My fascination with the paranormal and all things unknown. I don't know if it was formed by this particular TV show or fueled when which came first, but definitely increased my interest in the subject area. And that is a show called great mysteries of the world. Although it turns out it was only called that in Australia, it was actually called In Search of everywhere else it was screened. And this show is to dive into like I said the paranormal conspiracies, things like Bigfoot moments in history that were unexplained and tended to have a controversial or conspiracy theory type look at these things. But it also looked at some of those human capabilities that we still don't know a heap about. So things like people having visions, people being possessed by entities or energies or other such, you know, paranormal activity. And there was a few things that used to really grab my attention. And one of them was that concept that we're all you know, we only really aware of this small percentage of our brain that we access, you know, and then always leave this really open ended questions like what else is possible? For the rest of our brain? What else could we be capable of as humans? What? Who could we communicate with what else is possible and, and that you suggest, just intrigued me? It would, it would often come on in the winter months at about 435 o'clock in the afternoon, just as it was getting dark. And as a young to middle teenager, it used to give me chills back then and getting them now as I think about those days. But like I said, it also just gave me this fascination with that subject area. I grew up in a church going family that the belief was around this concept of the Holy Spirit and, and miracles and all these different things. So as a young fellow that this just seemed a logical progression, I guess. And at the same time, as it got a bit older and more cynical, I stepped away from all of that sort of area, paranormal and religious and basically dismissed all of it, there's nonsense. But then there was part of me that was still intrigued, right? Often the greatest skeptics or deniers or cynics are also extremely curious at the same time. And that was me. And then as life goes on, and you have big moments, and you face moments in your life where everything changes. And that was as I've mentioned many times on the party's my dad's passing, which leaves you questioning everything, everything. And then as you start to learn and you start to grow, and you get re introduced to these concepts to these ideas. And it fascinates you, because you're looking for answers. And the regular places that you get answers on these sort of things aren't providing the answers that you want. They're not providing the answers that you need. So you search and you start to find answers that make more sense that actually help and some of them are beyond what is generally accepted about how things are in this world. Some of them are a bit out there. And yet somehow, when you've been through grief, they make so much more sense. And I like what I had one of my guests say to me, not on the interview, but separately was like, sometimes we have to go through these dark moments to get us back on the path we were meant to be on. And it's an opportunity to look at your whole life again. And sure, you've got to grieve, and sure you've got to deal with the pain. At the same time, it's like, okay, well, if everything I've ever thought about my life is now thrown out the window, because I've just lost someone. So close to me so dear to me so loved. Or I've just been through the most painful experience. There. It's a breakdown of a relationship, loss of a job. Something happening to someone really important in your life. That darkness, that excruciating pain you go through is an opportunity to look at life differently. Because you think, Well, if that's if that's not what I thought it was, what else is not what I thought it was, what else is not playing out how I thought we thought it would play out? What's the actual truth of this situation? Now, I still have a fascination in this space, you only have to listen to my interviews to know that quite often it comes up these conversations with people who have passed or moments that can't be explained logically. Like only this week, when I had a friend of mine pop into my head, someone who I've coached previously. And I'm like, I'll just send him a message. And he replies, he said, interesting that you messaged, I came off my bike today, got knocked unconscious, and I'm in hospital. Now have had that experience way too many times, to be shocked or surprised. But I've also had way too many times to think that it's a coincidence anymore. We're all connected. And the more connected you can get to yourself, the more you can access this connection, you've already you've all experienced it, you've experienced those times where you thought about someone and then they run you the next minute, or they've come around the next corner. So embrace the mysteries of this world. And as the other title of that show, in search of when you're in search of whatever it is you're searching for, be open, be open to possibilities, be open to all new ways of seeing the world be open to everything you ever have known not being true. Because that's when you start discovering incredible truths about yourself. You start discovering moments of absolute joy, of fulfillment, of being able to make peace with even the most painful moments in your life. And it's where you too can start accessing a deeper level of your ability to connect with people at a deeper level than the surface level that most of us connect with. To be able to reconnect to that intuitive side of you that almost knows what's going on with people in your life. That does know that preamps conversations that has you reaching out to someone just the moment that they need it. So be curious, keep searching. I'd be open and you'll get so much more out of this life.
