What if the life you’ve been trying so hard to manifest isn’t actually the life your soul wants for you?
Kate welcomes soul advisor and manifestation teacher Leah Brathwaite back to The New Truth for a conversation about creating a life that feels as good as it looks.
Together, they explore the difference between manifesting from fear, conditioning and control versus allowing your soul and intuition to lead. Leah shares how building the picture-perfect life ultimately left her disconnected from herself, and what changed when she stopped forcing outcomes and began trusting what felt true.
They also unpack surrender, detachment and why embodying the feelings behind your desires may be more powerful than chasing the external result.
This conversation is an invitation to release the script, trust yourself more deeply and leave room for life to surprise you.
In This Episode We Explore:
- Manifesting from your survival self versus your soul
- Why getting what you want may still leave you unfulfilled
- How to recognize the way your intuition speaks to you
- The connection between control, attachment and lack
- Why the feelings beneath your desires matter
- Becoming an energetic match for what you want
- Letting go of old identities as you expand
- Allowing life to unfold beyond what you planned
Your Practice for This Week:
Notice where you’re trying to force or control an outcome.
Ask yourself what you believe having it will allow you to feel, then find one way to embody more of that feeling now.
Pay attention to the quiet yeses, noes and nudges that follow. Choose one and trust yourself enough to act on it.

When I say manifestation, and that's what I teach, it's coming from a
Speaker:soul-led place where you are on that highest
Speaker:frequency and most authentic aspect of yourself. And
Speaker:that is aligning you with all of the deep desires of your heart. So the
Speaker:big love, the income that feels spacious
Speaker:and supportive, the freedom that you desire, all of those things
Speaker:live on a high-level frequency. And you can't
Speaker:create them from that survival self if you're continuing to
Speaker:force and push and hustle. Like, your soul, has a bigger plan than you can
Speaker:ever imagine. It is limitless. It is infinite. It's connected to your purpose
Speaker:and to the universe and to all of the magic that is meant for you
Speaker:here. And unless you tap into it, you are going to be fighting through
Speaker:life. You're going to be controlling things. You're going to try to manipulate your way
Speaker:to what you feel is probably meant for you, but there's just a bit of
Speaker:distortion in how we're going about it.
Speaker:Hello, beautiful. Welcome back to the New Truth
Speaker:Podcast. Hi, Leah. Hello,
Speaker:Kate. So excited to have you back. on The New Truth.
Speaker:So for those of you who've been following my travel journeys the last
Speaker:couple of months, Leah is my bestie who I was
Speaker:visiting in Malibu, California a few weeks ago. I don't
Speaker:think I recorded a podcast from there, but I've definitely, pretty sure I
Speaker:definitely spoke of our time together on one of the episodes. So,
Speaker:um, it was magical. It was so good to have you here. And you, oh
Speaker:yeah, that was so magical. And oh, I definitely talked about it 'cause I remember
Speaker:sharing that I had no idea I was gonna see you. I was going, even
Speaker:going to California and You were, and Leah is
Speaker:a manifestation teacher and a spiritual teacher and a soul advisor.
Speaker:And she was leading a 40 days of devotion. Um, you can chat
Speaker:more, you can talk more about that, but I was there witnessing it and you
Speaker:were teaching about manifestation and we're sitting there like, we
Speaker:didn't even know that this was happening. Oh, we manifested this. Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
Speaker:Exactly. So I'm so happy to have you back. I think this is your
Speaker:third time on The New Truth, maybe fourth. Yeah, I think it's the
Speaker:third. If I'm not mistaken, I think it's 3rd.
Speaker:Yeah. Yeah. So excited to dive in and
Speaker:explore all this conversation about manifestation because, uh,
Speaker:the New Truth diehard listeners know that I have, and you
Speaker:also know that I have funny feelings about how most people teach and
Speaker:utilize, uh, use the word manifestation. And it feels, and this
Speaker:is actually perfect timing because last week I did an episode about letting go of
Speaker:control or the illusion of controlling your life. And so I think a
Speaker:lot of people are manifesting from control, but I love how you teach
Speaker:manifestation and it feels really aligned with the, the
Speaker:essence of what I believe is our co-creation
Speaker:with life. So, and I know you have a big masterclass tomorrow
Speaker:happening, so we'll talk about that too. Yeah. But this conversation about how
Speaker:to, how to actually create a life that feels as
Speaker:good as it looks, because so many people have even
Speaker:manifested quote unquote Their dream life, but like don't even
Speaker:feel good inside of it. Totally, totally, totally. I love that you
Speaker:mentioned also like at the outset, like the relationship that
Speaker:you have with the word manifestation, because I have that same relationship with it.
Speaker:And I'm like, ah, do I really want to be known as like a
Speaker:manifestation teacher when there tends to be
Speaker:a whole context around it that is sometimes misunderstood?
Speaker:So I think that's first and foremost the thing that I would like to kind
Speaker:of set the record straight about is like, what that word
Speaker:actually even means and like how we are constantly
Speaker:always manifesting. Like, it is the most natural state of our being. We
Speaker:are created as creators in the image of the Creator.
Speaker:Whatever that means to you, whether you use the God language or Source or
Speaker:Spirit or Universe or Divine Presence, however you want to
Speaker:speak it, we are constantly translating energy
Speaker:into form. I already have goosebumps. How do you say that? Oh,
Speaker:right off the jump. For like the whole time you've been
Speaker:talking, I'm like, this is it. We are. That was such a, so
Speaker:beautifully stated. Oh my gosh. Okay, carry on. So
Speaker:I think manifestation in the
Speaker:context of like people who kind of roll their eyes at it, they think it's
Speaker:like this magical fairy tale thing where you literally just sit on your couch and
Speaker:you're like, I asked the universe to drop thousands of dollars or the man of
Speaker:my dreams into my lap and you do nothing about it. That is
Speaker:not how I teach it. That is not how I experience it.
Speaker:That is not, um, I think it's sometimes an
Speaker:oversimplified explanation of what it truly is.
Speaker:But I think at the outset, it's so important to know that
Speaker:we are constantly creating in our lives. Like, we are
Speaker:constantly, we ourselves are a manifestation. Like, the
Speaker:very first manifestation of our being on this planet is our body. It's the
Speaker:thing that our energetic self, our soul, our
Speaker:pure essence has formed so that we can
Speaker:maneuver in this 3D reality and play the
Speaker:game of creation, have the experience of the
Speaker:full range of the 3D world, the highs, the lows,
Speaker:all of it. So I see
Speaker:manifestation really as just a natural
Speaker:process that is Constantly happening. I think there's different
Speaker:ways to do it. There's consciously or unconsciously.
Speaker:I think the majority of us, until we know that there's a different way to
Speaker:do it, are manifesting unconsciously. We're manifesting through
Speaker:our programming, our conditioning, the things that we learned, our fears,
Speaker:our limiting beliefs. But there's another way to
Speaker:do it. And that comes back to that conversation around a life
Speaker:that feels as good as it looks, because a lot of the women that come
Speaker:into my world, they are high achievers. Same with you. Yeah.
Speaker:They know how to get shit done. They've got, like, careers that they've maybe worked
Speaker:really hard for. Or maybe they do have a relationship,
Speaker:and they've created things in their lives, but they're like, this
Speaker:isn't exactly what I thought it was going to be, or this doesn't feel the
Speaker:way I want it to, or this job, this career that I've worked so hard
Speaker:for is actually sucking the life out of me, or this relationship
Speaker:that I'm, like, fighting for is draining me constantly.
Speaker:So it might look good, on the 'gram to be able to post like some
Speaker:of those external metrics that manifestation is known for, like the money, the
Speaker:house, the car, the— everybody's got like the G-Wagon and the Chanel purse on their
Speaker:vision board. The handsome husband. Yeah, exactly. Like all of
Speaker:those external metrics that we
Speaker:think that we need to do more and work harder for versus
Speaker:how that actually feels to have it. I have been one of those women
Speaker:who had everything on paper that looked perfect, and inside
Speaker:I was like, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and even physically
Speaker:bankrupt because I didn't realize that I was manifesting
Speaker:from that unconscious part, or what I call my survival self, the one
Speaker:that was like built to survive life through like
Speaker:people pleasing and perfectionism and like achievement and pushing and
Speaker:forcing and controlling, versus when I
Speaker:learned how to realign to my truth, to my soul, and
Speaker:I let my soul lead the way, that is when I started to have—
Speaker:even more epic manifestations, but they felt almost effortless. They were
Speaker:like just a natural progression of the way life was evolving, kind of like
Speaker:the way you ended up in California and like coming to, to visit us in
Speaker:Malibu was like, we could have planned and forced and tried to like arrange our
Speaker:schedules and like done this really strict itinerary for you to make it
Speaker:happen versus it just happening
Speaker:organically and naturally and being a really beautiful experience for both of us. So
Speaker:that's what I mean. When I say manifestation, and
Speaker:that's what I teach, it's coming from a soul-led place where
Speaker:you are on that highest frequency and most
Speaker:authentic aspect of yourself, and that is aligning you
Speaker:with all of the deep desires of your heart. So the big love,
Speaker:the income that feels spacious and
Speaker:supportive, the freedom that you desire, all of those things
Speaker:live on a high-level frequency, and You
Speaker:can't create them from that survival self if you're continuing
Speaker:to force and push and hustle. Like, your soul has a
Speaker:bigger plan than you can ever imagine. It is limitless. It is
Speaker:infinite. It's connected to your purpose and to the universe and to all of the
Speaker:magic that is meant for you here. And unless you tap into it,
Speaker:you are going to be fighting through life. You're going to be controlling things. You're
Speaker:going to try to manipulate your way to what you feel is
Speaker:probably meant for you. But there's just a bit of distortion,
Speaker:um, in how we are going about it. So. Yeah, I was
Speaker:thinking like, as you're talking, when, when I was in my
Speaker:20s and I was like really in my scripted self-survival,
Speaker:self-saboteur patterns, I was trying to
Speaker:create the life that everyone else was creating at the time. All my friends were
Speaker:getting married. There was 11 weddings in like the span of 2 or 3
Speaker:years. I was a bride, no, I was a bridesmaid 11 times. There was probably
Speaker:more than 11 weddings. Wow. But they were all getting married. They were all
Speaker:buying houses. is they were all staying in North Vancouver, which is wild. I'm in
Speaker:North Vancouver right now and like, I wanna throw up everywhere imagining
Speaker:living here and having not left. And, you know, I remember at
Speaker:the time, like I made vision boards and I was trying to manifest the life
Speaker:that they all had. But until we know our own soul,
Speaker:mm-hmm, which obviously we'll talk so much about today, until we get
Speaker:to know our own soul, like you, you don't know the life. I didn't, I
Speaker:wasn't like manifest living in Africa. Like
Speaker:what? You would've been like, ew, no, that's weird. Why would I?
Speaker:Exactly. Not remotely. Like my mind would've pushed that
Speaker:away. Yeah. So it, it, like, we think we know what we
Speaker:want. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. But, but there's so much we're meant
Speaker:to experience that. Yeah. So what do you have to say about that in terms
Speaker:of manifesting? And yeah. 'Cause I was that girl in my 20s. Yes. I was
Speaker:like, okay, this is, how do you be happy? Well, everybody says you
Speaker:go to school, you get a good job. and then you get married and then
Speaker:you buy a house and then you have babies. And that's like the script. Like,
Speaker:yeah, this is what you're talking about. That's the program. We do the same thing.
Speaker:We work at the same job for 30 years and then maybe in the last
Speaker:like back end of our life, we may be able to get to enjoy some
Speaker:of our freedoms if we've done everything right and we followed all the rules and
Speaker:we like did the right thing. So I'm very— But that's
Speaker:when you have health issues, so you don't get to enjoy it. Exactly. So you're
Speaker:like, you just hope, knock on wood, that you, you're still in good shape
Speaker:back by then. Um, but I had that same
Speaker:script handed to me. And on top of that, I had a huge
Speaker:religious indoctrination programming about being a good person and what it meant
Speaker:to want things and to what it meant to be a good person and what
Speaker:you were supposed to quote unquote do so that you could live
Speaker:forever and, and all of that sort of stuff. So I was
Speaker:very much one of those people that
Speaker:had this very strong desire to be a good girl. Like
Speaker:I wanted to be accepted. I wanted to be right. I wanted
Speaker:to be good. I wanted to feel
Speaker:like I was belonging and appreciated and that I was doing a good job.
Speaker:So I took that and was like, okay,
Speaker:let's fricking go. And I was like, I'm gonna be the best in church. I'm
Speaker:gonna be the best in school. I'm gonna be the best, la la la la
Speaker:la. And so by 21, was it
Speaker:21 or 23? In my early 20s, like 21 or
Speaker:23, I had gotten engaged. I had bought my first house. I had
Speaker:bought my car. I had gotten the job. I had completed all of these things.
Speaker:I was checking all of these boxes and I was like, I'm doing it.
Speaker:I'm the good girl. Crushing it. I'm crushing it. I'm like, oh, look at that.
Speaker:I'm like the first one married. I'm the first one buying a house. Look at
Speaker:all my other friends. Like I'm winning at life. And I had
Speaker:all the things that I was supposed to have. I'm like, husband, check. Houses, check.
Speaker:Cars, check. Dog, career, all of those things.
Speaker:And it was slowly killing me
Speaker:because like you said, until you know your soul, you don't actually know what you
Speaker:want. I thought I wanted all of those things. I thought I was supposed to
Speaker:have all of those things. And so I thought I was supposed want those things.
Speaker:And so I went after them, and I was a driven woman. I'm still
Speaker:a driven woman, but when you're driven by the wrong part of you, you
Speaker:will drive yourself into or off of a cliff. Like, I
Speaker:drove straight into a brick wall, and
Speaker:we had just completed the construction of our second
Speaker:home. We had a rental property with the other property, and I was
Speaker:standing in this dream kitchen that I had like— Forced and
Speaker:controlled and like picked everything out, like the fridge that I wanted,
Speaker:the grout color, like everything was controlled and like
Speaker:manifested to my specifications.
Speaker:And I was in the kitchen on a random Sunday putting away
Speaker:groceries, just opening the fridge door, and all of a sudden it
Speaker:came crashing in. It was like, not for another second. And I was like,
Speaker:excuse me? Like, what is happening here? Who's speaking?
Speaker:Not what for another second. And it was like, not This for another
Speaker:second. And I was like, what the hell is happening? Because I could see like
Speaker:these 2 parts of myself. It felt like an out-of-body
Speaker:experience, but a very deeply present experience at the same time. It was like I
Speaker:was watching myself. And that was like the voice of my soul
Speaker:waking up and being like, girl, wake up,
Speaker:not for another second. And as I'm looking around this perfect
Speaker:kitchen in this beautiful home, that was like the dream.
Speaker:I felt like nothing. I felt empty. I was like, how did I
Speaker:get here? Like, this doesn't feel like my life. This
Speaker:doesn't feel like any of it is mine, but
Speaker:I had made every single choice. Like, I got myself into this
Speaker:situation. Like, what is happening here? And
Speaker:that was like a moment of awakening where I had had many moments
Speaker:previous to that where I was given the opportunity, like, are you
Speaker:going to choose your truth? Or are you going to choose what you're supposed to
Speaker:do? Are you going to choose the should? Are Are you gonna choose making somebody
Speaker:else comfortable? Are you gonna choose what your parents want for you or what your
Speaker:church wants for you or what society wants for you? Or are you gonna choose
Speaker:yourself? And that was the very, one of the very first moments where I
Speaker:decided I'm gonna choose myself. And I'm like, okay, I'm
Speaker:listening. This is like messing with me so much that
Speaker:I'm like, I'm listening. Something is happening here. So when
Speaker:my now ex-husband at the time came into the kitchen
Speaker:and saw me kind of like having a moment with myself, like,
Speaker:looked a little discombobulated because I was like, something's happening. He's like, you okay?
Speaker:And instead of doing the thing that I always did, which was like, yeah, I'm
Speaker:fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I said, no, I'm not. I think there's
Speaker:something like wrong. I think I maybe need to see a therapist,
Speaker:but I don't think I'm okay. And just saying that, just admitting
Speaker:that I am not perfect, my life is not perfect, I'm trying to hold
Speaker:everything together and it's cracking inside, like I am deeply anxious,
Speaker:I'm battling depression, not even knowing that that was what was
Speaker:going on, 'cause I was so oblivious to my own internal
Speaker:world. I was so focused on the outside world, the perception
Speaker:of others, doing the right thing for what other people would judge as the right
Speaker:thing, that I had no idea how to really listen to myself. And so that
Speaker:first moment of listening to myself and then voicing that
Speaker:was truly life-changing. Like, it set in motion a series of
Speaker:events that catapulted me into a completely
Speaker:different timeline that helped to actually start manifesting from my
Speaker:soul and creating a life that has all those same things. Still
Speaker:have a new husband, have a new dog, have a new house, have a new
Speaker:career, all of those things, but they feel so deeply fulfilling.
Speaker:They feel so aligned. I feel present and alive
Speaker:and inspired by my life. And it's also
Speaker:100 times better than what I had hustled and grinded and like forced
Speaker:myself to create in the past. So, When I say,
Speaker:like, my core belief is that when you connect to the truest part of
Speaker:yourself, which is your soul in my language, and you set it free to
Speaker:guide your way, you let it lead you to the places like
Speaker:Africa that feel kind of crazy, or like to these decisions that are
Speaker:like, oh my God, this feels out of the
Speaker:ordinary almost. It will lead you to a life beyond your
Speaker:wildest dreams. But if you continue to stay in that prescriptive
Speaker:box of logic, there's only so much that your logical wee little
Speaker:human mind can conceive of. And it's like, A plus B equals
Speaker:C. It doesn't take into account that you have the entire backing of the
Speaker:universe energetically conspiring to support
Speaker:your energy. And when it's only limited to, like, what you can
Speaker:see or what you know or what you've been told you should want,
Speaker:you're missing out on, like, the grand spectrum of so much more of
Speaker:your life that is available to you. Yeah. Oh my gosh.
Speaker:And as you're talking, I'm like remembering all the moments that
Speaker:you sh— when we met in 2020 and you were talking about how,
Speaker:and then I was called to go to Thailand and I just like went to
Speaker:Thailand. And then I was, the voice told me like, go to Vancouver. And I
Speaker:was like, Vancouver, why Vancouver? So I packed up everything and I moved to
Speaker:Vancouver. And then like a week into living there, or however many, however many days
Speaker:into living there, you meet me and Kel— well, you knew Kelsey already, but
Speaker:met me. And then we instantly became besties. And then Andy,
Speaker:and then the, the, like all the thing, like all the aligned
Speaker:conscious, you know, relationships that then led you to that
Speaker:beautiful home that you had here in Vancouver. Yeah. And then that
Speaker:led you to like, and that led you to meeting Christina. And then we were
Speaker:in LA for your 40th birthday where you had a date with Brock, your husband.
Speaker:Like it was just like you kept following. You can't plan this stuff. Yeah.
Speaker:Like you can't plan it. You can't plan it. Yeah. And I think, I think
Speaker:you, you, because at the time, I was definitely connected to
Speaker:my soul and living for my soul as much as I could in my work
Speaker:and my practices in Vancouver. But I think that
Speaker:unconsciously, you really gave me permission to follow those weird
Speaker:feelings that were like, wait, why am I saying yes to this thing? Okay. And
Speaker:I'm just going over here. And I meant to move
Speaker:to Kenya. I felt that the second day being there. I went, and
Speaker:I didn't go there on purpose, didn't know I was going there, got called
Speaker:to go there on a retreat. Oh, wow. And I was the first or second
Speaker:day, like, oh my God, I think I wanna live here. And I didn't know
Speaker:that was actually gonna happen. And then when the moment came where it was like,
Speaker:you should move to Kenya, and it just was like, oh, okay. And it,
Speaker:I didn't even question it, you know? And it's like, okay, just trusting that. And
Speaker:yeah. And so, yeah, I think you really liberated me in a lot of ways
Speaker:just from witnessing how you were doing your journey. Thank you. And how you were
Speaker:like, nope, this place is wrong. Gotta move. Got like, you would, as soon as
Speaker:something was out of alignment, you'd, you'd shift. Yeah, I had
Speaker:like a very low tolerance at that point. Yes. But it was like small steps
Speaker:that built up to that. And it's not to say that it takes a long
Speaker:time, but if you don't know yourself, like how can you trust yourself?
Speaker:And if you don't know yourself, how do you know what you want? How do
Speaker:you know what a yes is? How do you know what a no is? So
Speaker:that's a lot of the work that I do with my clients. It's very similar
Speaker:to some of the things that you do with your clients of like getting them
Speaker:reconnected and attuned to what is that voice for
Speaker:you? Like how do you hear it? How do you feel it? Can you think
Speaker:of times where you've heard it you listened and something
Speaker:magical happened, or you've heard it and you didn't listen, and then you like
Speaker:had a world of hurt after it. Mm-hmm. Like, I can think back to
Speaker:so many moments where I had that same voice
Speaker:that was telling me to do something, and I was like, well, that's inconvenient, or
Speaker:that's kind of weird, or I feel afraid to do that, or it doesn't make
Speaker:any sense, I don't understand. And I didn't listen to it, only to
Speaker:find out that hindsight is 20/20, but sometimes hindsight really
Speaker:hurts your Like, it hurts when you're like, I knew that there was
Speaker:something not right, or I knew that this wasn't quite the right
Speaker:thing. And then you find out, like, time will
Speaker:prove your intuition or your soul correct. But the
Speaker:reason why I was able to listen to all of those
Speaker:things of like, okay, you're moving here, you're moving here, you're doing all these crazy
Speaker:things, you're driving across the country during COVID like, as provinces
Speaker:were shutting down, I'm like driving from Toronto to Vancouver to move there.
Speaker:And it made no sense, but— It, it,
Speaker:it just was such a knowing. It was such a truth. And that's like
Speaker:the level of power that we all have that has like
Speaker:such a strong resonant internal guidance system that is like,
Speaker:go here. And your intuition isn't going to explain like, so that
Speaker:eventually you're going to meet this girl Kate and you're going to like find your
Speaker:soul family in Vancouver and it's going to be the best 5 years of your
Speaker:life and you're going to have all these connections that are going to lead to
Speaker:this. It's just like, go here. And you have to be able to trust that
Speaker:in that unfolding, that as you're moving towards where you're being
Speaker:called, everything is organizing and orchestrating itself around you.
Speaker:Because there's going to be a global pandemic and you're going to need your soul
Speaker:family around you to go through the pandemic with.
Speaker:Um, so as you're talking, I just want to speak
Speaker:to not everyone has a voice. I'm sure you speak to this. So you have
Speaker:like, go here, do this. And so I don't have that. I just have
Speaker:yes and no feelings in my body. And it's interesting too, 'cause this will be
Speaker:on YouTube. We're just, we're just launching the YouTube channel soon. And so it,
Speaker:this will be up on YouTube, but for those of you that are listening on
Speaker:audio, it, you, every time, like, as you're talking about your scripted
Speaker:self, you're pointing to your head. And as you're talking about your soul, you're pointing
Speaker:to your body. So it's interesting, like psychosomatically. Yeah. We
Speaker:like your, for those who don't know how to listen to the
Speaker:compass, my experiences and everyone's different. And I think we all have like
Speaker:clairaudient, clairvoyant, clairsentient Sentient, whatever. But for me, it's like,
Speaker:it's a kinesthetic feeling in my body of like a yes. And
Speaker:almost immediately after, my mind's like, no, here's all the reasons why you shouldn't do
Speaker:that thing. Or it's a strong no. And my mind's like, here's all the reasons
Speaker:why you shouldn't do that thing. Yeah. Yeah. And I,
Speaker:I think that's a really important thing to talk about. I mean, it's one of
Speaker:the reasons why I actually love human design, um, because it, it
Speaker:lets you know that we're all Differentiated, meaning we're all different. We
Speaker:all have different ways of like listening to our inner
Speaker:authority or inner voice. So some people will have more of an
Speaker:audible sound, but we have like,
Speaker:without going too far off, because I can go into the whole spirituality and like
Speaker:the energetics of like our 10 bodies and how like we have these 10
Speaker:levels of being of our bodies, like the etheric, the spiritual, the
Speaker:mental, 3 of mental bodies. Like there's so much that
Speaker:That we do not physically see with our senses that we are
Speaker:constantly perceiving. And so the entirety of your soul is
Speaker:not just like limited to inside of your body, it's outside
Speaker:of your body. You have an auric field that extends like up to
Speaker:6 feet around you, and sometimes more, that is
Speaker:constantly energy that's interchanging with your
Speaker:environment, with like the people that you're around,
Speaker:with the field. And that is like
Speaker:the really subtle sensation that starts to pick up
Speaker:information. And then the stronger or the closer it gets, the more it filters into
Speaker:you being able to really sense and hear it. So for some people, like you
Speaker:said, it will be just like a knowing that doesn't make sense. You're just like,
Speaker:I know that this is the right thing to do. For other people, like I
Speaker:have both like audience vision and like
Speaker:sentience. Like I feel it in my body. I sometimes hear and I
Speaker:can see. Um, imagery. I'll get flashes of
Speaker:scenes of things that I'm like, I don't know what this means. Like
Speaker:the story about my husband, like I, in a meditation, I just saw this
Speaker:image of who I thought was, um, John
Speaker:Legend. It was like an album cover of John Legend. And it's just like the
Speaker:silhouette, silhouette of his face. I can't remember the name of the album,
Speaker:but I saw that in my mind and I felt it in my
Speaker:body that that I was somehow married to this person. And I was
Speaker:like, am I gonna marry John Legend? I'm trying to like piece it together. And
Speaker:I'm like, how the hell am I gonna make that happen? Like, that's weird.
Speaker:Um, and then I think this was actually even a few years before I
Speaker:met Brock. And then years later, I find this guy,
Speaker:I look at his Instagram profile, he's got that exact same, like, it looks
Speaker:so identical to like that silhouette of John Legend.
Speaker:Like, from that very peripheral, if you squint a little bit, they kind of look
Speaker:like the same person. So I was like, oh, okay, that makes sense. So we
Speaker:all have different ways of seeing and hearing and feeling things, and that's part of
Speaker:the process of like learning yourself. How does your intuition speak to
Speaker:you? Does it feel like a knowing in your gut? Does it feel
Speaker:like something that you can hear? Does it feel like imagery that you
Speaker:see? Is it like a physical sensation, like you were saying?
Speaker:Learning how to differentiate those things and think back to moments where you had
Speaker:like just a weird moment where you're like, I just knew something. Yeah. something was
Speaker:going to happen, or I just sensed something, or I saw that,
Speaker:or I felt it. Look for those clues.
Speaker:And the more that you can get in touch with your inner world— this is
Speaker:why I love 40 Days of Devotion so much. It's because it brings you into
Speaker:a relationship with yourself so you can be in
Speaker:relationship and in observation and in connection with yourself
Speaker:for these 40 days that we do This Kundalini practice, and
Speaker:it lets you hear what is constantly being
Speaker:broadcast internally, but the outside world is just so loud,
Speaker:we don't often pay attention. Or our
Speaker:intuition is like, girl, you need to go this way, and you're like,
Speaker:no, I'm really committed to going this way because it looks better that way. It
Speaker:makes more sense. Like, I can see how that could eventually
Speaker:potentially work. But our minds are not predictive. They're really just
Speaker:a pattern and a programming that is running on just our history.
Speaker:So it's trying to project our history onto everything,
Speaker:imagining worst-case scenarios or imagining what can happen,
Speaker:but it's not an accurate predictive processor,
Speaker:whereas your soul, your intuition, your energetic field is constantly
Speaker:in communication, picking up on subtle things. So it's a better way
Speaker:of navigating than trying to do it through your mind. Yeah. And
Speaker:there's 2 things that are coming up as you say all that. One, that your
Speaker:mind is always going to like want the logical reason for something. And
Speaker:logic is like programming and how like
Speaker:usually the soul choices don't make any logical sense.
Speaker:How, how am I going to afford that? How am I going to make that
Speaker:happen? How do I legally live in Greece? How do I like, it's not
Speaker:going to make logical sense. So if you're trying to figure out a lot
Speaker:logically, like you're You're most likely gonna take yourself
Speaker:out. And then the other thing I wanna say is like the willingness to
Speaker:surrender all what you think you desire, right? Mm-hmm.
Speaker:And to like, to connect with perhaps the feelings that you imagine will
Speaker:come with those desires or that are attached to those desires. Because
Speaker:when I was in, uh, at the lake last week, it was so interesting. I
Speaker:had 3 people say to me, did you always know you didn't wanna have
Speaker:kids? 'Cause they just see me leading this unscripted life that's not
Speaker:like anyone else's. I live in Africa. I'm, you know, like they, they,
Speaker:I'm like a wild animal to them. They have no idea how I'm doing what
Speaker:I'm doing. Yeah. So they think like, oh, I'm one of those women that's like,
Speaker:I don't wanna have kids. Like I'm just gonna live my free life. And I,
Speaker:I look at them and I'm like, okay, I'm 45, but I'm like, I still
Speaker:don't, like what? I, I never made that. I still didn't make that decision. I'm
Speaker:like, I'm si— I'm living my life with my palms open and whatever I'm meant
Speaker:to experience, I'll experience. So it's so interesting that from the conditioned self. Yeah.
Speaker:People think like, oh, I have to figure it out. I have to make a
Speaker:choice. I have to do this or that. And yet when we're in
Speaker:soul, in my experience, it's like more of just hands open and like
Speaker:responding to the present moment and the yeses and nos in the present moment. And
Speaker:then life's leading us on this magical adventure that we don't even know how it
Speaker:looks or what. You might know the feelings you desire, but actually we don't
Speaker:know. So the willingness to like let go of everything you think you want. Yeah.
Speaker:Totally. And it doesn't mean you have to necessarily give up that
Speaker:desire, but there is like that openness that is so important and
Speaker:so hard. Like, I'm not pretending that this is easy,
Speaker:especially for like the Type A, high-achieving, like driven women
Speaker:that we are and that I know and that I work with.
Speaker:But there is something about being open to how it all unfolds.
Speaker:And one of the greatest examples that I have of this is like meeting
Speaker:my husband because I got
Speaker:Divorced in 2014, and I didn't meet him until
Speaker:2020, end of 2023. But I was like,
Speaker:where's my person? Like, it's so, like, my ex moved on very quickly and
Speaker:like was in relationships very soon after we
Speaker:split up. And I'm like, am I the problem? Is it me? Like, why, why,
Speaker:where's my person? Why can't I have that thing? But I say this
Speaker:time and again that you can't create a soul-level desire from a survival level.
Speaker:From a survival self place. So there has to be a rise in your
Speaker:consciousness. There has to be a rise in your identity and
Speaker:even in an understanding of what your desire actually is. So while I
Speaker:had relationships between now, between when I got divorced and when I
Speaker:met him, they were all teaching me all the places where I
Speaker:wasn't yet willing to let go and where I was really trying to control things.
Speaker:And it got to a point where I had gone on like a
Speaker:few dates with somebody and turn out to be like, I mean,
Speaker:I knew on the first date that this, I was like, this is a negatory.
Speaker:This is like a no. But I was like, but I mean, maybe I can
Speaker:take that red flag and like put in the washing machine and it'll turn out
Speaker:green or something. Uh, but after the third date, I was like, absolutely
Speaker:not. Which is so great because in the past I would've like waited
Speaker:not 3 dates, but like 3 months or 3 years. So we were making big
Speaker:progress and I made a decision. I was like, What I really
Speaker:want is this. I had the whole list. I knew exactly what I wanted,
Speaker:but I also knew like, I'm trying to control it. I'm
Speaker:like trying to go on apps. I'm trying to find my person. I'm trying to
Speaker:make this happen. I'm trying, trying, trying. And that trying energy
Speaker:is like your survival self being like, if I don't do it, it's not gonna
Speaker:get done. So I need to try harder. It's never gonna happen. Like the fear
Speaker:that it'll— you'll never get to have the thing. So you constantly try and control
Speaker:the thing, which actually is the thing that's stopping you from having the thing. Exactly.
Speaker:Yeah. So it's like when you are in that place of like
Speaker:desperation of needing something to happen, of wanting to make it happen in this
Speaker:particular way or in this like very limited timeline,
Speaker:that's when you are in control. You're trying to be in control,
Speaker:but what you're actually doing is like you're manifesting from that
Speaker:energy of control and that energy of lack. So you're really just creating more of
Speaker:the same thing. So it was in 40 Days of
Speaker:Devotion. I think actually what happened was I was doing like my
Speaker:own practice and it was like, I really wanna
Speaker:find my person and I realize I'm in control and I'm in lack around it
Speaker:because I'm noticing that he's not here and I'm trying to fill that thing. So
Speaker:I was like, I gotta let this go. And what came through was like, focus
Speaker:on your friendships and focus on your business. And I was like, okay.
Speaker:And that was very hard because I really wanted to find my
Speaker:person. But I was like, yeah. But I was like, you know, I'm
Speaker:gonna have to just like surrender because that's the thing that feels the
Speaker:most alive to let it go, to focus on my friendships, to focus on my
Speaker:business. So I launched 40 Days of Devotion, did it
Speaker:as a group experience. I dove even deeper into my friendships. I mean, my
Speaker:friendships were one of my main priorities, but I was like, even more so,
Speaker:I'm going to say yes to more things. I'm going to make that the priority.
Speaker:And so when our mutual friend Christina was like, come visit me in
Speaker:California, I was like, yes. The timing isn't great.
Speaker:There's so many reasons why I shouldn't. I'm doing this 40-day thing where I'm waking
Speaker:up at like 6:30 every day and leading people doing this live meditation, but I'm
Speaker:going to do it. So I was focusing on my business, I was focusing on
Speaker:my friendships, and it was through that that the most serendipitous,
Speaker:unplanned, like magical manifestation of this man
Speaker:came into my world that I could never have controlled. Here I
Speaker:was in Vancouver, like, where's my person? He needs to be in Vancouver. He needs
Speaker:to be location specific. I had all these like parameters around it.
Speaker:Turns out he lives in Malibu, California, and I'm gonna meet him in this magical
Speaker:way that lets me know the universe has my back, that lets me know that
Speaker:my soul is leading me. on this path. So if we are
Speaker:able to open our palms a little bit and say like, okay, I really
Speaker:want this thing over here, but the more I focus on the
Speaker:want of it or the lack of it or the fact that it's not here,
Speaker:the more I'm kind of pushing it away. So what else feels like alive
Speaker:and vibrant in my life? Where can I focus my energy that feels
Speaker:good, that I'm focusing on abundance, that I'm focusing on things that
Speaker:really light me up? And as you focus on those things, the universe is like,
Speaker:okay, we got your order, but you're the one that's trying to go back behind
Speaker:the kitchen and like cook it for yourself. Like, we're working on it.
Speaker:So you sit, enjoy, like,
Speaker:pretend you're at a restaurant. You've placed your order. The waiter's got it. He's taking
Speaker:it to the back. The chef is preparing it. You're enjoying your meal with your
Speaker:friends, and it will come around. But
Speaker:that's the hard part of like trusting
Speaker:ourselves, trusting our knowing, and trusting that there is something
Speaker:greater that is holding us in this experience of our lives. Yeah. That
Speaker:it's not just us muscling our way on this
Speaker:planet. There is so much more than
Speaker:what we're able to sense or see for ourselves, but it is
Speaker:always in support of the energy that we are putting into things.
Speaker:So that's why, like, in the manifestation rhetoric, it's
Speaker:like, be a match to what you desire.
Speaker:You can't create something of abundance if you're
Speaker:trying to create it from a place of lack or from a place of need
Speaker:or from a place of desperation. And if you do end up creating it, it
Speaker:doesn't last, or it's got this funky energy around it. It's like people that win
Speaker:the lottery and then can't keep the money. It's because your beliefs
Speaker:contradict what you desire. And so, because you're in your small
Speaker:self versus your soul. And as you're talking,
Speaker:I'm like, and telling your story, I'm like, didn't you say a year before
Speaker:meeting Brock that you like, maybe I'm gonna end up in California. Maybe I'm gonna
Speaker:live in California. You said something like that. Yeah. When I went to
Speaker:visit, um, Christina, it was me and Andy and Christine. We went for a walk
Speaker:and all of a sudden it was like, I just had this feeling.
Speaker:Yeah. And I was like, I think I'm gonna live here. Yes. And they're like,
Speaker:oh yeah, wouldn't that be so cool? Like we could just come and like, and
Speaker:then Andy and I were talking about like, well, maybe we can get like work
Speaker:visas because we're Canadian. We can't just like move to the States. So
Speaker:we were like, maybe what, like I could get like a work visa and I
Speaker:could just be here for like 6 months at a time. And logic starts
Speaker:to try to figure out how to make that happen. But my soul had a
Speaker:knowing of like, you're, this is going to be home for you. You're going to
Speaker:be living in Southern California. And I'm like, how the hell is that going to
Speaker:work? Because I have no real
Speaker:reason to move here. And most
Speaker:people would be like, Donald Trump's the president. How will you get a green card?
Speaker:You got a green card in like 5 minutes. It was like 3 months. So
Speaker:fast. Yeah, exactly. So, so it, because it was all
Speaker:soul alignment versus trying to control, and I'm just I was thinking like,
Speaker:okay, let's talk about wanting kids because I feel like so many women,
Speaker:that's— they try and manifest that and there's so much attachment
Speaker:and control. And yeah, maybe talk about that a little because
Speaker:that— it's like, I mean, it's, it's the same, it's the same
Speaker:answer for everything we desire. Yeah. But, um, for
Speaker:any women that are listening that are like, I know I want kids and like,
Speaker:what if I miss the window? What if I don't meet the person? What if
Speaker:I— like, all the fear that comes Well, I mean, this is
Speaker:just a fun fact that I love for myself 'cause I'm also in my 40s
Speaker:and I don't yet have children. But statistically,
Speaker:there are more women having children in their 40s now than there are
Speaker:teens having kids for the first time ever, like in history. So
Speaker:there is like, the timeline is a made-up
Speaker:construct. But what I would say to that
Speaker:is, I, I think it's important to
Speaker:understand why we want the things that we want. Like when I was married in
Speaker:my first life, I say, um, I was like, okay, well we have the houses.
Speaker:We've been married for like almost 7 years now. We need to start like thinking
Speaker:about kids. I wanna have kids. I need kids. Like that's the next thing on
Speaker:the list. We need to have kids. And thank,
Speaker:like, praise be that my partner, my husband at the time
Speaker:was like, you know, like originally that was the plan. We're gonna get married, we're
Speaker:gonna have kids. He all of a sudden was like, I don't think I want
Speaker:kids. And I And I was like, excuse me? And I was like, well, if
Speaker:I don't have kids, then what is the point? Like, who, like, who am I?
Speaker:So I very much had this identity attached
Speaker:to, it's the thing that you're supposed to do. You need to have children.
Speaker:Like, there's no other point to your life if you don't. And
Speaker:when we got divorced, I was like, ooh. At first I was like, okay, well,
Speaker:I need a person so that we can have kids. 'Cause I'm like, now in
Speaker:my, I, I'm 30 now, I feel Like, my window is closed.
Speaker:But what I've learned for myself is the reason that I
Speaker:want children is to have an experience
Speaker:where I can be like a good steward to them, where I can
Speaker:have myself tested so that I can grow, but I can also
Speaker:help usher in a conscious being
Speaker:that understands their power, that knows how to create, that can have a
Speaker:completely different experience of life because I've
Speaker:taken the time to learn myself and figure out how things work, and I can
Speaker:share that with them. Some of the things that I didn't necessarily get from my
Speaker:parents, who didn't know any better. So
Speaker:I think the reason why is an important thing to look at, but
Speaker:I also think that in anything in your life, whether
Speaker:it's your career or marriage
Speaker:or children or the place that you live in,
Speaker:if you are able to release the
Speaker:need from it— and this is like, there's steps to it. I know that it's
Speaker:very hard, especially when We've got biological, like, things
Speaker:happening within us that are like, I need this thing now. If you can
Speaker:move up the ladder and be
Speaker:in the embodiment of what that thing means to you, because we don't
Speaker:ever want the thing because we want the thing. You know what I mean? Like,
Speaker:you don't want a million dollars just so that you can have a million dollars
Speaker:in your bank account. That million dollars means something to you. It
Speaker:means maybe freedom, or maybe it means impact, or maybe it means choice.
Speaker:Maybe it means power. Like, you don't want a specific
Speaker:car, like the G-Wagon on your vision board, you don't want it
Speaker:just to drive a hunk of metal. It means something to you. Same as
Speaker:like that Chanel bag. It means something, whether it's status or style or whatever.
Speaker:Children, what does it mean to you? And how can you start
Speaker:embodying that meaning today? Like now, instead of
Speaker:waiting for that thing to let you
Speaker:have those feelings, how can you start to bring that into your world
Speaker:now? So it starts to diminish that I need that thing so that I can
Speaker:feel this thing. You can start to feel it now. You can start to be
Speaker:it now. You're starting to be in the energy of it, and that is the
Speaker:magnetic force that starts to attract things around you. So back to the
Speaker:story of me manifesting my partner, when I'm in the need of something,
Speaker:that's the energy that I'm putting out. Mm-hmm. It's like a lack. It's, it's not
Speaker:a match to the thing. But when I'm in joy and I feel fulfilled and
Speaker:I feel happy and I love my life and I have so much love
Speaker:in my life because I'm nurturing all these other things, Then I become a match
Speaker:to that deep soulmate love that I want. So there's an energetic
Speaker:component to it. There's a consciousness component to it. And I teach
Speaker:this process called the Free Soul Formula that walks you
Speaker:through how to become the energetic match for it so that
Speaker:you're living as it now. And that's what helps to create
Speaker:things faster. But I also think that there's
Speaker:just infinite numbers of ways that things can happen.
Speaker:Miracle stories, Like there's just so much, especially when it comes to children.
Speaker:I've been looking into this stuff myself. I'm like, okay, so what is it like
Speaker:in your 40s to have a baby? There is a plethora
Speaker:of information and stories that confirm the
Speaker:belief that it is possible, but you will also find a
Speaker:plethora of stories that will confirm the belief that it's not possible.
Speaker:So which belief do you choose to hold as your
Speaker:creative path? Because wherever you focus your attention— And
Speaker:that's where your energy is going. That's where your creative force is going. So
Speaker:if you want children, I would say, look for the beliefs and the
Speaker:proof and the evidence that it is possible. Hold yourself in
Speaker:that energy of possibility and potentiality and
Speaker:become a match for that. And watch how fast things
Speaker:happen in your life. It's wild to see. And the
Speaker:willingness to let go of how we think it's gonna look, because it's like, you
Speaker:think, oh, it's gonna be me. It has to come from me.
Speaker:And it has to be like, You may— might end up
Speaker:becoming— even as you're talking about your desire, it's like you're doing
Speaker:that for all the wounded women's inner children already. You're already
Speaker:being an usher to all these wounded little girls that you work with and
Speaker:who are operating from small self still, and helping them expand into
Speaker:their sovereignty and raise their consciousness and vibration in the world and heal the little
Speaker:girls inside. So you're already being a divine mama in,
Speaker:in a different way. Yeah. You know, and it's like, because Because the
Speaker:reality is sometimes what we think we want is not
Speaker:what we're actually meant to experience. But the thing that I
Speaker:know to be true is what we're meant to experience is always 10 million
Speaker:times better in your body and in the
Speaker:feelings. So coming back to the title, The Life That Feels as Good as It
Speaker:Looks, it's like we've been all programmed about what the life is supposed to look
Speaker:like. This is the next thing, this is what I'm supposed to do. But how
Speaker:it feels like. But actually, yeah, it might be so unexpected.
Speaker:I have always loved kids and been amazing with kids, so I was never like,
Speaker:no, I don't want kids for sure. I went through a phase where I'm like,
Speaker:oh God, I'm a projector and I don't think I have the energy for it
Speaker:and to do my work in the world. But now I've got, I'm
Speaker:sponsoring Elijah and I, this little boy in Kenya.
Speaker:Yeah. And, you know, watching him grow and change and like helping him and who
Speaker:knows where that's gonna go. And like, it's just like, oh, I'm kind of
Speaker:doing it in a different way. And there's just, and you know, the, the saboteur
Speaker:ego mind is gonna be like, nope, it's gotta be like this. And it's gotta
Speaker:be with the picket fence. It's gotta be with the, man with blonde hair and
Speaker:blue eyes like me. So we have another, like, it's gotta be these, this
Speaker:exact thing. And actually what your soul's here for
Speaker:often doesn't look how we think it's gonna look. I think some people who are
Speaker:visual might have a really clear picture and then that comes true.
Speaker:But sometimes, and also I'm a, in human design, a nonspecific manifester.
Speaker:Mm-hmm. So it's just a feeling. I don't, it's, I don't have clear visions.
Speaker:Yeah. I just have feeling and I just follow my yeses and nos in the
Speaker:moment. And then life keeps getting richer and more meaningful and more beautiful. And
Speaker:it's like, So sometimes whether it's kids or partnership or whatever,
Speaker:like all our souls are here for different experiences. I think of the women, I
Speaker:know 4 women who have fallen in love with a
Speaker:woman and never, and none of them are lesbians.
Speaker:Mm-hmm. 4 different couples, 4
Speaker:friends of mine who none of them are lesbians. They still don't identify as
Speaker:lesbian. They fell in love with a woman and are now in a very
Speaker:beautiful, harmonious, amazingly growth-based
Speaker:relationship with a woman. So it's like that, that might
Speaker:freak your saboteur out if you're like, that's not me. But it's like, I share
Speaker:that story because it's like, let life surprise you because what you're
Speaker:meant to experience is better than what you think you're supposed to have.
Speaker:Totally, totally, totally, totally. I think back to
Speaker:like, if I would have, I mean,
Speaker:if I would have met Brock, my husband,
Speaker:when I was like fresh out of my divorce and I was like, I'm ready,
Speaker:where's my person? Like, I definitely would've screwed that up. Yes. Because I was
Speaker:not prepared for it. And if I, there's so many
Speaker:things in my life, if things would've gone the way that I thought they were
Speaker:supposed to, or the way that I wanted, or the way that my brain was
Speaker:like saying, this is how it's supposed to be, I know that I would be
Speaker:miserable because I am so happy now. And I know
Speaker:that there's no other way that the magic that is in my life now could
Speaker:have happened. And if I had like forced what I thought I was supposed to
Speaker:have like happen back then. So it really
Speaker:is like, we think of these things as like destinations that we need to get
Speaker:to. I need to get married. I need to have a baby. I need to
Speaker:like, but our whole life is a journey. Like we know the final
Speaker:destination for each and every one of us. It's the end. We bounce. We're out
Speaker:of here. Like our soul is like, okay, that was a great
Speaker:incarnation. Good job. We've got some Notes for next time. Yeah.
Speaker:But the endgame that we're all
Speaker:like pretending doesn't exist is that we are no longer here. So
Speaker:while we are here, what's the richest, the deepest,
Speaker:the most magical, the most meaningful, the most fulfilling
Speaker:experience that we can have? And it really is when you are
Speaker:in the present moment and you recognize that you are
Speaker:co-creating every single moment by the thoughts that you choose to
Speaker:think, by the feelings that you entertain, by the people that you have around By
Speaker:the things you say yes to. Every decision that you make is
Speaker:shaping your destiny, and it's giving you the opportunity to
Speaker:be happy, to be fulfilled, to be
Speaker:yourself, to be like what you came here to be. There's nobody
Speaker:else that's ever going to do Kate Harlow. There's nobody else that's ever going to
Speaker:do Leah Brathwaite again. So how can I be the most me
Speaker:that I can be, and what is aligned
Speaker:with that. And truly, it is everything on your soul frequency that is
Speaker:the deepest desires of your heart. So the more that you can
Speaker:project that truth of yourself out into the world, the more you will be
Speaker:met with the things that you deeply desire, whether it's like
Speaker:soulmate girlfriends, or a soulmate partner, or
Speaker:work that lights you up, or hobbies that
Speaker:make you feel alive, or places in the world that you get
Speaker:called That you get to experience yourself in new ways.
Speaker:All of that lives inside. Like, it's such a cliché, but
Speaker:everything that you need is already inside of you. The feelings that you want, they're
Speaker:already inside of you. Hmm. Like, you get to access them, and
Speaker:you get to find that alignment. I think it's the coolest thing that we
Speaker:have our physical bodies that help us know when we are in resonance
Speaker:and when we are in dissonance, because we can feel that. If it feels
Speaker:like shit, it's dissonant. It's not your truth. It's not aligned.
Speaker:If it feels good and alive and expansive and like a yes, that is in
Speaker:harmony. That is aligned. And when you, you
Speaker:said something earlier, how you get like a knowing
Speaker:and it feels good in your body. And then immediately your mind is like, ah,
Speaker:but, but, but, but, but, but, and all of the but what ifs and what
Speaker:if the hows and all of that is because your mind, your logic is coded
Speaker:for survival. It is meant to keep you alive, and it's meant to
Speaker:keep you safe, and it's meant to keep you comfortable,
Speaker:really. That's what a comfort zone is. It's all the things that you know that
Speaker:are safe, even if you're not happy in it, they're safe and they're known.
Speaker:Any desire that you have is outside of that. If you don't already
Speaker:have it, it's outside of your comfort zone. So it's going to require you
Speaker:to stretch yourself. It's going to require you to be more of yourself, to express
Speaker:yourself in a new way, to show up in a new way, to
Speaker:adopt a new identity. of yourself, a new
Speaker:self-concept. And that will feel a little bit uncomfortable, and that
Speaker:will feel like this doesn't make sense, this doesn't feel safe. And
Speaker:that dissonance of like, this isn't okay, this isn't safe,
Speaker:is not the truth because it feels like crap. So start doubting
Speaker:your doubt. Like, start like— Hmm. Doubting the doubt that
Speaker:comes up. Like, what if this is just an old version trying to stay
Speaker:safe? What if this is just my old self, my
Speaker:survival self, trying to keep me comfortable. You can
Speaker:see it, you can accept it, you can love it, you can thank it, and
Speaker:you can say, and still, we rise, we grow, we
Speaker:move. Because your soul, like I said, it's infinite.
Speaker:It's connected to this power, this potential that you don't even
Speaker:know how much you have because we haven't been able to
Speaker:fully exercise it. So it's going to call you to the edge of that comfort
Speaker:zone every single time. It's going to ask you to surrender an old version of
Speaker:yourself to adopt a new new version of yourself and to expand into
Speaker:who you were meant to be so that you can have all the things that
Speaker:you were meant to have. But it's a balance of
Speaker:getting to know yourself and then letting go of that old self over and
Speaker:over again. Like, you will die. I can't remember who said it, but if you're
Speaker:living right, you will die multiple deaths along the way because you are
Speaker:constantly letting go of these old versions of yourself.
Speaker:Totally. And yeah,
Speaker:it's so powerful. And it's so like, I always think
Speaker:like it's when I'm the most afraid, I know that that's where I'm meant to
Speaker:go because it's like that, the comfort zone, the misery
Speaker:zone, the depression zone. It's, it,
Speaker:that is exactly where we're meant to go to be more of who we are.
Speaker:And the funny thing is, it's like we're chasing all of these things. I wanna
Speaker:have my person. I gotta have it. If it's coming from that place of, I
Speaker:need this thing to feel good, you'll never feel good. You'll feel good for an
Speaker:hour, for a day, for a week, for a month. but you'll never feel good
Speaker:versus like, as you said, everything's already inside. You
Speaker:start to cultivate those feelings internally and live from that place as
Speaker:if you already have the greatest love and the most intimate intimacy. You
Speaker:walk through the world with your heart open, following your yeses and
Speaker:actually taking those courageous steps. You feel so good that you
Speaker:actually don't need anything. See, irony, you don't need any of those things
Speaker:anymore. Exactly. And, but that's when you become magnetic to them. But actually you're
Speaker:like happy without them. the person or without the thing because you're,
Speaker:you're home and you're connected to, to all that you
Speaker:are. So that's the irony. It's like the moment we
Speaker:actually don't need those things anymore, that's when we become magnetic to them. But
Speaker:also we then aren't in that place of small, like, I need this
Speaker:thing. Yeah. And then you're not attached in the same way. So now you get
Speaker:to actually fully experience it. That's exactly it. That's the law of
Speaker:detachment. It's like one of the universal principles of manifestation. The law of
Speaker:detachment is like, if you are attached to something and you need it because you
Speaker:think there's power that's coming from it, you are not a match for it. Hmm.
Speaker:And so when you're able to, like, remove that need and you're like, oh, I'm
Speaker:already it, that's when it's able to be like, oh, she's already it.
Speaker:Let's connect. But until you're able to come to that
Speaker:realization of truth within yourself,
Speaker:I mean, then you're always putting your power out to something else.
Speaker:That person will always have power. That bank account number will always have power.
Speaker:If it changes, then you lose your sense of self. You lose your sense
Speaker:of, okay, And I truly believe that the
Speaker:whole point of anything that we want or we want to manifest,
Speaker:like I said, it's not because we want that thing, but it's because we believe
Speaker:that there's a reflection of ourselves in that thing. That's what this whole
Speaker:experience is like. Can you experience yourself? Can you
Speaker:recognize that you are powerful, that you are abundant, that you are worthy,
Speaker:that you are love, that you are magnificent? This 3D
Speaker:world is constantly giving us the opportunity to see that for
Speaker:ourselves and to create more of that for ourselves. Yeah. And at the same
Speaker:token, we can also buy into the story that we're not enough, that we're always
Speaker:going to be comparing ourselves to others, that we're judging all the things that are
Speaker:happening in our lives as like bad or wrong because it
Speaker:should be different. But when we're able to
Speaker:come to a place of recognizing that we get to create the
Speaker:experience that we desire to have through our perception, through
Speaker:our consciousness, through taking ownership and control
Speaker:of our mind, instead of letting our mind run the show and
Speaker:like come up with all of these like imagined scenarios of
Speaker:demise, then we get to see like, it really is
Speaker:much more simple than we've made it out to be. And it really is much
Speaker:more magical than we ever even knew. Yeah,
Speaker:totally. Exactly. And like, look, I just think, okay, we're
Speaker:magnetic to women who are doing the same thing. That too, like, because you just
Speaker:become a magnet to what you are. So I think like all my friends have
Speaker:these magical, epic who are up to the most amazing, extraordinary things, who are
Speaker:so on purpose, love what they do, have amazing love, have amazing
Speaker:lives, have deep, meaningful relationships. Like it, I'm
Speaker:surrounded by people like that because I'm living it and the embodiment of it. So
Speaker:the more we become embodied in it, the more like everything in your life reflects
Speaker:that. Totally. But that's the hard part because it's you that has to
Speaker:go first and then you do the thing. Yes. Yes. But most people are like,
Speaker:well, I'm waiting for the universe to give me the money so then I'll feel
Speaker:abundant. Or I'm waiting for the man to show up and then I will feel
Speaker:worthy. We gotta reverse it. You go first, the universe
Speaker:responds. It is constantly giving you a reflection
Speaker:back of what you believe about yourself and the standards that you hold for yourself.
Speaker:Like, both you and I have high standards for the relationships that we bring into
Speaker:our lives, and it's because we've made that our standard.
Speaker:We've chosen that for ourselves. It's not somebody else who has said, you know, I
Speaker:think you only deserve to have people who are
Speaker:mature and emotionally regulated and purposeful
Speaker:and inspiring. It's like, no, you become that first, and
Speaker:then that is what becomes your experience.
Speaker:So that's the hard part in manifestation, taking that responsibility and
Speaker:ownership and the assumption, holding that, being that, you
Speaker:being it first before you have evidence around it. And then the
Speaker:evidence comes and then you're like, yeah, of course. Like, yeah, because it's who I
Speaker:am. Yeah, exactly. I love it.
Speaker:So I love how you teach this and it's so
Speaker:expansive and inspiring, and I always love how articulate And eloquent you are.
Speaker:And yeah, just love. I've learned so much from you over the years,
Speaker:and I would love for you to share like how, if someone
Speaker:like who, I'm sure many women wanna go deeper with you, tell us all the
Speaker:ways. Well, there's a multitude of ways. I
Speaker:have a lot of free offerings. So if you
Speaker:are on Instagram at all, I'm @lea.brathwaite on Instagram. You can get a
Speaker:free copy of my book. It's called A New Way of Life. If you are
Speaker:just starting to figure out like, how do I connect to my soul? It's a
Speaker:guide for Transformation from Living a Lie to Freeing Your Soul. So
Speaker:getting yourself in touch with you, understanding how to live free, how to
Speaker:free your soul, and start to hear the whispers of your soul. I also have
Speaker:a free masterclass that I am teaching on Wednesday. This
Speaker:is called How High Achieving Women Manifest a Life That
Speaker:Feels as Good as It Looks. So I take you through the behind the scenes
Speaker:of your survival self and your soul, and why maybe manifestation
Speaker:hasn't worked for you in the past, and how this one
Speaker:shift can allow you to start creating and calling in things
Speaker:from a different place. And then I also have my
Speaker:6-month manifestation mentorship ecosystem called the Free
Speaker:Soul Collective, which is a deep dive into this work. So you are
Speaker:doing the embodiment work, you are understanding your mechanism of how
Speaker:to do this, how to upgrade your consciousness, and how to become the
Speaker:identity of your next-level self, how to clarify your desires, how to
Speaker:reprogram your subconscious, and how to be the embodied expression
Speaker:of what you desire to manifest. And it's truly
Speaker:I think more and more, I've been doing this work for the last, gosh, well,
Speaker:personally with myself since like 2014,
Speaker:but professionally since 2019. And the more
Speaker:I do it, the more refined I get. And the Free Soul Collective is by
Speaker:far my favorite experience because it's a culmination
Speaker:of all of this work that I've done, like all of the spirituality, all of
Speaker:the meditation, the metaphysics, the energy, and— Design. And
Speaker:Human Design. And to see these women manifesting the most
Speaker:epic shit. is like, yeah, we all get to do
Speaker:this. Like, this is our natural state. This is our natural way
Speaker:of being. We just have to remember that, or we just have to relearn it
Speaker:because we've been told that it's hustling, it's grinding, it's working
Speaker:harder, it's proving your worth, it's people pleasing, it's trying to be perfect.
Speaker:We've been told that that's the way, like doing more to get more. This is
Speaker:about being more of you to receive more of what is meant for you.
Speaker:And it's my favorite thing in the world to do. So. And doing it in
Speaker:community. And doing it in community. And collaboration and celebrating each
Speaker:other and celebrating. Like, I, I think how many women, the other version that you
Speaker:just described is like everyone's alone in that, thinking they're alone. Like there's no
Speaker:universe, there's no guides, there's no angels. Just alone and competing. Do it
Speaker:alone and competing and comparing versus this way is
Speaker:in community. Everyone's celebrating each other. Everyone's sharing. So even
Speaker:if like someone else is winning, you are winning because it's like
Speaker:a representation of, of we're all doing this together and now Look what,
Speaker:what, look what we're experiencing. Yeah, exactly. It's just such a
Speaker:beautiful thing. And for somebody who for very many years had
Speaker:a hard time with community because of the religious community I was
Speaker:raised in, that's a whole other story. Um, it's so beautiful to
Speaker:see what happens when aligned souls are all in a collective
Speaker:together and the relationships that are
Speaker:forming. And it's not like we're doing any cheesy, like, relationship-building things, but like,
Speaker:people are hiring other people to do their astrology readings or to do
Speaker:breathwork or It's just a really beautiful space
Speaker:that I feel so proud of and so obsessed with.
Speaker:So those are the ways. Oh, and
Speaker:yeah, 40 Days of Devotion is the meditation practice that we do
Speaker:inside of the collective. So you can get like an example, like a taste of
Speaker:some of the work that we do in there. I think the next one will
Speaker:be in October. I think it'll be in October.
Speaker:I'm waiting on the full download for that one. But so
Speaker:those are the ways that we can go deeper into this Amazing. We'll
Speaker:link it all below this episode. And yeah,
Speaker:I would love to share, for you to share any final
Speaker:words you have about living a life that feels
Speaker:aligned rather than just looks good,
Speaker:that feels as good as it looks. I love this question. And
Speaker:I think what I would say is like, your soul already knows,
Speaker:like if you are a woman that is looking around your life and you're
Speaker:kind of like, how did I get here? Or you feel like a heavy feeling
Speaker:of frustration, or you know that there is like
Speaker:something else that you're meant to be doing, something else that you're meant to be
Speaker:experiencing. There's more for you out there. That is your truth.
Speaker:That is your soul speaking. And
Speaker:I don't say it lightly, but it's like your obligation
Speaker:to follow Follow that. Like, there's nobody else who's going to live
Speaker:out the potential that you came here with except you. So
Speaker:follow those nudges, follow those whispers. Like, start to look for
Speaker:evidence that there is more available for you. Look for people who are
Speaker:doing what you want to do. Find out how they're doing it.
Speaker:Get in touch with people. Find yourself in a community where
Speaker:there's inspiring conversation, where people are uplifting each other, where there's not
Speaker:this competitiveness nature, or just complaining all the
Speaker:time, or like a cutthroat kind of dog-eat-dog kind
Speaker:of thing. There's enough of that in the world. We need more women who have
Speaker:come alive with their truth, who are in their power, who are
Speaker:creating their lives in alignment
Speaker:with love and inspiration and abundance and
Speaker:worthiness and power and— Fun! And fun!
Speaker:Like, I think that's how we're going to change the world. I don't think it's
Speaker:through anything other than like getting in touch with ourselves, living the most
Speaker:fulfilled life that we can, and being the ripple effect in the world, letting
Speaker:other people see that. Beautiful. Love it so
Speaker:much. Thank you, my love, for all your brilliance and wisdom.
Speaker:Love having these juicy conversations with you. And I
Speaker:highly recommend joining Leah's extraordinary community.
Speaker:I've done your 40 Days of Devotion multiple times. I did it by myself once.
Speaker:And then did it in community, although I was in a different time zone, so
Speaker:I did it at a different time of day. But it was so amazing.
Speaker:And mornings are just as good. Oh my gosh, 'cause you teach wisdom
Speaker:every day and do the devotion, and it's so beautiful to have that. I know
Speaker:so many women, when they start working with me, it's like building that practice
Speaker:of ritual and connecting with self
Speaker:first thing in the morning is so abnormal for most
Speaker:women. And so it's so beautiful that in your programs, like, that's built in
Speaker:teaching. And when you commit to 40 days, It
Speaker:like, and I, I know that that part isn't coming up to the fall, but
Speaker:it's part of your, your program. And there's recordings of the past
Speaker:ones. And recordings of past ones. Yeah. So even if you do it on your
Speaker:own or with other women from the group, like, hey, who wants to do a
Speaker:40-day and you, or with friends, whatever. And you do it. Um, like
Speaker:having that, like every time I've done it with you, I've ended up doing 90
Speaker:days. I started with 40 and then I ended up doing 90. 'Cause it's like,
Speaker:oh God, this feels so good. Why would I ever stop? Yeah. There's women in
Speaker:the collective who like, we do one every, um, season and they'll do one and
Speaker:they're like, well, What am I doing until the next one? They just keep doing
Speaker:it, or they pick one from the archives. And I've had clients who've
Speaker:like, I'm like, they're well past a year of doing it daily because it becomes
Speaker:such a powerful anchor. So I love it. I don't
Speaker:talk about it enough, but 40 Days of Devotion is truly,
Speaker:it changed my life. So it's really beautiful practice. It's amazing. And what a gift,
Speaker:like how insane that we don't connect with ourselves first thing in the morning, and
Speaker:with our hearts and souls and bodies and energy. Like, it's crazy
Speaker:that we don't. So yeah, love it. Thank you so much for all your wisdom.
Speaker:Thank you for having me. I love you so much. So much.
Speaker:Okay. And as always, share this episode with every woman you know
Speaker:who needs to hear this message, and we'll see you soon.
