From telemedicine and in-home care to assisted living and mobile healthcare services, Loral explores business ideas for nurses that build on skills Cheryl already has. Most importantly, she encourages Cheryl to start now, using the next 13 months to test business ideas for nurses, begin generating revenue, and create a runway from employee to entrepreneur.

Loral Langemeier:

Awesome. Hey, Cheryl, how are you? I'm great,

Loral Langemeier:

thanks. Perfect. And you're in Minnesota. Got two Minnesotans

Loral Langemeier:

tonight. That's rare. You are you married? Yes. Okay. And does

Loral Langemeier:

the w2 as well? Yes. Okay. You're working with Rebecca,

Loral Langemeier:

correct?

Unknown:

Correct. Correct.

Loral Langemeier:

So your question is: I'm working at w2

Loral Langemeier:

as an RN for the VA. You have 13 months before you hit your 20

Loral Langemeier:

years, and you could leave with benefits. You have about a half

Loral Langemeier:

million in retirement, which is not enough. I thought I would

Loral Langemeier:

have to go get another job after watching you. I now wonder what

Loral Langemeier:

is possible. What can I do on my own with RN? A lot. My

Loral Langemeier:

daughter-in-law's RN. We have so many RNs that have moved to more

Loral Langemeier:

telemed, supporting telemed docs. We have telemed docs in

Loral Langemeier:

the community that you could like just jump over work with

Loral Langemeier:

them, you know, as a potential straddle, and then go on your

Loral Langemeier:

own. Also, with RN credentials, you can be you could lead

Loral Langemeier:

assisted living, so you buy the real estate and actually put a

Loral Langemeier:

business inside of it. You don't have to do all the work, but you

Loral Langemeier:

have to have you. You would be the the administrator of it all.

Loral Langemeier:

There's a lot. There's a lot of things you could do with that

Loral Langemeier:

young lady. Huge amount. I mean, you could do in-home care. You

Loral Langemeier:

could do assisted living care. You could go like with Raymond

Loral Langemeier:

or earlier, who does a special needs care, the benefit of

Loral Langemeier:

putting some of these kinds of things together, like we have

Loral Langemeier:

people who own the real estate and then put in silver living,

Loral Langemeier:

you know, for the for addicted folks to get sober. So, I mean,

Loral Langemeier:

there is such a range of you being able to invest when you

Loral Langemeier:

quit. The 500 could be used to actually buy the real estate,

Loral Langemeier:

right? And then if your credit's good between you and your

Loral Langemeier:

spouse, you use that. And then we're going to teach you. I

Loral Langemeier:

mean, once you do one or two of these projects right, then you

Loral Langemeier:

come back to the table community, me, and say, "All

Loral Langemeier:

right, I want I want to go bigger. And that's when you can

Loral Langemeier:

get like other people from the big table to be investors in

Loral Langemeier:

your project, and then you can just keep growing, right? So

Loral Langemeier:

repeat, rinse, repeat. So do one or two of them really right, and

Loral Langemeier:

then go big, almost like a licensing model. I have an RN in

Loral Langemeier:

Florida, and all she does is she's got mobile dentistry, even

Loral Langemeier:

though she's an RN, because a lot of the assisted and active

Loral Langemeier:

living homes, like the 55 and older, those like sent. They

Loral Langemeier:

actually have no dental care and no dental hygiene as part of

Loral Langemeier:

their and their offer. And if you really look around, it's

Loral Langemeier:

pretty rare. So something as simple as that, she does that,

Loral Langemeier:

and then she has in blood pressure, and she, I mean, she's

Loral Langemeier:

making over a million with her in her little van and a few

Loral Langemeier:

assistants brushing teeth, taking care of their teeth,

Loral Langemeier:

hygiene. It's it's fascinating how people can make money. It's

Loral Langemeier:

just you know what do you want to do and what's around your

Loral Langemeier:

neighborhood and your community that's going to make sense if

Loral Langemeier:

you have a geo targeted. If you want to go wide, then you do the

Loral Langemeier:

telemed, and you know people can call you from all over the

Loral Langemeier:

world. Yeah, I'm interested in telework, telemed, definitely.

Loral Langemeier:

Maybe contracting with somebody, things like that. Yeah,

Loral Langemeier:

definitely. And so we'd help you set up the corporate structure,

Loral Langemeier:

make sure the taxes are done right. Do you guys have a trust?

Unknown:

No.

Loral Langemeier:

So then do that, and then as you're hearing

Loral Langemeier:

with everybody, making money is the one side of it. We'll handle

Loral Langemeier:

the keeping taxes and corporate structure side, and the trust

Loral Langemeier:

side, and all of the foundational side, and then

Loral Langemeier:

learning to invest that money, and then continuing to learn how

Loral Langemeier:

to invest is the long term. That's why we do the lifetime

Loral Langemeier:

membership.

Unknown:

Okay.

Loral Langemeier:

When are you and Rebecca talking again? Love

Loral Langemeier:

to help you. We're going to touch base after, I believe

Loral Langemeier:

after this session. Okay, awesome. All right. Well, again,

Loral Langemeier:

let her know if you have any other further questions. Love to

Loral Langemeier:

help you. Do you have any other questions? No, not right now.

Loral Langemeier:

Just need a starting point. Yep. Well, and I would say you want

Loral Langemeier:

to start now, not when you know 13 months from now, you want to

Loral Langemeier:

have all this time as runway and be in some level of revenue

Loral Langemeier:

because you might have some starts and stops, right? You

Loral Langemeier:

might try something and it's like that's like going to be

Loral Langemeier:

more work than I thought it was going to be, and then you back

Loral Langemeier:

like so. There's a little bit of testing what's going to be

Loral Langemeier:

what's ready for the market, which we'll do some market

Loral Langemeier:

testing, and for the most part, you're going to do that on

Loral Langemeier:

social media. I already knew I'm going to give you two, and we'll

Loral Langemeier:

start figuring out in your area. Where are you in Minnesota, by

Loral Langemeier:

the way? Close to St. Cloud. Oh, that's great. So you're in a big

Loral Langemeier:

area. Yeah. Okay. All right. We'll let Rebecca know what

Loral Langemeier:

other questions you have, and I love look forward to working

Loral Langemeier:

with you. Sounds great. Thank you. Thanks. All right. Thanks,

Loral Langemeier:

Cheryl.
