About the Host:
When we are inspired by our own thoughts, we feel a true sense of joy, creativity, and the energy of infinite potential or possibilities that are available to us. Then someone needs a snack and the thoughts have gone. I am here to say YOU matter. My name is Carrie Lecuyer, I am an empowerment coach for moms with a feeling that there is more on their hearts and I want to help you reconnect and re-align with your soul's purpose and passion and remain a great MOM.
As a mom of two little boys who love mud, I have visions, goals, ideas, and thoughts. Sometimes they only lasted for seconds, and the rest of the day I spend cleaning up after my kids.
Over the past 20 years, I spent 15 years in a fast-paced career development and personal development environment. I have completed 26 half marathons, crossed the finish line at Ironman Canada, and became a mom. It has been the most amazing journey with so many lessons. I know for a fact that the moment I made a decision, clarity in all directions appeared.
I am here to help you connect with what lights you up, through 1:1 coaching.

Hello, my friends and welcome. You're listening to soul inspired decisions, a podcast for ordinary moms living extraordinary lives. My intention with this podcast is to teach, motivate and inspire by sharing stories, tools and strategies to help you unlock your greatest fears, annoying habits and old stories and make a move towards the things that have been on your heart. If you have been a little lost, or in a funk, and want to reconnect with your purpose, your passion and feel empowered again, then this is the best place for you to be hanging out. My name is Carrie Lecuyer. And I'm an ordinary mom making extraordinary decisions. This is me putting one foot in front of the other, moving towards my next goal, and hoping to inspire you along the way. Let's get started.
Carrie Lecuyer:Hello, hello, everyone. Thank you for showing up today. Thank you for taking the time to listen, I want to share with you all a topic that's coming up for so many people right now in conversations and clients. And maybe you can relate. So maybe this is for everyone. I know it certainly comes up for me, my husband at times at my family member. So maybe it's really a relevant topic for so many of us as we are expanding and looking to grow in different ways in awareness and in career job. And so this is the topic of, I guess the statements that are coming up the most. So maybe you can relate maybe you know, someone who has been saying these things, but they're very clear when they're coming up. So here's what's coming up. I'm so tired of my job, but I make good money. I want to apply for something different. But what if I don't make the same amount of money. I really love my job. But if I leave, I won't have the benefits or the pension. I want to take some courses, but I don't think we have the money. I would love to explore coaching. But I don't have the money. I want a better balance, life, work, family, all the things. But if I change something, what if I don't make enough money? So the bottom line is, we're so focused on where we are, that we have no room to grow. Because every single one of them is, but I don't. And I can't and I won't and what if it doesn't work and all the things so those are the excuses. Those are our ego, you can call it the devil, the barking dog the all the thoughts that come into our brain. But the bottom line is, what's the piece in front of that? I'm so tired of my job. I want to apply for something different. I would love to take some new courses, I would love to hire a coach, I really want to show up for my kids. Sports. Those are the things you really want. Okay, so that's clearly what you need to focus on the but I that's you. So the first part of your sentence is what you want. So that's your soul, your intuition of what you really want in your life. And then the logic which comes in immediately after it shuts you down on purpose is but the money but my wife but my family but my kids but the training the cost the time the all the excuses. Is change easy as an adult? Absolutely not. Here's the thing. We only have so much time here on this planet. So you actually get to decide on what's important to you. Is it really going to be important for you and nine years old if you reflect with your children. Hey guys, and I'm so glad we made a lot of money sorry I couldn't be there for soccer all the time. Is it really gonna matter? That was the big statement two weeks ago for man I was coaching who's been really trying to justify why he might want to change a job or should be allowed to change his job when you know he's his family is not giving him any grief. His family's giving him the space to explore this, but he's got all the excuses and all the worries and all the things because he takes care of his family Correct. Some of you can relate with your family scenarios for sure.
Carrie Lecuyer:Now I also can relate on changing Everything are completely Li, satisfied, and robotic life. Because that's what we do we get in a comfort zone. And we'd like to know what's happening, when it's happening, what's happening in the seasons, all the things we love comfort. But when you can identify someone is not happy with the thing that they're doing. You have to be open to exploring, because would you rather live 30 years, knowing that your spouse isn't happy or you're not happy for the next 30 years because of the, but I don't want to put anybody out. I don't want to put anybody through stress, even though you're completely internally, not happy. And some of you are gonna feel this right now, if you have this heaviness on your heart of that's me, that's what I'm doing to my spouse or that's me in that wanting that there's more I want to start a side hustle, I want to do something more I want to go back to school. But my husband might not let me my husband might not like the idea. He's not in charge of your happiness. You're not in charge of your spouse's happiness. Let them explore, explore it. This is what's coming up. These are real conversations. And along with the excuses of all of this, it's essentially on how close minded we are. Okay, so personal awareness. Yep, I definitely want more life, I'd like it to be a little bit more exciting. Sure, love some training. But I'm too old. I can't probably take the time to do that and will never survive financially. Excuses. Is it easy to change? Not at all. Is it easy to come to the decision to change? Not at all? Is it going to be easy to stay where you are for the next 30 years? Not at all? The most important thing to understand is, we are our own worst enemy. Period. Before we take action to do something, we think about it. Yes or no? Do you take time to think about what you want? Yes or no? I'm asking you. You already know the answers. So be honest with yourself. Yes or no? I would love to change careers. Yes or no. I would love to move departments in what I'm doing. Yes or no. I would love to start a side hustle. Maybe bring in some extra money? Yes or no? I would love to start some courses. Yes or no? That's where your clarity comes in. There is no maybe in that it's not black, white and gray. It's yes or no. If you can't say yes. Then there's much deeper stuff going on, that you can't bring yourself to decide. But the key is clarity. So if you want to start some courses, and if your answer was yes, so your steps are how can I make this work? It's not, oh, it's gonna be so expensive. Courses are expensive. But if you want to grow, you have to invest. It doesn't matter what you do. You have to invest. You cannot stay in your comfort zone without investing you cannot make a move. without investing. You cannot change careers without investing. It is hands down got to happen. When you get clear on what you want to do, the steps start to fall into place automatically. And all of a sudden, there is $200 here a month for a course. There is $250 here for your side hustle. Maybe it's just starting a website on Wix. Maybe you do have $300 for the program, or the coach or whatever it is you need to move forward. It becomes available as soon as you say yes. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. This was said by Albert Einstein and it is true.
Carrie Lecuyer:So in your life are you doing the same thing over and feeling like a robot and you're providing for your family so everybody's safe so everybody's good? But you're missing this and you're missing that and and you would love this and you would love that and but I just can't if that's where you're creating your own insanity. It's not going to matter at the end of the year life, how much money you made, it's really going to matter how happy you are not one person says, on their deathbed, I wish I would have made a little bit more money. Every single human being that is asked says, I wish I would have spent more time with my family. I wish I would have taken a chance. So wherever you are in your journey, right now, I'm trying to decide what is for you what is not for you. It's a yes or no. In what you want. Get clear on your vision. That will create clarity. That's number one. Number two, what would you love your ideal end result to be? Write it down, say it out loud, then let it go. Don't focus on the end result. Just know that you have your vision, creating your clarity. And your result will come as you start taking an action step. So what's one thing you can do today, that will move you forward in the thing that you want to do? Because you already know you're, you want to do it, because you can't say yes to any one of these questions, and then not move forward. Because that puts you back in the insanity, you're creating insanity for your life. So this is pointing it out to you clearly that you want something different. And then it's up to you to make it change. So you can right now, when this podcast is done Google one thing, make one call, send that text to whoever you need to send it to post the thing that you need to post, I don't know what you have going on in your life, what you want to do, maybe you do want to hire the website designer, maybe you do want to hire a coach, maybe you do want to sign up for that course, then do it just out of the spur of the moment. If you feel it's right, then do it. And then stick to it. If it's meant for you, it will work out and create space. And it's the most epic thing. And experiencing your journey. When you look back on how hard the first decision was. And the first decision was deciding. Getting the clarity. That's the hardest part. I'm asking you today, to tell yourself what are you open to? Are you open to new ways of thinking and doing? Start with one intention, getting clearer, asking yourself the tough questions, and then just do one step. Maybe add some affirmations these days, you don't have to share them with anybody. You can say to yourself in the morning, I am open to new ways of thinking and doing. And I'm open to creating and opening new doors. I have a whole list of my own mantras that I've said and they've developed over a solid three years and changed. And it's my doing my thinking. It's not my husband's thinking or doing or my kids, it's mine. It helps me get clear on my Deal and set me up for things that happen. And then I write them down the good things that happen and I'll share them with my family. But they're my things. mindset. Mindset is my mindset. It's not my husband's mindset. It's not my kids mindset. But they do see the way things happen. And are open to new ways and new possibilities. So in order to change, what do you have to start thinking about or changing to make that process happen? Our thoughts become things, though, if you want to make more money, what can you do? Not the excuses side of things. What if your hours are exactly the way you dreamed of if you did change jobs? What if you did start that side hustle and the job you're working at really wasn't a problem anymore? Because you're doing something you actually locked. Things work out for people all the time. And then checking at the end of the day. What is one thing you did well, and then say thank you for that. Thank you. I think you're awesome and you're worthy. And this is this is the one shot at life with God. And if you're feeling heavy, and you don't know which direction to go, any clarity.
Carrie Lecuyer:I can help you with that. So my name is Carrie Leucyer and this is my podcast soul inspired decisions. And I work with men and women who need clarity who need to follow their heart and their dreams and the need to get things out and create the things they want to create through a career development pro assess a journey of exploration. And a long time ago when I worked for the school division, you know, I worked with people who are trying to figure out their career. And I still work with people who are trying to figure out their career. And the one thing is that they're just not happy and just need the one shift to take a chance. And so if you know someone in your life who needs this episode, send it to a friend, send them to my website, send them to my Instagram, my links tree oh, yes, me and my technology. I should I need to hire someone to help me with my things. Yes or no? Yes, I do. That became very clear to me the last couple of days is I'm trying to work on things. And I'm not tech savvy. So what do I need to do? Yes, sir. So I do for myself all the time. And it's easy to get stuck around things, but how can we use our life? How can we make things better? So even I make changes for myself, even though I can come up with all the excuses, you all can. But I know in the end, if it's aligned with the things we want in life, they just start happening for us. And as I was thinking that I was so frustrated with all the technology things, my website designer who I haven't spoken to, in probably eight or 10 months, messages me and says, Hey, do you need help with anything? And I was like, Oh, my God, it's aligned. So there you have it, a little magic for my day, a little magic of how I my brain works and to follow those leads. So I do have a passion for personal development, career development, and of course, spiritual development, and they all mixed together beautifully to work and serve my clients. So if you want to work one on one with me, please look me up on the link tree at Soul underscore inspired underscore decisions. And I'll be there Take care.
