and perhaps you can share like
Kate Harlow:different practices or tools or teachers that help you start
Kate Harlow:this journey. But like, if you haven't gone on this journey
Kate Harlow:yourself and you are feeling anxious or depressed, like do
Kate Harlow:yourself and your soul and and your body, the service of
Kate Harlow:actually learning and and giving yourself the space to see if
Kate Harlow:this is possible for you too. Like what an important story
Kate Harlow:this is, because so many people have anxiety now, but it's just
Kate Harlow:because of the unnatural ways people are living and all the
Kate Harlow:toxins in food and the insane stress of the Western world and
Kate Harlow:how fast people are moving and all the junk we're consuming on
Kate Harlow:social media and the news and all the external chaos. Like
Kate Harlow:when you build this temple within, which it sounds like
Kate Harlow:your journey-that's what you started to do. You will have a
Kate Harlow:very different perception on these things.
Amrit:And one of the things, just to sort of bring astrology
Amrit:back into the conversation with meditation, one of the things,
Amrit:like just here's an example. I mean, there's so many tools, and
Amrit:I think even now, back to the shooting, we end up with so many
Amrit:tools that we could engage with. Again, I know I've drunk the
Amrit:Kool-Aid on astrology, so pardon me for that. But with something
Amrit:like Capricorn, right? You you go, hey, the number of
Amrit:Capricorns that I've met that go, hey, like meditation doesn't
Amrit:work for me, and I'm like, yeah, because my word for Cap, you're
Amrit:you're you're a being of ascension, yeah. And so when
Amrit:Capricorn sits down to meditate, I say I joke a little bit, if
Amrit:you hadn't noticed, but um, but yeah, I say modern day
Amrit:spirituality can end up a bit Ram Dasian, which I actually
Amrit:have so much love and reverence for Ramdas. So please don't get
Amrit:me the wrong way. It's with a lot of affection that I say
Amrit:that. But can be Ram Dassian, which is be here now, be here
Amrit:now, be here now. So you come in and you sit to meditate, and
Amrit:it's like, all right, I'll be here now. Yeah, and now
Amrit:generally your mind will wander, and then you, oh, that's one
Amrit:rep. Okay, bring it back in. Be here now. Oh, and then your mind
Amrit:will go wander again. But when you're a Capricorn and you sit
Amrit:down and you go, be here now, and the parts of you start to
Amrit:rise, yeah, and all of a sudden you're reining those parts of
Amrit:you back in. I mean, for me, that's your essence that you're
Amrit:reigning in actually a little bit because that's Capricorn.
Amrit:Capricorn is a being of ascension, so you're actually
Amrit:going against like there's a rise, and so what I offer to the
Amrit:Capricornian client for meditation is like, yo, don't
Amrit:worry about doing the meditation reps thing that everybody else
Amrit:does. Yeah, why don't you hang 10, set a timer for 15 minutes,
Amrit:sit down, watch yourself go on a journey, and come back and
Amrit:realize that the llama's beeping at you or flashing at you or
Amrit:whatever, and you've been gone for at least 2535, minutes.
Amrit:Incredible success results with Capricorns based on this
Amrit:conversation. They believe they can't meditate, but they
Amrit:genuinely can. But you know, but it's again understanding your
Amrit:type. What tools are best for what parts of me using my lens
Amrit:of astrology? It's just, it's just the efficacy is just so
Amrit:yeah. I really like it.
Kate Harlow:This is why everyone needs to understand
Kate Harlow:their chart because there's so many nuances, and we've been
Kate Harlow:taught like we're all supposed to be the same, but like we all
Kate Harlow:couldn't be more unique. Your story. So, so you went on this
Kate Harlow:journey of breath work and the power of now was was studying
Kate Harlow:with Eckhart Tolle.
Amrit:Yeah, absolutely incredible. But also not
Amrit:difficult in the ways that you'd think. But learning to be a
Amrit:purpose and presence coach by Eckhart Tolle, and it was really
Amrit:interesting because I've like he taught me a lot about presence.
Amrit:We've been talking about presence at the moment, but my
Amrit:deepest fascination has always been purpose. The message etched
Amrit:on the inside of my heart long before I even knew it is like
Amrit:health is purpose, purpose is health. That's literally like
Amrit:what's what's in there, and we can unpack that as we go. But so
Amrit:when he said like certify to become purpose coach, I was like
Amrit:yo, like there's something here. I want to understand what the
Amrit:the now person, the presence has to say about purpose because,
Amrit:again, purpose. Eckhart, you don't get to play purpose, mate.
Amrit:Like purpose is in the future. Purpose is anxiety. Like you've
Amrit:been helping with now. Bring us. This is your. And so we jumped
Amrit:in, and um, he had a very deep conversation around purpose. We
Amrit:can we can talk about that in terms of facilitating that for
Amrit:others as well, but a core part of his teachings for me, I found
Amrit:boiled back to getting people to embrace the isness. And at the
Amrit:time, like that was you know almost a long time ago now, six
Amrit:more years ago, more unknown. I was in a very different place to
Amrit:where I am now, and I found it very interesting to be able to
Amrit:teach something like that. Like I didn't find the teaching of
Amrit:that very practical. It's like how do I, as just everyday
Amrit:Amrit, sit down with people and go embrace the isness when I
Amrit:myself have nowhere near embraced the isness to the
Amrit:degree a cartoon has, not even remotely close or even in not
Amrit:even in the same country. Yeah, yeah. Talk about ballpark,
Amrit:whatever country, like just not even close. And so I'm meant to
Amrit:just sit here and be, I embrace the isness, and they're going to
Amrit:be looking me like how? And I was like, good question. Nice. I
Amrit:just so the the teachings were invaluable, but also the
Amrit:education and parting of the tools I found for myself, I'm
Amrit:sure there's plenty of great practitioners out there. For
Amrit:myself, a little bit clunkier, but I think that yeah, the key
Amrit:thing in there is came with that a lot of self awareness. Like
Amrit:that first part of you know the first dark night of the mind,
Amrit:the gift that came to me, like you know the dark harvest as
Amrit:they call it in some cultures, touchwood was meditation. Yeah,
Amrit:it gave me self awareness, mindfulness, and meditation. It
Amrit:was really an incredible gift. You know, do I wish six years of
Amrit:depression upon anybody? No. Was that necessary part of my
Amrit:journey? Absolutely. Would I have it any other way? Probably
Amrit:not. I don't wish depression upon my worst enemy, but.
Amrit:Actually, yeah. There's just an awareness that you know things
Amrit:had to go. That again, you look at your charts and you can see
Amrit:the dates and stuff. So I'll stop harping on about that. But
Amrit:the next part of even with all of that, right? So all that self
Amrit:awareness, I turned my life around. And when I finally
Amrit:graduated university, a few years later, I graduated, and
Amrit:this is going to sound egoic for a sec, so just pardon me for
Amrit:this, but there's a point to it. I graduated top of not just
Amrit:engineering, not just structural engineering, not just
Amrit:engineering, but also top of like the entire cohort for that
Amrit:year. It's called the J. N. McNichol Prize. You can go check
Amrit:it out online if you guys feel RMIT University, and I got
Amrit:gifted that I got awarded that prize, I should say. And the
Amrit:other caliber of candidates of students at the time that year
Amrit:were like phenomenal. And the largely they were choosing, you
Amrit:know, based on academic results, yes, and all this other stuff,
Amrit:sure. But then there was this interview process, and the last
Amrit:question they asked me in the last interview caught me
Amrit:completely off guard. Yeah, touch wood. They said they said
Amrit:why should we give this to you over everybody else that is
Amrit:running and made it this far for this award? And I I hadn't
Amrit:prepared for a question like that.
Amrit:I didn't know what to say, and it was one of those moments
Amrit:where Jesus had to take the wheel, right? As we say, and
Amrit:what came out of my mouth was, "Look, if you gave me this
Amrit:award, for me, just for me, it would mean a lot, and I can make
Amrit:a commitment to the award, right? In that, if you awarded
Amrit:me this award, I would use it to speak about the depth of
Amrit:awareness around mental health and just how, like, how is it
Amrit:possible that three years ago this was a person that was asked
Amrit:to leave university, and three years later this person is
Amrit:literally graduating top of a university, I would use this if
Amrit:you were to give me the award as an opportunity to highlight the
Amrit:importance of mental health and mental and raise mental health
Amrit:awareness. And so, I guess I'm fulfilling that here today,
Amrit:right? And so, this is again, it sounds a goat. You know, you did
Amrit:really well. Well done, mate. But this is important, right? In
Amrit:terms of the narrative of the story because that is the exact
Amrit:same person in a very different state. Like I say, meditation
Amrit:completely reconstituted my life. Touch wood, yeah. Now with
Amrit:that, you'd be like, "No, you're off to the races, and I kind of
Amrit:was, yeah. With an incredible award, I you know went out and I
Amrit:got the best job Melbourne could offer a young kid like me. You
Amrit:know, going into the workforce, paid really well. It was it was
Amrit:day one on the job. Welcome to the dark night of mine. Day one
Amrit:on the on the job, I looked at my regional director and I was
Amrit:like, oh, that person doesn't embody the values that I've been
Amrit:working so diligently on to rewrite to sort out everything
Amrit:that has happened from the past of you know yesteryear, my
Amrit:yesteryear, which I explained just before. And so then I was
Amrit:like, oh, this is weird. But then I carried this Gandhi quote
Amrit:with me a lot. It's still the Facebook quote on my Facebook
Amrit:after all these years. Be the change you wish to see in the
Amrit:world. So I was like, okay, maybe we'll be the change we
Amrit:wish to see in the world. And so I carried on and toiling away,
Amrit:and it was just talk about the existential cat being rubbed the
Amrit:wrong way. I mean, it was harrowing. I had moments, you
Amrit:know. It wasn't probably for the average person. I don't know,
Amrit:but it doesn't sound as bad as depression. And I was lucky that
Amrit:I knew what depression was like. This wasn't as depressing, but
Amrit:it was very close. And I think it was weird because I had
Amrit:meditation, so that made it. I had tools. I wonder what it
Amrit:would have been like without the tools. But nonetheless, I wasn't
Amrit:where I was meant to be. Yeah, you're out of life. I was
Amrit:working away on stuff, and yeah, yeah, but also everybody around
Amrit:me-I had no idea what the word alignment meant. I had no idea
Amrit:what the word purpose meant, and everybody around me had me
Amrit:convinced that this was the opportunity. It was just that,
Amrit:and I was like, "Better not blow it. And meanwhile, you're in it,
Amrit:and you're like, "This isn't it. And everyone's like, "Well done,
Amrit:and you're like, "For what? It's just like, but you can't say
Amrit:that to them. You can't say that to them. You're like, "Thanks,
Amrit:yeah, okay, and no concept, no concept until the push got to
Amrit:shove, and the push got to shove, and the push got to
Amrit:shove. It was interesting. It was very interesting. Yeah,
Amrit:there were so many moments in that particular year, which now
Amrit:ready. There was a great teacher of blanking on his name.
Amrit:Interviewed too many astrologers, but one of them,
Amrit:like an old, like they were reading old textbook, and the
Amrit:guy has written that if. If you feel like you are going through
Amrit:a dark night of the soul, contact your astrologer. I wish
Amrit:I had. I was going through Saturn's return. I was going
Amrit:through Saturn's return. Saturn checks in with you around your
Amrit:purpose and goes, "Are you doing the thing that you were put here
Amrit:to do? And my honest truth was no. But I didn't know I was
Amrit:going through a Saturn shift.
Amrit:I was just like, "This is odd. Like, what am I? And you know,
Amrit:it was suffocating, and it was. I felt like just to give you
Amrit:guys an example, I felt like you know, there's a part in the
Amrit:movie, yeah, the Matrix, where Morpheus takes Neo to what base
Amrit:reality is in the present moment. Yeah, sorry for those of
Amrit:you that aren't Matrix fans that don't don't get this, but it's
Amrit:in it's in the movie, and they're basically pan left, and
Amrit:the sky scorched, and basically Morpheus goes. It was actually
Amrit:believe it or not the humans that scorched the sky because
Amrit:they thought if we scorched the sky, the machines wouldn't have
Amrit:the energy to run because they relied on solar power. But in
Amrit:their infinite wisdom, the machines realized that human
Amrit:beings are a source of power. Human beings didn't even realize
Amrit:that about themselves. Hello, and now human beings are grown
Amrit:in a forest, like in a field, and a pan's left, and you see
Amrit:all of these red pods, right? Of like human beings growing, and
Amrit:they're plugged into a matrix, believing they're living a life
Amrit:while they're actually being harvested for the machine, touch
Amrit:wood. Now I know that's a really dark picture, but working every
Amrit:day in in out of misalignment to the things that mattered to me
Amrit:felt like I was an energy pod cell thing, giving the best
Amrit:years of your life. What? So that you can then retire at 65
Amrit:and go bungee jumping when your back can't take it. I'm not
Amrit:getting this. I'm missing something. Something's not
Amrit:adding up, and so I call that white picket fence lane. I was
Amrit:sold this idea of white picket fence lane. I think even as I
Amrit:say it, most people can tune into what I'm referring to: get
Amrit:a good job, get good grades. You know, sorry, get good grades,
Amrit:get a good job, raise a family, and then you know, at when you
Amrit:retire, you can finally live your your life, but life's
Amrit:happening in all those moments in between the things when
Amrit:you're even planning. Like this is your life, and I was aware
Amrit:that this mattered to me, yeah. And so, consistently going to
Amrit:work with this awareness that like this doesn't feel like the
Amrit:right place for me. It was, yeah, it was a hard time. The
Amrit:thing that the thing that cracked me open was the Inspired
Amrit:Evolution podcast was birthed out of this misalignment. Yeah,
Amrit:I saw individuals such as yourself, coaches, authoring
Amrit:like people that are authors, speakers, social entrepreneurs,
Amrit:people having a massive impact, yeah, doing things that matter
Amrit:to them. And even if their impact wasn't massive, how are
Amrit:you living a life in alignment to the things that matter to
Amrit:you? And it just turned out that these people were onto something
Amrit:cool as well. Yeah, you'd started talking to the world's
Amrit:leading hypnotherapist. I was like, "Wait, what's going on?
Amrit:Like, wow, you know. And you start talking to all these
Amrit:interesting people. So I was inspired by these people, yeah,
Amrit:by what they were doing for the world, but also wanted to
Amrit:understand more about like how they were doing that, yeah.
Amrit:Because all of society is leading us down this. I felt
Amrit:down this path that wasn't aligned to me, and I was ready
Amrit:to evolve. I was ready to evolve, and so the birth, the
Amrit:name of the Inspired Evolution came from, I'm inspired and I'm
Amrit:ready to evolve, and that was the birthplace of the podcast,
Amrit:the massive career misalignment. And yeah, I mean, I never really
Amrit:wanted to start a podcast in the first place. We can talk more
Amrit:about that, but that's the Cliff Notes version, and that's been
Amrit:how long now? Eight years of a podcast every week for the last
Amrit:eight years, and then the last two and a half, three years,
Amrit:it's been every two episodes every week without fail. Yeah.
Unknown:Were you
Kate Harlow:so were you still in your job when you started the
Kate Harlow:podcast, and that like how did that for a significant
Amrit:period of time there was an overlap? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
Amrit:yeah, yeah. Wow. Yeah, significant period of time.
Amrit:Yeah, significant period of time.
Unknown:Eight years for more
Amrit:than it hasn't been. I mean, we popped through two,
Amrit:yeah, maybe two years ago, maybe just this, yeah. But there was a
Amrit:lot, yeah, a lot of doing both at the same time. So working a
Amrit:full time job and a full time podcast somewhere there, or
Amrit:studying for a PhD too. There's just a lot going on, man. Touch,
Amrit:Clint. Yeah, it's an interesting time in my life. Yeah.
Kate Harlow:So, when did you get the call for the podcast? I
Kate Harlow:feel like this is so important because it's like about purpose
Kate Harlow:in my podcast.
Unknown:Oh, yes. Okay, when like okay, yeah, okay, yeah. How
Unknown:did you? So there was that moment of listening. Yeah.
Amrit:Okay, so there was Saturn's return, classic
Amrit:Saturn's return. Now let's talk about it from astrological lens.
Amrit:My wife and I are born in the same year, yeah, and so my
Amrit:wife's a dentist. Her Saturn return, I will share with you
Amrit:how it showed up for her. She rocks up to me, goes, Amrat,
Amrit:there's gonna be more to my life than filling holes in people's
Amrit:teeth, and I was like, "When you put it that way, like it's just
Amrit:like, of course there is. She's just like, "I don't know what
Amrit:that is. I want to go. I want to go on a trip, and I was like,
Amrit:"Okay, you should go. You know, she wanted to go on a sabbatical
Amrit:to go find herself. Touch wood, and to this day, I think her
Amrit:family, I think her family's words to her was like, "Oh, just
Amrit:check with Amra because we'd been in a long-term relationship
Amrit:for like six years at that point. And I think they had
Amrit:thought that there was no way I was going to let her go. And
Amrit:back to relationships, for me, a lot of my mates found it weird
Amrit:that like you know that I let her go. But even the way you say
Amrit:that, let her go, it's like who are you? Like someone that you
Amrit:deeply care about has just turned around and gone. Hey, I'm
Amrit:not feeling whole, but here's some stuff that I think if I
Amrit:want to go find myself be whole, and I'm like, dude, from a
Amrit:selfish standpoint, yeah, like I really like you. I like you
Amrit:whole. Like you go do what you need to go do. If you know what
Amrit:you need to go do, let me know if you need help with any of it,
Amrit:and so she went on a sabbatical. We didn't know for how long, but
Amrit:for about 10 months, it turned out overall. And the first six
Amrit:weeks, I went traveling with her for a bit. We went to like
Amrit:Kenya, did safari, really amazing, really amazing
Amrit:experience. Whole bunch to Kenya, Brazil, South America,
Amrit:Peru. It was really cool. She's an avid traveler. She's been to
Amrit:like 64 countries. I've been to 56. Touchwood. We've both got
Amrit:the bug. Now we've got kids, so no bugs. Kids have bugs. You
Amrit:stay home. But yeah. So she. Sorry, I found myself funny and
Amrit:I lost my train of thought. This is so average, but she's um.
Amrit:I've lost my train of thought. Bring me back. Her sabbatical.
Kate Harlow:Her sabbatical. Her sabbatical. Like she went on a
Kate Harlow:year long. Yeah, her sabbatical. Thank you so
Amrit:much. And so we both went through Saturn's return at the
Amrit:same time. Yeah, because she's born in 88. I'm born in 88. So
Amrit:we're all going to go. Both of us are going to go through that
Amrit:Saturn return at the same time. So she had this existential
Amrit:crisis, and she goes traveling, and they heard her way of like
Amrit:going to go find herself again. She's got Sagittarian elements
Amrit:to her chart. We know that now, but she went traveling to find
Amrit:herself. Yeah, which is exactly what a Sagittarian should do.
Amrit:But everyone's freaking out. Like, where are you going? Are
Amrit:you okay? What's your mental health like? You know, and I was
Amrit:like, yeah, I'm fine. I just need to go find myself. I just
Amrit:feel like there's more to it than this. And so, in that year,
Amrit:I stayed home after we went on this little initial part, and I
Amrit:came home and I was still working. I was looking after the
Amrit:dog, hanging out in the home, and it was a really cool period,
Amrit:if I can say so. Just tangent. Very rarely are you in a
Amrit:six-year relationship that you get to spend all this time by
Amrit:yourself, because usually after about six years, people are like
Amrit:living together. They're like your energies are very like one
Amrit:and the same. But you know, I got to learn myself all over
Amrit:again during this period. It was really interesting. She was
Amrit:right about a lot of things. Let's just save us all of that
Amrit:hassle. She was right about a lot of things. But yeah, I got
Amrit:to interface and meet my own energy whilst being in such a
Amrit:long term relationship, which was really really cool as a
Amrit:thing. I don't know how to architect that for people, but
Amrit:it was a cool thing that happened for us. In that period,
Amrit:I was very alone, yeah, very alone, and I was still working
Amrit:away. We luckily had our dog, and we were just. And I had a
Amrit:moment. I was sitting on the couch. I was sitting on the
Amrit:dining table, and I was watching a Tony Robbins video, and I just
Amrit:I had this moment of awareness when I just like I had an
Amrit:epiphany, and I turned to my wife, and I was like, "Oh, I
Amrit:just, and she wasn't there. She wasn't there on the couch where
Amrit:she always is, right, doing her thing, and I realized, and the
Amrit:next epiphany I had, epiphany on epiphanies, which is we call
Amrit:those mandala moments, where you spiraling in on yourself. It's
Amrit:like an epiphany, epiphany, on epiphany moment. Yeah, I was
Amrit:just sitting there and going, there are other people that
Amrit:surely must feel like this, surely, where they're having
Amrit:breakthroughs and they're hanging out on their own, and
Amrit:maybe we can engineer breakthroughs, but maybe we just
Amrit:hang out for a bit. I don't want to feel alone like this all the
Amrit:time, and so I gave myself 15 minutes to set up a Facebook
Amrit:group and invite people over to my house every two weeks. Yeah,
Amrit:and like a lot of things cascaded into this moment, in
Amrit:one moment in time, I was viscerally aware at the time in
Amrit:my personal development journey. That was the average of the five
Amrit:people I spent my time with. I had I'd given up alcohol, so I
Amrit:just quit. So like interacting with other people based on like
Amrit:sober events was like a thing for me. The other thing that was
Amrit:present for me was yeah, like when I first moved to Melbourne.
Amrit:I actually wanted to do Friday night drinks at my house every
Amrit:two weeks, and so that was ricketing around in there from a
Amrit:while ago. We had gone in our travels to a place we're in
Amrit:Mexico somewhere. Don't want to was it Cancun or Tulum? There
Amrit:was a there was a club called Mandala, and I remember seeing
Amrit:the word Mandala written there, and I was like, that's too
Amrit:sacred a word for a nightclub, because I'm sure there's
Amrit:probably some wrong things that go on in there. But anyway, and
Amrit:all of this cascaded into this one moment, and I called it
Amrit:mandala moments. So mandala moments. Every two weeks, people
Amrit:come over, we'll hang out, and yeah, I'll brew chai chats and
Amrit:community. It was chai chats and community, and I'm Indian.
Amrit:It's fitting chai wallet worked well, and I really love chats,
Amrit:and I really wanted to just sort of connect into community. The
Amrit:premise being, come in, let's hang out for a bit. If we don't
Amrit:have any topics of conversation, we'll watch a TED talk or
Amrit:something, and then from there we can unpack that. And so that
Amrit:was Mandala moments. And so every two weeks I started
Amrit:inviting, and I was very like the circle was very small.
Amrit:Remember, I was like inviting people. Nat is my first ever
Amrit:podcast guest. She's a total mandala momenter. Yeah, she was
Amrit:one of the first people at one of the earliest mandala moments.
Amrit:So that was my yoga teacher. There was like an author. There
Amrit:was a social entrepreneur guy that did backpacks. There was
Amrit:like a few really interesting people that I didn't normally
Amrit:hang out with, that I was viscerally aware of that I
Amrit:should be spending time with if I wanted to live a life more in
Amrit:alignment to the types of people that I wanted to spend time with
Amrit:in my downtime. So yeah, that became mandala moments that
Amrit:carried on for a while. I mean, people started doing their own
Amrit:mandala moments in their own little parts of wherever and
Amrit:around Australia. So that did its own thing. But it was
Amrit:actually in those mandala moments conversations that the
Amrit:the crew would be like, yo, you need to do a podcast. You need
Amrit:to record this conversation that we're having and put a put it in
Amrit:a podcast. People sitting around in my living room shooting the
Amrit:shit on philosophy, spirituality, personal
Amrit:development, growth, Eastern mysticism, Cole Young
Amrit:archetypes, all sorts of cools to conversations. Yeah, I
Amrit:thought anyway, and I was like, "Look, we don't go to the depths
Amrit:in the conversations that we go to because someone's listening.
Amrit:Like, if we put a mic in the room, there's going to be a
Amrit:leak. Yeah, there's a leak. Like, this is a container that
Amrit:we're in, and so we're we're having some really great
Amrit:conversations. But the minute you feel like someone else is
Amrit:listening, you show up a very different way. Could be
Amrit:listening, and so I wasn't in it. I was like, "Nah, this
Amrit:doesn't. Nah, I'm not into the whole microphone thing, and so
Amrit:that. But then people kept having these incredible
Amrit:conversations, and I'm like, "Dude, I'm hoping like you can
Amrit:record some of this. And it wasn't just to be clear, it
Amrit:wasn't me having these conversations yet. Like I'm just
Amrit:sitting in my living room. These are incredible people all around
Amrit:me, from around Melbourne, doing cool things, and I just get the
Amrit:opportunity to like I'll set a theme or an intention, or you
Amrit:know we'll just poke at something, or we'll watch a
Amrit:video together and just watch them like hang out, and we'll
Amrit:just hang out together and talk and think and hopefully grow and
Amrit:evolve together and explore our thinking and what we think about
Amrit:deep important topics and matters. It was incredible. I
Amrit:mean, by some stage, my my living room there was like 40
Amrit:people. It was like I lived in a townhouse. There was people
Amrit:sitting on the stairs downstairs, like down to the
Amrit:stairs. They couldn't hear me. Guide the meditation, but I was
Amrit:sitting on the stairs. I was like, "What are you doing? Like,
Amrit:but it was cool. Like it, it was a lot of fun. It was a lot of
Amrit:fun, and this community kept insisting, "You got to do a
Amrit:podcast. You got to do a podcast. Maybe after Mandala
Amrit:Moments, you get a few of the contributors together and then
Amrit:record the podcast. And I was just like, that just sounds like
Amrit:a lot of work. I'm not doing it all over again. Like I'm
Amrit:enjoying Mandala Moments as it is. I don't need to do do like
Amrit:recordings of stuff on the other side. So they kept insisting for
Amrit:months and months and months and months and months and months and
Amrit:months and months and anyway, so at some point, I read an email
Amrit:from there was a podcaster called London Real, Brian Rose,
Amrit:and he yeah he incredible podcast. It was the first
Amrit:podcast that I'd been exposed to.
Amrit:I'm not sure if Joe Rogan had popular spoken about plant
Amrit:medicines at that point, but yeah, he spoke about his plant
Amrit:medicines experience, London real, and I started following
Amrit:for some of that content. And he put out the call and he's like,
Amrit:"I'm looking for people to deliver a podcasting program to.
Amrit:And I was like, "Oh, that's interesting, and I just thought
Amrit:that like that was literally my thought. I was like, "Oh, that's
Amrit:interesting, and I like I just left it because it wasn't
Amrit:actually interesting to me, but it was like interesting the fact
Amrit:that everyone was bugging me about it and this guy is doing
Amrit:it, and I was like, okay, but that's all. And so I went to bed
Amrit:that night and I woke up at four in the morning. I I still can't
Amrit:tell you moments of lucidity. This is what I was talking about
Amrit:before. I woke up at four in the morning. I'm convinced it had to
Amrit:be four in the morning. I'm too too conscious the other times.
Amrit:So I woke up at four in the morning and just purchased the
Amrit:whole thing. It was very expensive. Anyway, I purchased
Amrit:the whole thing. Took a lot, like took took pretty much most
Amrit:of my savings. Bang! And I bought the podcast program in
Amrit:the morning. I woke up and I was like, "Did that? Surely I
Amrit:didn't. Did I? Really, like my wife, like Kay's like my
Amrit:partner's traveling, and I've just spent all of my savings
Amrit:onto a podcasting program. Like this is typical of Saturn
Amrit:return, by the way, guys. This is like exactly how Saturn
Amrit:return goes for so many people. But yeah, and that was like, and
Amrit:then I started eight weeks later. There was the podcast was
Amrit:like okay, born, and we were coming up with a name. I
Amrit:actually was initially going to call it Everyday Wisdom. That
Amrit:mattered to me. I was going to call it Everyday Wisdom because
Amrit:there's wisdom in everybody, and I think just connecting into
Amrit:that. And then my wife sat down with me, and she said,
Amrit:"Actually, the things that I know true to you is like you're
Amrit:always like following your inspirations, and you're always
Amrit:very inspired. Touchwood, and if I don't really know anyone
Amrit:that's like been as dedicated to evolution in my life than you,
Amrit:so I was like, oh, that's interesting. So she she she
Amrit:actually coined the term inspired evolution. Yeah,
Amrit:amazing.
Kate Harlow:I okay. There's there's multiple track sensing
Kate Harlow:here. Just the gift of the Mandela moments, I'm I'm
Kate Harlow:thinking with the with the New Truth audience being mostly
Kate Harlow:women, like y'all should do this. Everyone's always like,
Kate Harlow:where do I find conscious friends? How do I make aligned
Kate Harlow:people? Like you, you send me my chai
Amrit:recipe. You want it? I send you my chai recipe. Yes. Oh
Amrit:my
Kate Harlow:gosh, I would like your chai recipe for sure. I
Kate Harlow:love chai, but it it these Mandela moments of gathering
Kate Harlow:inspired souls in your living room, and you know it's like a
Kate Harlow:book club, but goes way way way beyond just reading books. And
Kate Harlow:how magical! I mean, just that picture I could feel that in
Kate Harlow:every cell of my being, and what a gift that would be to to I
Kate Harlow:mean all humans and women have been gathering since the
Kate Harlow:beginning of time, and in nuclear families are so isolated
Kate Harlow:and so isolated from connection, and and the feminine thrives on
Kate Harlow:connection and collaboration and community. So, I think that it's
Kate Harlow:not it's not a nice to have.
Amrit:Yeah, sorry, sorry, just to jump in there, it's not a
Amrit:luxury, yeah. Like looking back, like I was deeply remember the
Amrit:Matrix, like I was deeply career misaligned.
Kate Harlow:Yes.
Amrit:Yeah, and these connections every two weeks were
Amrit:such an important part of like just doing life well at that
Amrit:point.
Kate Harlow:Yes. Yeah. Such a gift. Like it was
Amrit:so important. It was so important that essence of
Amrit:community, and and just to like to your point. Sorry, I know I
Amrit:interrupted, but like the community called upon me to
Amrit:shift and change things that I was doing, and encouraged me to
Amrit:podcast. And had I not have listened and not been in
Amrit:community, I wouldn't be the person that's standing in front
Amrit:of you here today. What
Kate Harlow:you'd be, you'd be an engineer. You'd be in a mids
Kate Harlow:together.
Kate Harlow:Yes, and and and that. I mean, what a gift. And then also
Kate Harlow:picturing like how epic my podcasting journey was similar.
Kate Harlow:Although I used to do talks, it didn't wasn't like a living room
Kate Harlow:thing like yours. I used to do live talks. It was all live
Kate Harlow:events based until COVID, and people kept saying, "You need a
Kate Harlow:podcast. You need a podcast. You need a podcast. And this one
Kate Harlow:talk, women, five women came to the back of the room and were
Kate Harlow:like, "Kate, this has to be a podcast. We need to hear this
Kate Harlow:message over and over again. And I was like, "What's a podcast?
Kate Harlow:Like, and I've been my boyfriend at the time had told me like 100
Kate Harlow:times, "You need a podcast. And so finally, I was went home and
Kate Harlow:was like, "I need a podcast. I finally get the message, and it
Kate Harlow:was actually January 2020 when we launched, and so it was like
Kate Harlow:perfect timing right before COVID to to launch a podcast.
Kate Harlow:But just imagining how,
Amrit:yeah,
Kate Harlow:just just imagining how epic it. First of all, the
Kate Harlow:universe is always guiding us, so when we listen to these
Kate Harlow:calls, like look what happens for you, for me, but also just
Kate Harlow:as you're describing these Mandela moments, and I'm like
Kate Harlow:picturing the chai and the conversations and the laughter
Kate Harlow:and the depth, and like, oh my God, how changed everyone would
Kate Harlow:have felt after these experiences, and like how insane
Kate Harlow:that you you now have these Mandela moments on YouTube with
Kate Harlow:these extraordinary souls, and millions of people get to watch,
Kate Harlow:and it's like that. That it's like started in a living room.
Kate Harlow:Like that is so cool.
Amrit:Touchwood, touchwood. You're too kind. Yeah, I mean,
Amrit:yeah, but that is where it started. And like, if anyone
Amrit:ever asks me about inspired evolutions, it'll always be
Amrit:mandala moments that you know birthed it, and that community.
Amrit:I still got Nat up here because she was my first ever podcast
Amrit:cursed from, and I think the key point. Sorry, I missed out an
Amrit:element there, which is I didn't want to start a podcast because
Amrit:every time I switched a podcast on, I was listening to an
Amrit:expert, right? So back then, like everyone was like, start a
Amrit:podcast, and I checked out podcasts. I had my moment. I
Amrit:checked them out, and I was like, I'm an expert. I'm an
Amrit:expert. Listen to me. I'm an expert. Listen to me. And I was
Amrit:like, I'm an expert or nothing. Like I'm trying to find my way.
Amrit:I mean, I'm perpetual student vibes. What am I doing? What am
Amrit:I? What's my podcast going to be? I think that's important
Amrit:because, like, even now, people go, oh, like you might have felt
Amrit:like you always want. I didn't. I didn't. I didn't know what I
Amrit:needed to talk about.
Unknown:Yeah.
Amrit:Started interviewing people and just be like, "How
Amrit:did you get to where you are, and what are you doing? So that
Amrit:simple. That started eight years ago.
Kate Harlow:That's the power of now. Rather than I'm, I'm trying
Kate Harlow:to control people's perception of me, I'm an expert, versus
Kate Harlow:like you just just feels so incredibly powerful. You you
Kate Harlow:said yes finally, and of course we say no. We it's the hero's
Kate Harlow:journey. We refuse the call, and then it comes back around, and
Kate Harlow:you finally said yes to the call, and you trusted like okay,
Kate Harlow:the the ego's perception is I need to be an expert in order to
Kate Harlow:do this thing, and the soul is like I've been invited to do
Kate Harlow:this thing, so I'm just going to show up and see and and just be
Kate Harlow:in the now and look where you are now. It's incredible.
Amrit:Can I can I explain how Saturn's returns generally show
Amrit:up in people's lives? Do you reckon that might be helpful,
Kate Harlow:for sure.
Amrit:Awesome. So I find Saturn's returns can show up in
Amrit:many ways. Please don't program in what I'm about to say. Yeah,
Amrit:be very mindful. But they can show up in many ways. But
Amrit:generally speaking, yeah, they do show up. What I've seen from
Amrit:the readings in one of two fashions. Yeah, there are plenty
Amrit:more options, but generally Saturn's like an old
Amrit:grandfather. Yeah, these shifts that I've just discussed.
Amrit:Saturn's like an old grandfather. He teaches you kind
Amrit:of the hard way. My dad's got a little bit of Saturn in him.
Amrit:Yeah. So my what do I mean by that? I'll be like, oh, Dad,
Amrit:I've I've hurt my wrist. You know, fell off something. He's
Amrit:like, you should probably get it checked out. And I was like,
Amrit:"Yeah, I might sit on it for a couple of days and just sort of
Amrit:see, and then I'll, and then I'll see if I need to take it to
Amrit:the doctor. And he'd be like, "Which one? That one? And I was
Amrit:like, "Ah! And I was like, "Oh! And he's like, "Don't be silly.
Amrit:Go get it checked out. I was like, "Oh yeah, thanks, Dad. I
Amrit:think you know, like it's got this like there's this. It's it
Amrit:loves you, but very masculinely. Yeah, and this is what Saturn
Amrit:is. Saturn's a grandfather kind of energy. So when you go
Amrit:through Saturn's return, they generally come around every 27
Amrit:to 30 odd years. Saturn squares happen every seven to nine odd
Amrit:years. Yeah, and so when it comes around you. It's all about
Amrit:purpose. It's all about purpose with Saturn. Saturn rules your
Amrit:purpose, and it's. I love Saturn's shifts. Many people
Amrit:sort of go, "Hey, Saturn's coming. Be mindful. You're going
Amrit:to be going through a period. I mean, yes, but what is Saturn's
Amrit:main objective? It's to make sure that you fulfill the reason
Amrit:that you incarnated. I mean, yeah, he's got your back, but
Amrit:he's masculine about it. Yeah, so you will find like I was when
Amrit:I was career misaligned. Yeah, I was misaligned, and the pressure
Amrit:internally, like Saturn grabs the wrist. Like you go, like you
Amrit:go through Saturn soon. It's like I think everybody deals
Amrit:with the pressure of career misalignment, and we're all
Amrit:working like this, and it's okay. And he's like, really?
Amrit:This is okay, and it'll put some pressure in. And he'll be like,
Amrit:oh, I mean, yeah, I think I can handle it. Should be right. I
Amrit:mean, everybody's doing this, right? Like everybody's doing
Amrit:things that they don't necessarily love, and wake up in
Amrit:the morning and exchange money nine to five to build a life and
Amrit:pay for rent for a place that's so close to work that they never
Amrit:get to enjoy because they're always at work and they're
Amrit:working really late till night and they're like really tiring
Amrit:out and burning out. Everybody does that, and it's like, yeah,
Amrit:everybody does that. How are you going with that? You going with
Amrit:that? And you're like, oh, oh, yes. Saturn does not mind
Amrit:sticking its finger in your wound to make sure that you then
Amrit:ready with all that pressure eventually go back into
Amrit:alignment, yeah. So Saturn, if you're unaligned, yeah, I feel
Amrit:like shows up as pressure, shows up as dark pressure, and can be
Amrit:depressing for the psyche to navigate because it is looking
Amrit:to try and align you back, and the pressure is by design, yeah.
Amrit:It's a very masculine way of going about things, but it's
Amrit:good medicine. The other way, if you are aligned, yeah, went
Amrit:through Saturn Square recently, and you're you're already in
Amrit:alignment. You've got one foot just sort of cruising down, you
Amrit:know, 60k's an hour, you know, doing on the gas, doing your
Amrit:thing, and then Saturn rocks up and put both of his foot on the
Amrit:other gas pedal that you didn't even know existed, and all of a
Amrit:sudden you're traveling at 200 miles an hour, and people start
Amrit:to feel borderline burny outy, yeah. So it can feel depressing
Amrit:or burning outy. So no wonder people go, "Oh, Saturn's coming.
Amrit:Wait, what? You know. But it's again when you now know that
Amrit:when you're in these transits as well, we talked about self
Amrit:permission before. One of the other things that was my
Amrit:earliest love of astrology, resilience.
Amrit:I thought, like I always thought, like you know, I was
Amrit:reasonably resilient, and then I started going through some
Amrit:things. As you get older, you know, you go through some more
Amrit:things and you lose stuff, and it hurts. And sometimes you
Amrit:start to just, you know, realize that there's a lot of
Amrit:challenging stuff going on for adults. I. Was finding myself
Amrit:less and less resilient until I had an astrology reading and I
Amrit:looked at the astrological shift and I was like, oh, this shift
Amrit:is going on till here, so I'm going to be in a state until
Amrit:here, and I just realized, okay, cool. I just got up and I was
Amrit:like, I was just, I was so much more resourced. I was so much
Amrit:more resource, and I was like, "What is that? I was like, "Wow,
Amrit:I'm way more resilient if I know that there's an end, there's a
Amrit:light at the end of the tunnel. I'm just automatically more
Amrit:resilient. It's not even like I tried to be more resilient. It
Amrit:just something mindsetty. It just clicked in. But if I feel
Amrit:like this is my reality forever, you know, it was too, just like
Amrit:a whole thing, and so that I found like really, really
Amrit:incredible. So I was on the early loves, like the self
Amrit:permission piece, the resilience piece. So just knowing when your
Amrit:transits are and what's coming up and what's next. I mean,
Amrit:super handy, super handy. Oh, this is going to be a good time
Amrit:for this. Oh, my, the things I'm putting out in the world aren't
Amrit:working. Oh, why? Oh, it's a healing. This chart's in a
Amrit:healing phase. Oh, maybe I should do some inner work right
Amrit:now. Yeah, instead of trying to push all these things out. So I
Amrit:find it really helpful in that regard.
Kate Harlow:Yeah, rather than just feeding the story, like
Kate Harlow:it's so easy to get into story. Oh, I'm depressed. I am in
Kate Harlow:depression. Okay, I need to go to the doctor. I need to take a
Kate Harlow:pill. I need to not, rather than like, oh, actually, there's
Kate Harlow:something going on in my chart right now, and I'm having a
Kate Harlow:great awakening, and it's going to hurt a lot because when I'm
Kate Harlow:when I'm resisting and I'm out of alignment and I'm not
Kate Harlow:listening to the you know signals that are all around, and
Kate Harlow:like it just helps you not just understand your soul, as we
Kate Harlow:talked about so much in the beginning, but like your life
Kate Harlow:and your life's path, and the timing of where you are now, and
Kate Harlow:the timing of what's happening in the world, so that you can
Kate Harlow:make sense of these times that feel, yeah, more hard, or more
Kate Harlow:intense, or more emotional, or more light and free and fun, or
Kate Harlow:more easeful.
Amrit:Yeah, to your point. Thank you so much for mentioning
Amrit:that as well, because there are positive transits as well, like
Amrit:not that I don't actually believe in any negative
Amrit:transits. I'm really trippy. I don't know. I just I feel like
Amrit:your soul chose the chart and it's here and it's working with
Amrit:it because it was on its. This is its curriculum, and it's here
Amrit:to rock and roll with it. I mean, what's negative about it?
Amrit:Like that's your syllabus that you chose yourself in some ways.
Amrit:I know that's controversial, but astrologers think like that,
Amrit:yeah. And there are positive, but there, but then there are
Amrit:like some like Jupiter transiting through stuff.
Amrit:Sometimes can be like really elational, yeah, like really
Amrit:relational as well.
Kate Harlow:Yeah, and we grow through our challenge. Like the
Kate Harlow:the challenging, the Saturn return is like these these these
Kate Harlow:transits in our in our charts and in our lives are, and I know
Kate Harlow:everyone listening has had some sort of experience where you've
Kate Harlow:lost someone you love, or you've gone through a big breakup, or
Kate Harlow:you've gone through a big job loss, or some COVID. We all you
Kate Harlow:know experienced it during COVID. There's two types of
people:the people who stayed in suffering and smallness, and you
people:know, arguing with reality, and the people who took that time
people:and it became a massive catalyst for growth and new beginnings.
people:So, I mean, I don't think we can grow into all of who we are
people:without the challenging times. If it was just roses and
people:sunshine all the time, like that's, it's both. It's it's
people:it's the it's the human experience.
Amrit:Absolutely, absolutely. And again, just that resilience
Amrit:piece, like knowing that you're going through a time and knowing
Amrit:that you know it'll start to ease off, it'll soften. Even
Amrit:just knowing that you're in a time, I find sometimes people
Amrit:just want to know: Are they in a transit? Like, help me! And it's
Amrit:like you are, and they're like, "Oh, thank God! It's like, do
Amrit:you want to know when it ends? It's like, no, I just needed to
Amrit:know that I was in one, and I was just like, yeah, fair
Amrit:enough. Yeah, and I'm sure you can also
Kate Harlow:help them navigate it. Like if if you're speaking
Kate Harlow:to an astrologer who has all the awareness and tools and
Kate Harlow:understanding of what you're doing, I'm a big proponent
Amrit:for feeding the stars. Yeah, big time. Sorry, I got
Amrit:really passionate and talked over you. My apologies. Yeah,
Amrit:I'm a big proponent for feeding the stars, understanding the
Amrit:transit, and understanding what to do during that transit, given
Amrit:the nature of the transit. Super, super helpful. Like when
Amrit:I went through my Saturn Square, it was like heads down, bum up.
Amrit:Now that I knew I was going through a Saturn Square, and not
Amrit:to ask questions and just keep digging the trench, and then
Amrit:afterwards put your head up and go, and like I knew that I was
Amrit:going to be surprised by how far I'd come, and I was because I
Amrit:knew about Saturn. Touchwood, you know, you thought you dunked
Amrit:50 meters and you dug like six miles. What just happened?
Amrit:Saturn, both feet on both accelerators. Yeah, did you feel
Amrit:like your borderline burnt out? Yeah, but did you come a long
Amrit:way? Yeah, does Saturn care about you fulfilling your
Amrit:purpose? Absolutely, right. So I knew not to sort of check like
Amrit:and just like apply myself on the things that matter to me.
Amrit:Saturn's here, yeah. It wants me to make sure that you know if
Amrit:you're an entrepreneur and you're going through a Saturn
Amrit:square and you are aligned, apply yourself. What does Saturn
Amrit:want you to build? Yeah, straightforward as that. And you
Amrit:apply and don't ask questions like, "How's it going? Is it
Amrit:measured? As I now's on. Time to measure. You're literally
Amrit:digging trenches. Saturn is calling upon you, so yeah. And
Amrit:then there's Uranus transits, very different Neptune transits.
Amrit:Yeah, Pluto. Like yeah, it's good to learn how to walk with
Amrit:your Pluto transits. Very helpful. Very. And
Kate Harlow:to all of you who don't know this language, it's
Kate Harlow:just like you don't need to know the language. It's like there's
Kate Harlow:a lot happening at all times, and so to know your chart and to
Kate Harlow:know what's happening astrologically in the world is
Kate Harlow:so helpful for growth, for awakening, for get becoming more
Kate Harlow:and more aligned with what our souls are here to do. And I
Kate Harlow:would, I would love to hear more from the lens of your astrology
Kate Harlow:because you obviously have a really big podcast now. It's a
Kate Harlow:and and company behind the podcast. I would love to hear
Kate Harlow:about because this episode is about a lot about purpose, love,
Kate Harlow:and purpose. And I would love to hear about how you stepping into
Kate Harlow:your purpose, like how it's in your chart that and a lot in
Kate Harlow:alignment with what who you've become and what you've stepped
Kate Harlow:into and created, and also how that has alchemized and
Kate Harlow:impacted, and and like as you've learned your chart, stepped into
Kate Harlow:your chart, life has led you there probably before you even
Kate Harlow:knew it existed. How has it affected your home life, your
Kate Harlow:relationship, your your marriage, your family life?
Amrit:I mean, the the the lowest hanging fruit to go hella
Amrit:hard on in there is parenting. I know we're talking about
Amrit:relationships, but that's a really important relationship it
Amrit:is to me anyway. Sure, like becoming a parent. Like yes,
Amrit:like there was lots of cool things about learning my chart.
Amrit:Absolutely, like I mean, it gave me so much everything we've been
discussing:resilience with the transit, self permission,
discussing:accepting my shadows, understanding my gifts,
discussing:understanding my gifts. Touch wood. Still learning. Still
discussing:learning more about my shadows. Still learning more about
discussing:astrology is one of those things. The more you learn, the
discussing:less you know.
Unknown:For
Amrit:me, that's the hallmark of divine of divine arts, divine
Amrit:sciences, mathematics. The more you know, the less you actually
Amrit:know. Music. The more you know, the less you actually know.
Amrit:Yeah, these things are divine. Yeah, and so yeah, I tracking
Amrit:back to like how many. I'm gonna let the cat out of the bag. I
Amrit:have poor sleep hygiene, Touchwood, primarily because I
Amrit:fall asleep to comparing my charts, my kids' charts, and all
Amrit:this sort of stuff. I'm just looking at charts. I fall asleep
Amrit:staring at charts. I can't help myself when transits and like
Amrit:femorises and stuff. I just yeah, I'm just looking actually
Amrit:at charts. Yeah, so I mean, when you say was there seismic
Amrit:awarenesses consistently, even every day today, that come
Amrit:through astrology. That I'm like, oh, that aspect in that
Amrit:chart. Wow, that's what happened today, and that's what happened.
Amrit:I consult my chart every day, every day. I take a look at you
Amrit:know how the day went and how what the chart had to say about
Amrit:it. I found that as a really good tool to learn transits and
Amrit:learn astrology. But to your point, I mean, learning about my
Amrit:moon, learning about my sun, learning about my rising. My
Amrit:rising's probably the thing that's given me the most
Amrit:recently. But also, I'm conscious, like I learned from
Amrit:Deborah Silverman, and for her, like rising is like come rise
Amrit:into your rising. Yeah. Oh, I love that rising to your rising.
Kate Harlow:Beautiful.
Amrit:Yeah, that's Deborah Silverman. She's awesome. She's
Amrit:absolutely awesome. Cannot advocate her hard enough. She's
Amrit:an absolute fairy godmother when it comes to astrology. She has
Amrit:activated so many different astrologers. Like she's super
Amrit:cool, man. Highly recommend if I haven't already said that. And
Amrit:so yeah, stepping into the rising sign, understanding that
Amrit:Taurus component of me has been really helpful, really helpful.
Amrit:But for me, it's also I get into loops, and I don't want to
Amrit:confuse everybody. But like, I'm also in Vedic astrology, Aries
Amrit:rising, and that's where it gets super confusing for people
Amrit:because they're like, "Wait, you can't be Aries rising, and you
Amrit:can't be Taurus rising. And I'd be like, "Yeah, you're right,
Amrit:but and then becomes the whole parabola in terms of the place
Amrit:for Vedic astrology, the place for Western astrology, the place
Amrit:for Hellenic astrology, and how they do the dance amongst each
Amrit:other. Yeah, I mean, I'm just I'm a student of astrology, so I
Amrit:seem to be studying and reading in kind of all three modalities,
Amrit:which I think is a little bit odd, but it makes sense in my
Amrit:head. It makes sense in my head, and it and it seems to be very
Amrit:supportive for people, and happy to go through some of that if
Amrit:you want. But I'm conscious. And so, do you feel like under
Kate Harlow:since you've been deeply studying astrology, do
Kate Harlow:you feel like it has changed your depth of relationship with
Kate Harlow:your partner? Like you've obviously been together for a
Kate Harlow:long time, and and on your journey since before you were in
Kate Harlow:the on alignment to being in alignment, like how has your
Kate Harlow:relationship shifted?
Amrit:Yeah, big time. Yeah, big time. I am. I understand her so
Amrit:much better because I know her placements and I know her
Amrit:propensities, and I know also where we can like little things.
Amrit:So Gemini, she's a Gemini son. I'm. Virgo Sun, yeah, the the
Amrit:the catchphrase for Gemini's, yeah, is I think. Gemini's love
Amrit:to think. They're very neural. They're an air sign. They're
Amrit:intellectual. Virgos, the catchphrase is I analyze, I
Amrit:analyze, I analyze. Yeah, Virgos are very earthen. That's why
Amrit:they make great medical professionals and also great
Amrit:engineers. Yeah, they're analyzing. Analyzing you,
Amrit:analyze. You perform. You iterate. Yeah, and so now if you
Amrit:stick a Gemini and a Virgo together, they they get along
Amrit:quite well because one person's thinking and the other person's
Amrit:analyzing. One person's thinking, the other person's
Amrit:analyzing. One person's thinking, the other person's
Amrit:analyzing. If one person won't stop thinking, the other person
Amrit:won't stop analyzing. If one person won't stop analyzing, the
Amrit:other person won't stop thinking. Okay, it's cool to
Amrit:know that we have these propensities and we work really
Amrit:well together. Because sometimes you're thinking about stuff and
Amrit:I'm analyzing it, and it's working really well. Sometimes I
Amrit:analyze things and you start to think about it, and we get fresh
Amrit:space. It's really cool. You can see how the synergy works, but
Amrit:you also got to watch out for your shadows, that's just one
Amrit:domain, yeah. Then you look at your risings, what you're both
Amrit:growing into, yeah. Like we have complementary risings, which is
Amrit:great, yeah. But it also means that we were our sun. We're more
Amrit:our sun signs now. We're growing into our rising signs. We're
Amrit:becoming more and more of our rising signs. She's a Gemini
Amrit:growing into a very different rising sign, and that means
Amrit:she's going to go through some significant shifts in her life
Amrit:as she starts to embrace more and more of that. What spirit
Amrit:calls on her to embrace, which is cool, but it also means as
Amrit:her partner, I'm going to have to shift dynamics in what I do
Amrit:as well. Now we can have a mature conversation about you're
Amrit:becoming more like this, and I'm going to become more like my
Amrit:rising sign, and the life we got together on was very sun sign
Amrit:based. And so now, what does that mean in terms of where
Amrit:we're headed? Does it still align? Do we have a similar
Amrit:vision? Are we, you know, we can have mature conversations about
Amrit:this? You'll find actually, yeah, you usually are very
Amrit:aligned because both of your souls chose the chart. You know,
Amrit:touch wood, hopefully, yeah, and bouncing into each other, touch
Amrit:wood, right?
Unknown:Yeah.
Amrit:But they-it's a great conversation. Then you can
Amrit:understand each other. It's like, oh, that's that aspect of
Amrit:you. I don't have to, you know, like engage with that, or I
Amrit:don't have to correct you on that anymore. I realize that's
Amrit:just you, you know. There's, oh man, there's so much. Like,
Amrit:there's so much. Hopefully, I'm giving some good examples. I'm
Amrit:overwhelmed by how many examples there are, to be honest.
Kate Harlow:Yeah, it's so beautiful because it's like to
Kate Harlow:think. I mean, even that question of like, is this still
Kate Harlow:aligned? You know, because we're not like that. I mean, that
Kate Harlow:alone. I think we did an episode, the very beginning of
Kate Harlow:the New Truth. I think it was episode six. It was called "Fuck
Kate Harlow:the Rules, Make Your Own, and it was it stemmed from a a good
Kate Harlow:dear friend of mine who's a self love self love relationship
Kate Harlow:teacher coach from Vancouver named Kelsey Grant. We we were
Kate Harlow:having wine one night out for dinner. This is many many years
Kate Harlow:ago. I'm also sensitive to alcohol now, but we were having
Kate Harlow:like a pizza wine night. We were talking about marriage, and and
Kate Harlow:I said, "Is it something you'd ever be open to? And she was
Kate Harlow:like, "You know, if it was like a car lease, more like a car
Kate Harlow:lease, I might consider it. And we just like went on this big
Kate Harlow:tangent, like you know, if we every four years like had a
Kate Harlow:conversation and looked at like, are we renewing this lease, and
Kate Harlow:you go for oil checkups every month, and you do this and that
Kate Harlow:and the other. And it's like if it was more like that, where
Kate Harlow:it's actually this living, breathing thing that you're
Kate Harlow:constantly checking in with and exploring, and and so we ended
Kate Harlow:up recording an episode based on this. But just thinking how
Kate Harlow:astrology allows you to see your, we're always evolve,
Kate Harlow:inspired evolution. We're always evolving, and so to sign a
Kate Harlow:contract and be like, "Yep, I'll be with you till death. You'll
Kate Harlow:be with me till death, no matter what. It's like, but you might
Kate Harlow:evolve in totally different directions, and that's actually
Kate Harlow:what's true for your soul. But the old paradigm tells us,
Kate Harlow:"Nope, you've got to stay together no matter what, and
Kate Harlow:this is the only option, and this is what marriage looks
Kate Harlow:like, and this is what relationships look like, and yet
Kate Harlow:our souls, like if we're living from the soul and we're not
Kate Harlow:choosing the out of alignment path that creates incredible
Kate Harlow:anxiety and depression, and then we take pills or do our own self
Kate Harlow:medication to numb how we feel. That's an option. That's a life
Kate Harlow:that many people live, where they're just choosing the
Kate Harlow:misaligned path, maybe because they don't know what they don't
Kate Harlow:know, and they're they're you know numbing themselves through
Kate Harlow:it. Or there's the soul led life, which is you know I
Kate Harlow:imagine everyone listening to this podcast, to your podcast,
Kate Harlow:where it's like we know we're here for something deeper, and
Kate Harlow:we continue to explore that. And as you keep growing and
Kate Harlow:evolving, and your chart keeps changing, so will your partners.
Kate Harlow:And there might come a point, a point in time where where your
Kate Harlow:paths are just going in completely different directions,
Kate Harlow:and that you can lovingly. I'm not saying that's happening for
Kate Harlow:you and your wife, but you can lovingly, you know, change the
Kate Harlow:container of the relationship if that's the case. But if you if
Kate Harlow:you're so, I I think that's too one of the gifts. Of being able
Kate Harlow:to sit down and be like, okay, this is who you've become. This
Kate Harlow:is who I've become. Does this still align? Rather than just
Kate Harlow:assuming and putting ourselves in boxes and like, even if it
Kate Harlow:isn't aligned, like your job. Like we do that with
Kate Harlow:relationships too. Like your job, staying in a misaligned job
Kate Harlow:because other people are saying, oh, it's great. That's good.
Kate Harlow:Good job. The same. When you told that story, I thought about
Kate Harlow:5050. My parents are about to have their 50th wedding
Kate Harlow:anniversary, and they're adorable and love each other so
Kate Harlow:much and have a great relationship. But how many? I
Kate Harlow:went to my grandparents' 70th wedding anniversary, and they
Kate Harlow:hated each other, and they were so out of alignment, and they,
Kate Harlow:you know, and that was their soul's path. Bless them; they're
Kate Harlow:on the other side now. They died five weeks apart. They're like
Kate Harlow:that. That was what they were here to do. I'm not saying it
Kate Harlow:was wrong, but like for the awakened soul who's here to
Kate Harlow:follow the soul, it's like the the society celebrates the job
Kate Harlow:that's good on paper. Society celebrates the relationship that
Kate Harlow:lasts 70 years, even if people hate each other and are living
Kate Harlow:in misery together.
Kate Harlow:So it's like, but when you're living from your soul, it's a
Kate Harlow:living, breathing thing. Like you said, there's you, your
Kate Harlow:partner, and then this union, and it may change and morph. And
Kate Harlow:how beautiful to have practices to be like seeing where are we
Kate Harlow:now, and is this still aligned, and does this still feel
Kate Harlow:supportive of both of us in our dreams and where we're going and
Kate Harlow:what we're what we're becoming and growing into.
Amrit:Touch wood, and it's not always like yeah. I want to be
Amrit:clear as well. It gives us so much space for conversation. And
Amrit:just for those that are tuning in, like it doesn't have to be
Amrit:that both of you study astrology. She kind of gets what
Amrit:I teach her. She's not like gung ho nerded out about it.
Amrit:Sometimes she tells me off for using too much astero speak.
Amrit:It's great to have a partner to ground you. It's but yeah, it's
Amrit:you know it's. But I can see that we have a lot of great
Amrit:conversations based on, and I can bring conversations to the
Amrit:table because I can see the transits, I can see the charts,
Amrit:and every now and then she'll be going through a day, and she'll
Amrit:be like, "What happened today? What was going on in the charts?
Amrit:And I'm like, "Yeah, we can have more of a, and I think one of my
Amrit:we I remember having this conversation with someone that
Amrit:was important to me, and it went, "I was like relationships
Amrit:are all about trust and communication. Relationships are
Amrit:all about trust and communication. That was my
Amrit:verdict. The other person turned around to me and said,
Amrit:"Actually, I think they're just about communication. I was like,
Amrit:"Wait, what do you mean you can't build a relationship
Amrit:without trust? And their response to me was, "You can't
Amrit:build trust without communication.
Kate Harlow:Communication is what creates trust.
Amrit:Feel very got you there. Very gotten in the best way, and
Amrit:so yeah, right. So and literally, we had you know we
Amrit:were reveling in Stephen Forrest, who came on the podcast
Amrit:recently. When you asked him what astrology is, he said. His
Amrit:response was, "It's communication. Yeah, I mean,
Amrit:stars are communicating with us. We're communicating with the
Amrit:universe, but also it gives us an opportunity to communicate
Amrit:with each other, to understand how to communicate to each
Amrit:other, which parts of our life are communicating with each
Amrit:other that we're not even aware of that are working well, that
Amrit:aren't working well. Can we count our blessings? There's a
Amrit:lot. There's a lot in there, but you get to appreciate each other
Amrit:in a very different way as well. I mean, instead of seeing
Amrit:yourself-I mean, for me, just to sort of touch with Bear might be
Amrit:a bit-but instead of seeing my partner as in a big amorphous
Amrit:blob, which I don't see her as a, but you know, also seeing all
Amrit:of her constellations and her placements, and kind of going,
Amrit:"Wow, you've got this here, and wow, you've got that there. Ah,
Amrit:I've got this here, and you've got that there. Oh, dude, no
Amrit:way! You know, and it's just like it's, it's fun. It's really
Amrit:fun to really understand that. Yeah, yeah. In terms, and also
Amrit:then to sort of see how the two charts support each other,
Amrit:support each other. I mean, that's cool, man. That's really
Amrit:cool to see.
Kate Harlow:It's also like seeing your partner is so
Kate Harlow:beautiful to understand. It's like you see them maybe,
Kate Harlow:especially as an astrologer. But I imagine for someone who wanted
Kate Harlow:to have a reading where you read their chart and their partner's
Kate Harlow:chart, you it's like you get to see them deeper than they see
Kate Harlow:themselves, like that, because that's how I felt when I had the
Kate Harlow:reading with you. I felt so seen, and you were a total
Kate Harlow:stranger. Like I'd seen you interview people on YouTube, but
Kate Harlow:like we didn't know each other. You didn't know me at all, and
Kate Harlow:and and yet I felt so seen and so understood and so like in
Kate Harlow:alignment. Really, it was like a reflection of the alignment of
Kate Harlow:of living in the soul, and I and what a gift to be able to see
Kate Harlow:your partner even beyond what they can see. Like to know. So
Kate Harlow:if you're the for those of you listening, like if you're the
Kate Harlow:one who wants to dig in and learn more about your own chart
Kate Harlow:and perhaps your partner's chart, how beautiful or some.
Kate Harlow:Else, you love your. I I look up a lot of my clients' kids'
Kate Harlow:charts. They're human designs. They're like to understand your
Kate Harlow:children's charts. I mean, that's a massive gift. I my
Kate Harlow:clients that look up their kids' charts and they find out they
Kate Harlow:have a projector kid, and I'm like, oh my gosh, let me teach
Kate Harlow:you how to help a projector. Because I wish I wish the world
Kate Harlow:supported me being a projector when I was a kid. So, like, this
Kate Harlow:is such a beautiful way to see people on such a deeper level
Kate Harlow:than maybe even they see themselves. Especially if your
Kate Harlow:wife, she's curious but not necessarily on the path in the
Kate Harlow:same way. You get to bring that gift to her of like really being
Kate Harlow:fascinated by all of these amazing parts of her that she
Kate Harlow:doesn't necessarily even know are there,
Amrit:and also help her with parts that she may not be aware
Amrit:of, you know, that are there. I mean, you know, Gemini's can
Amrit:spend a lot of time thinking, you know, and you can help them
Amrit:think about things that are supportive. You can put on
Amrit:music, you know. You can learn strategies not just that would
Amrit:support your chart. You learn the strategies of the other
Amrit:person's chart too, and you apply them as if they were
Amrit:yours. I mean, yeah,
Kate Harlow:amazing. So I would love, you know, I imagine
Kate Harlow:there's some women listening who don't know a ton about their
Kate Harlow:chart, and I know that your first reading, the first reading
Kate Harlow:I had with you, is all about really deeply understanding your
Kate Harlow:sun, moon, and rising. Can you tell us a little bit about that
Kate Harlow:and about why, like how that will help you in your life? Why,
Kate Harlow:obviously, there's so many layers to astrology. You can
Kate Harlow:have 10 million readings and learn more, more, more. There's
Kate Harlow:endless, endless, endless things to understand about your chart.
Kate Harlow:But like, why is it so important for someone to really deeply
Kate Harlow:understand their sun, moon, and rising, what's the difference?
Kate Harlow:And yeah, I think that would be a great place. And how's it
Kate Harlow:going to affect their relationships and their purpose
Amrit:for for a Western astrology reading? Yeah, there's
Amrit:generally three, sometimes four parts to an initial reading,
Amrit:depending on where you're coming from and what's going on for
Amrit:you, of one of the parts, as Kate is describing, we go
Amrit:through your sun, moon, and rising. If time permits, we go
Amrit:into understanding some of the other placements that you have.
Amrit:Depends how new you are to astrology. If you're new to
Amrit:astrology, getting a reading for the first time, then usually,
Amrit:yeah, sun, moon, rising, but sometimes not even new to
Amrit:astrology. I mean, a lot of us allies. But studying Vedic,
Amrit:Western, Hellenic, like there's some. Yeah, I've had to. Anyway,
Amrit:sun, moon, and rising is an interesting thing to understand.
Amrit:These are your central placements. These are your
Amrit:central placements. In Vedic, it's a different reading style,
Amrit:and so on and so forth. But in the Western reading,
Amrit:understanding your son is your personality. Yeah, it's the
Amrit:personhood you embody. Yeah, I like to say if you've got a
Amrit:healthy relationship with ego, I believe this is that construct
Amrit:of ego. Amongst my mates, how I like to say it is there is the
Amrit:unified field of consciousness, and they're like, "There's what?
Amrit:And I'm like, "Yeah, mate, come on, keep up. There's the unified
Amrit:field of consciousness, right? And out of there, a sock puppet
Amrit:emerges, and they're like, "A what now? And I'm like, "Yeah,
Amrit:mate, it's a sock puppet. Just stay with me. And the color of
Amrit:that sock, right, is your sun sign, in my humble opinion,
Amrit:yeah, it's the personhood, the skin suit, but the energetic
Amrit:skin suit, it's the metaphysical skin suit that your body wears.
Amrit:Everything coming in and out of you is of that color of the sun
Amrit:sign, so it's really handy to know. It's a very central
Amrit:placement. Everybody generally knows their sun sign, but I
Amrit:mean, little known fun facts like if you were born at night,
Amrit:if you were born at night, the moon. Sorry,
Kate Harlow:there's sorry. There's a slight delay. What's
Kate Harlow:yours, Virgo? Your sun,
Amrit:Virgo. Yeah, Virgo sun. Yeah, Virgo. And um, and then
Amrit:the moon sign is. I mean, if you yeah, if you're born at night,
Amrit:actually the moon rules your chart even more than the sun
Amrit:does, and you've been walking around your whole life thinking
Amrit:that you're more your sun sign. But you were born a nighttime
Amrit:baby. Listen to your moon a little bit more. The moon was
Amrit:the the luminary that heralded you that night into your body
Amrit:when you came. So you might be a lunar being thinking you're
Amrit:following your sun sign tightly. Your moon sign is your inner
Amrit:emotional landscape? Yeah, it's your inner emotional landscape.
Amrit:It's how you like to emote. The easiest way I like to describe
Amrit:is like when you're brooding with yourself, you're brooding
Amrit:in the shadow aspects of your moonlight. It's how you are with
Amrit:yourself as well. But also your friends, your family, your
Amrit:innermost loved ones-they actually know you as your moon
Amrit:sign. When we're talking about family dynamics, relationship
Amrit:charts, it's actually really cool to have a look at sun and
Amrit:moon. But like, moon is a really, really great placement.
Amrit:Really great placements. I've seen some really great
Amrit:placements when her moon connects to his sun. That's
Amrit:really. Good, that's really good. What do you mean? I find
Amrit:shared. Well, her moon is her inner emotional landscape. Yeah,
Amrit:and his personality is also that sun sign. So let's just say her
Amrit:moon was Cancer, and he's a Cancer, but his sun sign's
Amrit:Cancer. So it's not just about he's got a moon in Cancer, she's
Amrit:got a moon in Cancer. Yeah, I mean that is a point of
Amrit:connection. But sometimes these different placements, because
Amrit:men are more masculine, so holding it in his sun, and women
Amrit:are more feminine, so they're holding that in her moon. But
Amrit:they've got that connection in her femininity, in his
Amrit:masculinity. That's cool. That's really cool to see when you see
Amrit:elements like this. And then you can oh yeah, this is parts that
Amrit:bond you. Sometimes it's your mind. Yeah, I've seen I've seen
Amrit:charts where someone's like the the female's Mercury connects to
Amrit:the male's Mars, and it's just too easy to sort of see in that
Amrit:point. Like he goes about doing things in the world that matter
Amrit:to her. She's like they're running a family business, yeah.
Amrit:So she's running the family business, but he's the one
Amrit:that's actually the muscle of the business, and she's the
Amrit:brains and the accountant. Yeah, Mercury Mars. You can sort of
Amrit:see how it all pans out. So there's lots of different
Amrit:examples where you can see these cross placements. Am I answering
Amrit:your question?
Kate Harlow:Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then just the rising,
Kate Harlow:because those are the three you do on the first reading, right?
Amrit:The rising is the yeah, cool. Thank you. I was just
Amrit:checking if there's any other questions about the moon. The
Amrit:rising is according to Deborah Silverman, in particular, the
Amrit:rising is the sign of your soul. Yeah, it's the sign of your
Amrit:soul. Depending on which astrology you sit with, which
Amrit:astrology you speak to, there are different schools of thought
Amrit:on your rising sign, and it's important to know which one you
Amrit:resonate with. I say that because yeah, people will have
Amrit:heard different opinions on different thoughts on astrology,
Amrit:and it's important. This is quite a fundamental placement.
Amrit:To have a different opinion on it shows just how vast and open
Amrit:astrology really is, in my humble opinion, which also makes
Amrit:it really rich in its own way. So the rising sign is a sign of
Amrit:your soul, and Deborah would say it's a sign you're consistently
Amrit:trying to grow into poetically. What I like to say is you've got
Amrit:your sun, you've got your moon, but as you more and more
Amrit:spiritually mature, the rising sign starts to eclipse your sun
Amrit:and your moon. In the Deborah Silverman worldview, in my
Amrit:humble opinion, so you're growing into your rising sign
Amrit:more and more as you go. It's the sign of your soul,
Kate Harlow:and that and that's just circling back to what you
Kate Harlow:said about you and your wife, is that the the you you're now you
Kate Harlow:met when you were more in your sun signs and moon signs, I
Kate Harlow:guess you said, and then now you're you're because you've
Kate Harlow:been together so long, are both evolving more into your rising.
Kate Harlow:Now I'm curious. I think your rising is Taurus. What's your
Kate Harlow:wife's rising?
Amrit:It's
Kate Harlow:cancer. Ah, beautiful. So you're so how? I'm
Kate Harlow:so curious if you can explain like how your relationship has
Kate Harlow:grown and changed into those things. Because if you you you
Kate Harlow:just said the eclipse, the the rising is eclipsing the sun and
Kate Harlow:the moon. So how has your relationship shifted as you have
Kate Harlow:evolved more into your souls, into your rising together?
Amrit:I mean, it's there's so many threads to that. Just the
Amrit:easiest one is my wife was a dentist,
Kate Harlow:right?
Amrit:Yeah, and as she's growing more and more
Amrit:spiritually, like her spiritual, like she's given birth to three
Amrit:incredible boys. Touch wood, touch wood, touch wood each time
Amrit:for each boy. I guess he's gonna do that. Yeah, it's she. She
Amrit:doesn't want to. Like I don't think she'll. I mean, she may
Amrit:not go back to work as a dentist. Yeah, she may. She may
Amrit:not.
Kate Harlow:Yeah.
Amrit:Does cancer really want to be working as a dentist? I'm
Amrit:not sure. Cancers are homebodies. They love to be at
Amrit:home. Intimacy, home hearth, and intimacy is cancer belonging? So
Amrit:I can imagine as she has more and more children, she probably
Amrit:wants to stay home more and more because she's cancer rising, and
Amrit:she had these. It's like she's growing every time she has a
Amrit:child spiritually, so she's opening up more and more, and it
Amrit:means a lot to her. Probably, I don't know. I can see from her
Amrit:chart potentially.
Kate Harlow:Beautiful. So you should open up parts of
Amrit:herself as she, you know, goes on the journey because
Amrit:Cancerians have that right, and so parenting and motherhood as a
Amrit:Cancerian is incredibly rewarding. Is it as rewarding as
Amrit:a career in dentistry is to a Gemini? Is the question. Is the
Amrit:question. Can I answer it? No.
Unknown:Yeah.
Amrit:But am I aware of a shift potentially coming? Yeah. Are we
Amrit:going to have a chat about it? Yeah. Why? Can I see it in the
Amrit:chat? Yeah. Does that make sense?
Kate Harlow:Yeah, it's beautiful, and and I love just
Kate Harlow:picturing like the her evolving more into her soul alignment
Kate Harlow:through. Being a mom, because cancers are so nurturing, like
Kate Harlow:that-that is so beautiful.
Amrit:Absolutely,
Kate Harlow:every every new boy that comes along, she gets to
Kate Harlow:grow more into who she really is.
Unknown:Right?
Kate Harlow:Wow! And then, and then for you as a Taurus, you're
Kate Harlow:just wondering about your you evolving into your rising sign,
Kate Harlow:and how that it has shifted your relationship, but also your
Kate Harlow:purpose. Like as you keep evolving more into your soul,
Kate Harlow:what does it look like to to rise more into a Taurus for you?
Amrit:Into Taurus in the Western, because I always keep
Amrit:my Vedic in the back of my head too when I'm reading both, and I
Amrit:always keep my Western in the back of my head when I'm reading
Amrit:my Vedic. The Taurus to me tells me to slow down. The Taurus to
Amrit:me tells me to slow down. Yeah, which yeah, it's and also
Amrit:everything happens in its own time. Everything's happening in
Amrit:its own time, which is good because the Virgo likes to
Amrit:analyze and go, "Okay, we could do this. And Virgos are very
Amrit:good engineers because they love fixing things. Yeah, so good
Amrit:Mister fix it. But then Taurus can come in and just remind.
Amrit:Just because you're holding a hammer doesn't mean you have to
Amrit:bang down every nail, mate. You know, like it's just just relax.
Amrit:Yeah. So it's it's that typical thing. Like if you leave your,
Amrit:you know, the mind didn't have a problem, so just went looking
Amrit:for problems. You know, to solve because the mind is such a great
Amrit:problem solver. Yeah. And so understanding that awareness of
Amrit:Taurus and going, okay, this is potentially the shape of my
Amrit:soul. And so, what does it mean to be Taurus? It means to be
Amrit:slow, steady, dependable, reliant. Yeah, to know what to
Amrit:value, to know what's not to value. It gave me. This is going
Amrit:to sound vain, but it gave me permission to like nice things a
Amrit:little bit, I mean, I like nice things, not to the point of like
Amrit:overly attached to them, but I do like texturally how they
Amrit:feel. Yeah, like I'm a sucker for good texture. Yeah, and
Amrit:again, Cancerians and Tauruses have that. Now I could deny that
Amrit:part of me, but Taurus gives me permission to just hang out with
Amrit:it and just be like, no, you like the feeling of you know,
Amrit:like I mean, stuff like this. I find cool to just stare at. Like
Amrit:I don't know, it's just got anyway. It's a crystal. If
Amrit:you're listening, and it gives me permission to be more me.
Kate Harlow:Yes,
Amrit:and also like so many other things. Like as I grow,
Amrit:like I understand my challenge. You want to go there, Taurus
Amrit:rising. One of the shadows of Taurus that I don't think too
Amrit:many people pick up on is Taurus can be bad with boundaries,
Amrit:right? Taurus can be bad with boundaries, and people go, "It's
Amrit:Earth. We shouldn't be bad with boundaries. And like, but it is.
Amrit:I know it. Taurus rising. Touch wood. What is the issue with
Amrit:Taurus rising's boundaries? Taurus can easily put a boundary
Amrit:up, but enforcing a boundary sometimes it falls over. Yeah,
Amrit:Taurians are really good at saying enough's enough, enough.
Amrit:We're not doing this anymore. And the very next day, the same
Amrit:person comes over and goes, "mr. Taurus, and Taurus goes, "Yeah,
Amrit:let me just get the kettle, just a sec. And it's like, "Wait,
Amrit:what just happened? And usually, after the fact, the person will
Amrit:leave, and then Taurus will beat itself up for being crap at
Amrit:boundaries, because it knew not to do that. And I say to my
Amrit:Taurian clients, you don't get to have your cake and eat it
Amrit:too, even though this is both ways negative. Part of me,
Amrit:because what's happened is Taurus. I mean, Taurus is the
Amrit:heart of the Earth. It's fixed Earth. It's double Earth. Yeah,
Amrit:Taurus, fixed Earth. Think about how we treat Mother Earth. Just
Amrit:think about how we treat Mother Earth and how she continues to
Amrit:love us back. Taurus is fixed Earth. Taurus is the heart of
Amrit:the Earth. That's like Mother Earth vibes, yeah. We're lucky,
Amrit:Mother Earth isn't tied on boundaries, yeah. And so there's
Amrit:a benevolence about it. There's a compassion that the earth
Amrit:carries. Now that's benevolence. That's benevolent. That
Amrit:compassion, yeah. And so now next time, Taurus, you know,
Amrit:basically someone comes up to a Taurus and goes, "Hey, I need to
Amrit:talk to you about that thing you drew up a boundary around
Amrit:yesterday and said you didn't want to talk to me about. And
Amrit:Taurus can subconsciously, I imagine, feel that this person
Amrit:doesn't is not as stable as I am. How could you be? The person
Amrit:is the heart of the earth. Earth is stability. Fire is passion,
Amrit:yeah. Air is intellect, water is emotion. They can't find a more
Amrit:stable sign, so people need that stability. They come to Taurus,
Amrit:yeah. And so now Taurus is like, let them in, and let them in
Amrit:because of his benevolence, and gone. Hey, like it's okay. Like
Amrit:I know you're going through a lot. I can. I've got stability
Amrit:in spades. Come hacking, and then they leave, and then
Amrit:Taurus's shadow. One of its shadows is self worth, and so
Amrit:now all of a sudden you're going to beat yourself up as well, and
Amrit:continue perpetuating your negative self worth. Like that's
Amrit:not cool. You don't get to have it both ways. Either uphold your
Amrit:boundaries. That's the best. But if you're going to let them in,
Amrit:then also celebrate your benevolence, bro. Celebrate your
Amrit:benevolence. Yeah. Well done. You get the boundary thing right
Amrit:next time.
Kate Harlow:Yeah. Beautiful.
Amrit:I mean, that's a shadow of Taurus, and that's just
Amrit:one-the self worth stuff. The going slow to go fast, going too
Amrit:slow, understanding what to value, what not to value.
Amrit:Discernment lives with Taurus and Virgo, but Taurus, there's
Amrit:so many things, so many things, so many things, and it's fun to
Amrit:read. It's and it's written right there in the chart. It's
Amrit:written right there in the chart. He's just like you look
Amrit:at the chart. Anyway, I love reading charts, so part of me, I
Amrit:get a bit carried away when it comes to charts. It's like, but
Amrit:it is the perfect tool for a little old Amrit because I have
Amrit:to say I was an engineer, yeah, and my left brain logic as an
Amrit:engineer loves a good chart. And then I've been, you know,
Amrit:spiritual podcasting, and it's just the spirituality side of
Amrit:astrology is-it's the perfect blend between left and right
Amrit:brain in terms of a spiritual support device. It's incredible.
Amrit:It's absolutely incredible as a spiritual tool.
Kate Harlow:You're like a soul engineer now, and and a life
Kate Harlow:engineer. Like unlike the spiritual
Unknown:engineer.
Kate Harlow:Yeah, it's like spiritual soul and life path,
Kate Harlow:right? And understanding life. And I just, I mean, gosh, we
Kate Harlow:could geek out on this stuff all day, but I just I feel this is
Kate Harlow:it's essential to understand. I the and I love that your your
Kate Harlow:first reading starts with because obviously people can
Kate Harlow:have many different types of reading with you if they want to
Kate Harlow:understand their partner more, which we've talked a lot about
Kate Harlow:today. I feel like is
Amrit:is this industry a
Kate Harlow:great reading to have to understand you them have
Kate Harlow:them both on there so they can deeply understand each other and
Kate Harlow:how much love and harmony that will bring into a relationship
Kate Harlow:to have deep understanding I think that's everything and
Kate Harlow:before having before having an astrology reading about your
Kate Harlow:partner like going deep into yourself first I think is
Kate Harlow:essential so to have the the the trifecta of the sun, the moon,
Kate Harlow:the rising, so that you have a deep understanding for you and
Kate Harlow:your own blueprint, and to get a feel for it. And I just think,
Kate Harlow:yeah, having a reading with Amrit is everything because you
Kate Harlow:the way that you light up and see people is so special, and I
Kate Harlow:just feel like if any for for anyone who's feeling lost, or I
Kate Harlow:always hear women say, "I want to find myself, or "I got to
Kate Harlow:find my partner, "I got to find my purpose. Find, find, find.
Kate Harlow:Even you were saying your wife had to go find herself, but it's
Kate Harlow:often like looking at. I mean, I think she did a great job going
Kate Harlow:and listening to her soul, but it's like you don't have to find
Kate Harlow:anything. Come home to yourself, and that's what astrology does.
Kate Harlow:Is like, and then you go out into the world from that place
Kate Harlow:of of really knowing what's inside of you and understanding.
Kate Harlow:If you're stuck in the shadow, and you're stuck in anxiety, or
Kate Harlow:you're stuck in depression, or you're stuck in fear, it's
Kate Harlow:because of the shadow of your chart. So to understand that
Kate Harlow:gives you so much grace and space to be able to make changes
Kate Harlow:and to be able to have compassion and understanding for
Kate Harlow:your journey. It's so profound. So, if if a woman is ready for a
Kate Harlow:reading with you, what tell us about what that looks like?
Amrit:Yeah, I mean the easiest place is to venture over to
Amrit:amritsandhu.com forward slash reading, and it'll take you to a
Amrit:link to submit your birth details, and a little bit around
Amrit:you know what touched you that made you want to get a reading
Amrit:at this time. Yeah, obviously Kate's endorsed the reading
Amrit:really well, which I really really appreciate. But also,
Amrit:there's something within you that thought that this was
Amrit:important and would be cool at this point in time. Is it what's
Amrit:coming up next, or do you feel like you're stuck in something,
Amrit:or there's something you want to know more about? Just a short
Amrit:couple of lines in there really really helps. And then, yeah,
Amrit:the first reading is pretty standardized. To your point, but
Amrit:obviously, I chip and choose sometimes depending on how it's
Amrit:going and what you write is required in that little section
Amrit:there. But then also, people do use the astrology readings now
Amrit:as astrological consultations as well, because I've been a life
Amrit:coach for the better part of a decade now since the podcast has
Amrit:been around, and so now some people are just like, oh, well,
Amrit:I've had my reading, or you know, but I still want to
Amrit:continue these conversations based on you know what's next,
Amrit:and they're just booking in readings to continue. The chart
Amrit:holds the depth and the space and the awareness, and we can
Amrit:consult it. But then we're doing like coachingy astrologically
Amrit:informed. Coachingy, mentory kind of conversations as well. I
Amrit:call them astrological consultations because that's
Amrit:ultimately what they are. So those are available as well.
Amrit:They're one and the same thing, but usually it's good to start
Amrit:off with a reading that gets you really square, and then we can
Amrit:even build a roadmap of what you'd like to learn about
Amrit:yourself. Because to the point earlier, sun, moon, and rising
Amrit:is just the very beginning. There is so much in your chart,
Amrit:and to the point as well, very hard to cover in one single
Amrit:reading. Yes, but you know that's also why partially I'm
Amrit:here, right? Touchwood is to have a look at what are the most
Amrit:pertinent bits that you need to know as well, right? Because
Amrit:there's a lot in your chart to get lost in. It's infinitely
Amrit:deep, touchwood. But given where you are, what you need support
Amrit:with, at what time specifically to the yeah? That's yeah here to
Amrit:help touch with here to help. I
Kate Harlow:want to say like get in now while you can. Like
Kate Harlow:Emirate has a massive podcast, and I imagine you are not going
Kate Harlow:to be available for actual personal coaching and personal
Kate Harlow:astrology readings forever. So I feel like get in now, and I
Kate Harlow:think you know so many women I've worked with over the last,
Kate Harlow:especially I'd say three years, it's kind of always been the
Kate Harlow:case. Like once you they come to me for love, but then they start
Kate Harlow:to get to know their own soul and purpose is the next top of
Kate Harlow:mind problem. Is they really want to live a life that's
Kate Harlow:aligned with purpose and feeling like they have more meaning and
Kate Harlow:they're doing work in the world that feels aligned and alive,
Kate Harlow:and so I feel if you are at a precipice in your life where you
Kate Harlow:are ready for more deepening, more depth in love, more depth
Kate Harlow:and purpose, more depth in your connection to your spirituality,
Kate Harlow:this is this is the man for you to be able to help you. I I
Kate Harlow:think what a powerful tool to be able to do coaching and like
Kate Harlow:coaching in their life, but also connected to aligning with the
Kate Harlow:soul blueprint and with the astrology is like what a gift.
Amrit:Thank you so much. It's an absolute blessing and an
Amrit:honor to be of service. To be honest, and thank you so much
Amrit:again, Kate, for having me here today. It's um, yeah, yeah. It's
Amrit:it's yeah. It I just don't have the words to be able to
Amrit:articulate. I guess ultimately, which is tall praise as a
Amrit:podcaster, right? Yeah, just to be able to share the things that
Amrit:matter to you and to be received. Like I said earlier,
Amrit:as a full-on prayer there, touchwood for people because
Amrit:it's it's really great medicine, and I think that was what was
Amrit:underlying the inspired evolution as well. The whole way
Amrit:is for me to basically be inspired to evolve, and you know
Amrit:evolve into the things that inspired me. And if I could do
Amrit:it, you can do it. Yeah, when it comes to purpose, I always
Amrit:considered myself as the dead weight. I was last in line. I
Amrit:was just trying my best not to keep everybody else held up.
Amrit:Yeah, we are going through shifts. Times are shifting. I'm
Amrit:doing my little bit. Know you got yours. I know you know you
Amrit:got yours. Yeah, really inspired to evolve together with
Amrit:everybody. Thank you so much for this opportunity, Kate. Really,
Amrit:really, really appreciate you
Kate Harlow:so much for coming. And before you go, I will link
Kate Harlow:everything, of course, below this episode. But I would love
Kate Harlow:to hear a little bit. I know you also have a membership community
Kate Harlow:as well. I'd love to hear a little bit about share a little
Kate Harlow:bit about that. So, because so there's astrology readings,
Kate Harlow:there's ongoing coaching to deepen into aligning with your
Kate Harlow:soul blueprint, and then there's this community that you started.
Kate Harlow:So tell us about that.
Amrit:Yeah, the community is it's it's called the Circle by
Amrit:design. We're moving into a very Aquarian era ahead of us. I know
Amrit:that's I can hear my wife going, "Stop the Astro speak, but
Amrit:community matters. Community matters to Aquarians. Yeah, it
Amrit:really does, and so community is going to matter more and more.
Amrit:Noticing many more people are starting to feel more and more
Amrit:isolated at a time like this as well. It's okay. Like we decided
Amrit:to provide a space online. We felt it was incumbent upon us,
Amrit:and now we are trying to take some of those online experiences
Amrit:and turn them into in-person experiences as well, so people
Amrit:can start to connect deeper. What I find myself saying is, if
Amrit:you enjoy the content of our podcast, this is the space to
Amrit:make like turn that that content into connection. Once a month,
Amrit:podcast guests come on, and I step out of the way, and the
Amrit:audience members get to ask their own questions of the
Amrit:guests. I just step back, say g'day to the guest, and now the
Amrit:audience is basically having an audience-led podcast with the
Amrit:guest. Really cool seeing the questions that the audience
Amrit:asks, even if I can say so myself. So that's happening
Amrit:inside the community. Once a week we gather for Sunday
Amrit:service. I guide meditations just because hang up from
Amrit:yesteryear. I was a meditation teacher for a long while there
Amrit:because of well now you guys know why. And then we also do
Amrit:community deep dives and sharings. Sometimes there's
Amrit:breath work, sometimes a little bit of Yin yoga stuff like this.
Amrit:But yeah, Sunday service is always a bit of a jam as well.
Amrit:There's daily contemplations. But I will say the circle is an
Amrit:ever-evolving place. It's by the community for the community, and
Amrit:so ideas are always pouring in from the community. We're
Amrit:vetting them, how easily we can implement them and apply them,
Amrit:and I think it it messes with my Virgo sensibilities a lot to
Amrit:offer a community offering because I like structure and
Amrit:organize. It needs to be perfect before we launch, and this has
Amrit:been a great lesson for me to learn that as we're doing it,
Amrit:we're doing it together in the presence of communities. Leaders
Amrit:are stepping up from within the community that I didn't even
Amrit:know were leaders. I never met them before, and it's just a
Amrit:really cool experiment on community and what can happen.
Amrit:The current frontier that we're on, I think, what's coming next
Amrit:is looking at the different seasonalities of the year, not
Amrit:just looking at the stars, but also looking at the
Amrit:seasonalities of the year, and seeing if we can encourage a way
Amrit:that the community can start to learn the different seasons of
Amrit:the year and learn to live in a bit more alignment. When it's
Amrit:winter, we should hibernate. Yeah, so we're looking at things
Amrit:like this. There's lots of cool ideas brewing in the space for
Amrit:community. It is less than a year young, and it's incredible
Amrit:seeing the different 500 different people that are in
Amrit:there and growing. It's yeah, everyone brings something cool.
Amrit:So yeah, I'm just in awe again of Age of Aquarius. We're doing
Amrit:stuff. It's community is like matters to it so much, and just
Amrit:seeing the type of people that come together. There's so many
Amrit:more of us than we think, and I think a lot of us are actually
Amrit:struggling, feeling like we're all alone. People are waking up
Amrit:to extrasensory abilities. People are waking up to all
Amrit:sorts of things. Yeah, times are challenging. So yeah, you get
Amrit:astrological updates every now and then on Sunday service from
Amrit:me as well. If you're in the community, but yeah, it's
Amrit:consistently evolving as community should be, as
Amrit:community should be
Kate Harlow:exactly. And it sounds sounds like your Mandela
Kate Harlow:evenings too, in another format. Yeah, yeah. Well, the the
Kate Harlow:community was
Amrit:birthed from the podcast, so I think those roots will be
Amrit:through everything. Yeah, yeah,
Kate Harlow:love it! Wow, so amazing! Thank you so much, you
Kate Harlow:beautiful soul. What an amazing, expansive conversation! And I
Kate Harlow:feel like you know our intention for this episode was around love
Kate Harlow:and relationships, but it's like love of life, spirituality,
Kate Harlow:purpose, relationship. Like they're they're not separate;
Kate Harlow:they're all interconnected, and and there is a roadmap. There's
Kate Harlow:a blueprint. There is so much support, both in mentors and
Kate Harlow:guides like yourself, and in in these systems that have been
Kate Harlow:that have been around since the beginning of time. These ancient
Kate Harlow:systems that help us understand what is possible for us here? So
Kate Harlow:thank you for being an extraordinary model of that with
Kate Harlow:your life, sharing your story, and how different your life is
Kate Harlow:now to what it was when you were in that out of alignment before
Kate Harlow:your Saturn return, out of alignment place where so many
Kate Harlow:people are still, and and thank you for modeling what's
Kate Harlow:possible, and I'm just highly recommend that everyone book a
Kate Harlow:reading with you. It is such an extraordinary experience. Get in
Kate Harlow:while you can, and of course check out Inspired Evolution.
Kate Harlow:It's my favorite podcast. Thank you. I'm so freaking honored
Kate Harlow:that you're here and to know you, and just really excited for
Kate Harlow:everything to come. Who knows where we're at? Can I can I
Amrit:just add in there? It's it is um thank you so much for
Amrit:your love. It also just to reflect some back to you.
Amrit:There's a lot to be said. You've sent quite a few people our way
Amrit:already for me to do readings for, and it speaks volumes to
Amrit:who you are, even though we've just met in some ways, just
Amrit:watching not just the love and reverence that your tribe have
Amrit:for you, and there's not this like pedestaling reverence.
Amrit:There's just this real camaraderie reverence that they
Amrit:have with you. Some of them are even rocking in with their with
Amrit:their goddess names in their Zoom calls into their readings,
Amrit:but also but also just the the incredible the incredible people
Amrit:that they are and reading their charts for them has been an
Amrit:absolute gift and an honor. So thank you so much. I see so much
Amrit:love that they have for you and also just the incredible work
Amrit:that you are doing, helping the incredible people that you're
Amrit:helping. A real honor to be here today. Thank you all that are
Amrit:listening in for your attention and presence here today. And
Amrit:Kate, my God, thank you so much, Sister Bear.
Kate Harlow:Thank you. Lots of love, and as always, spread the
Kate Harlow:episode to everyone who you know needs a little soul realignment,
Kate Harlow:and we'll see you soon.
