Both women and men are socialized to deny themselves the things they most want. We spend our time doing all the things we believe we “should” do. We try to appease our parents, bosses, spouses, friends, mentors, teachers, priests and gurus, and we’re left feeling frustrated, resentful and unfulfilled. We’ve forgotten the sacred art of listening to ourselves.
