Hello, it's Howard Brown. It's the Shining Brightly
Podcast show. I have an amazing show. Where all the way from
Germany, Frankfurt, Germany, I have Renee Isermann here. I'm so
glad to have you. How are you today?
I'm so excited. Thank you to have me on the
show. The sun
is shining not in Germany, it's shining a little
in Michigan here. So it's okay. But I need to tell you that,
Renee, I are so aligned and so connected, because she has
lifted herself up, and she lifts up others. And we're going to
tell you how she does that. And she's absolutely got an
incredible story that I want to share with you. But let me tell
you a little bit about her. So Renee estimate is a former
professional European handball player. Now in the US, we don't
know Handball is very much, but because of the Olympics, we're
starting to know about handball a little bit better. So she's an
elite athlete. She's also the founder, and the International
Best Selling Author of yoga for face yoga than ever for her
face. And she's helped over 10,000 clients learn the ways to
naturally rebalance their face, reveal more natural beauty. And
without Botox without surgery, all holistic, because this is
how you connect to yourself, the mind body and soul. It's such a
beautiful mission. I love it. So before we dig in, and get deep
into your story, okay, share something you know, a little bit
that people may not know about you that you want to share.
Yeah, sure, everybody's knowing I'm the
athlete. But as a little girl, my biggest dream was to be a
singer and dancer, and really just like to express myself. And
so that was my biggest hidden secret.
You want to be a singer and a dancer. And then
you became an elite handball player. And now you just, you're
you're holistically heal and help people feel and look
better, every day is beautiful. Share a little bit about your
background, growing up a little bit what you want to share and,
and what you did before you became the holistic face to face
with queen.
Um, so I mean, just like 22 years of
professional athlete, that was the only thought I had in the
morning. And until I was going to sleep, so everything was
about, like, how I can perform better how I can just like,
support my team, how I just like so everything was focused on
that. So and my whole life was just like, very scattered.
When did you start? When did you start the
handball career as a little girl as well?
I was nine years old. Right?
And then you got into the elite training program.
And that's a discipline that's that's dominates your life,
right to be come and eat like, what you eat. What you how you
working out and, and preparing Correct?
Yes. So and so my target was I was always just
like, because I was so talented. I was always just like how to
perform with the older kids. So I had I was going starting
school was five, and even being an athlete, when you have like
the the age caps, I had also to perform just like two years
older, so match them. So I was just like, our pacing the whole
time. It was like, okay, I can do that. I can do that. So that
was free hustling. And that from an early age.
On it tell you so my daughter Emily wasn't an
elite soccer goalie football for the Europeans, right. And she
had to train with the team, five days a week, but then she had
three extra trainings just for the goalie. So and then we had
games all weekend and a goalie played in you know, they could
sub a goalie and so I lived that for 10 years from age eight to
age 18 with my daughter, and I played basketball my whole life.
So I understand the life of an athlete, not not as you as an
elite athlete, but it's a discipline and you have to
sacrifice and you give up things. So sleepovers with
friends with you know, your own friends, you know, going out to
the movies, sometimes, you know, you weren't able to do that. So
it's a big sacrifice. So that was a dominant part of your
life. And then you decided your retirement right from handball.
That was not, that was not my will. So my
buddy was telling me I'm done. I am I was when I was 31. I was so
in pain, and it was just like it was over. I was thinking and I
was knowing it before it happened because that was just
like an accident because I was having so much problems was my
feeds. And and I was just like I was knowing so I was getting
this information from my soul. And this is when I'm talking
even to people or my clients. So when things happen in life, do
you remember there was a time before? Are you aware? And I was
aware I was getting that. And I was just like, my ego was so
big. And I was just like, No, I'm just like I can I can do
that. I'm tough enough. No, I'm just like, here, this is my high
point of the of the season. And even just like the age of 31,
it's just like, perfect, you have the knowledge, you have the
routine. And I was just like, in the best shape, I was thinking
best shape ever. So I was just like, in the air and just like,
having this great feeling. And so and then it was just like,
done, and and then my life was starting pretty new. And so
because what we have to understand is just like our body
is our best friend. And if we are not taking care, it will
just like bring you to your knees just like when I had to
sit and to breathe. And I was not to I was not able to do
anything because I was so in pain. Because I didn't pay
attention before I did everything to perform at the
weekend. So I did everything for the team. So I was just like,
because I was so committed, I was so disciplined. And that was
a high price I paid.
So you had to rebuild. You had to pivot, you
had to find something new. So would you do
this is when and I'm so thankful for my spot them
because they were just like saying, Okay, we are putting you
into just like getting in yoga and pilates and getting in the
instruction way. So yoga and pilates was really helping
rebuilding my body system. And really learning just like
different movements. And now it's the knowledge now oh my
goodness, I was training so completely wrong and different
parts. And though yoga and pilates was becoming a part but
even those like learning, who are you without the sports who
are your was being in the newspapers, Mondays, and Sundays
are just like when in your whole life, you are the athlete? Who
are you when when someone is taking everything away from you.
And this is also what happens in Korea ending or if the kids are
out of the house. So who are you when you are losing your
identity in a particularly I've heard so. And I
don't know I totally resonated with because I
have to transition twice in my life from being you know, a
cancer patient back to Howard Brown, you know who went through
it, but I'm not designated in treatment. Now. I'm a survivor,
right. And so I've had to rebuild myself and I call this
putting Humpty Dumpty, the old nursery rhyme back together
again. So people have to do that you have to get back up again
and put yourself back together again. And that's what you had
to do. And then you had some great training, right? Some
amazing training.
I had to relearn everything, everything I was
knowing I had to relearn from head to toe, it was like really
learning new skills, learn how to move how to get out of bed.
And and this is where I can tell you in seven years, you can
rebuild your whole body. You have every single second you
sell productions. And it's about learning the roots of skills.
What does your body need? On the physical way? On the mind part.
So what are the programs you're thinking about yourself, but
also if you're not connected to your soul, you will always get
pushed from the universe to to really become your best version
and express your uniqueness. So that's and this is what I
learned. Today, I say the hard way, but at the end, I'm
thankful for for the experience. And I can and this is where I
want to repoint hope and a different perspective. No matter
what happened in your life. There's always the Golden Nugget
in and we have to find that. And
this you have to find it and you help people do
that. And so when we first met one of the things that resonated
with me when you presented and we met on a networking show,
shout out to Blanca laws of light. And I remember that what
you said is that people have to learn to find their smile. And
that resonated with me and take me through how you know you
developed yoga for face and why your smile matters.
But there are two important questions. So the
one part of my story and I had to leave of my life twice. I
mean, not quite so just but this is where we are very wealthy,
very close to you. So the first part was the athlete where one
of my biggest dream was just like pupping. That was done. So
being athlete was like dreaming them all life, the careers it's
done. And I was just like, we burning everything, my body,
everything was fine. I was having Korea, I was working for
a big company. And then I was thinking, Okay, now it's time I
had everything I want to build family I wanted to like, so I
was thinking having the dream, man. So we were building a
house, wedding was planned, and I was prepared for getting being
a mom. And so that was the final part where my life was giving me
in a different direction, because the wedding never
happened. And I lost the kids very early in the pregnancy. And
that was tough. And this is where, for me today, it's not a
drama, because my kids and even all the experience was helping
to bring yoga for face in the world. And I know that I have a
different perspective of a lot of others have a lot of things
because without this experience, I would not connect so deep to
who I am. And also to become a deeper understanding that we are
more than we can touch. And that our life always lasts and
supports us, even if we are not understanding this in the first
place. So that is the background because I was also trying so
hard. I was also becoming a mother just like being a perfect
wife, just like I was I was trying so hard and being
disciplined. And it's not about that. It's really it's not about
that. And I was my face after all this and pain and trauma
that will showing up in my face. So and this is how I was coming
up with yoga for faith because my face was totally dried. And I
was just like sitting there. And it's I can't believe that this
was happening again that you are losing a dream. And then you
have to be very careful. What is your dream? Or where does this
dream come from. And when we open up, I said my dream of
being a singer dancer. My dream was not being a handball player
and the family part, I have no idea. I mean, I'm turning 50
Now, maybe whatever. So it's just like a number. But I'm here
losing, losing, you have to really to find yourself. And I
had to rebuild my whole body. And then I saw my face. And I
had this morning when I was waking up and I was looking in
the mirror and I was just like shocked. I was 42 I was shocked
that I can't believe that. So because the face my face was so
destroyed. And I was just like, Okay, if I don't like what I see
in the mirror, and I was restarting my life and I was
just like thinking how is this can be just like being unhappy
and for me, so and I really had to deep dive and to become a
deeper understanding. And I was thinking Botox and surgery is
this really what it needs to stay young and beautiful and
shiny and radiant sound that was never getting in my brain
because I was rebuilding I was knowing how to rebuild my body
becoming painfree becoming a new silhouette, just like even just
like designing your body and in your way because a handle
player. It's not the female version. So it's not the Lean
method. It's just like, it's all about just like performing and
muscles. So and I was just like, what else? And then I figured
out okay, there are 43 methods on your face. You can also train
if you can reboot your body, you can also reboot your face and
just like what's showing up your faces your business card, your
business. After your life is showing up. Your life story is
showing up. It's showing up in your face to you love yourself.
Where are you betraying yourself? Where do you try to
fit in a box that is not yours? Are you going for your dreams?
What about your eyes? Are they sparkling? So there are so many
things are you in alignment with who you really are and you are
uniquely made. And you're here for a purpose and you have to
take this very serious. And I'm here this is where we covered
yoga for face because yoga means unfold your uniqueness. It's not
making crazy exercises. It just like unfold your uniqueness and
I was connecting to this philosophy because I was
thinking okay 30 years of knowledge from head to toe
because everything is showing up in your face, if you have pain
in your knees and your lower back, you are just like
everything is once you can separate things. And this is why
I am so not into the surgery and Botox. Because it's it's not
helping you to connect to you to who you really are. So, for this
remodels on your face, you can train them. But if you still
look in the mirror, and you try to find the spots where you are
not perfect, or what you don't like, just like yourself talk is
really what matters. This just showing up your emotions, I
will tell you that. When people look in the
mirror every day, men take a shave women put on makeup, and
many people don't like what they see and what they feel. So I
agree with that. And also, thank you for being so vulnerable and
sharing some of your pain. Because when you get knocked
down, and how you get back up again, did you want to show some
some share the screen and show a few pictures? For me.
Um, yes, of course. So I can share one of my
my pictures. So here, this is my picture.
For those those that are listening only. We're
looking at pictures from about, what, seven years ago.
Yeah, that's seven years ago on the left
side. And what you can see is, first of all the 11 lines, the
11 lines, so maybe you can face your your mirror, there are 11
lines, I have also an accident, so I have a scarf in between. So
this is very just like very prominent and very just like it,
it's really showing up in the middle of the eyebrows. So my
whole skin is very just like not regular, I have deep, narrow
labia thought, even like the lip area is very, not from the
symmetry, it's different. You can see even and this is where
I'm always talking about your smile is important and your
biceps and your face. And we will make maybe a little
exercise we can try. So this is the most important muscles on
your face. And when you don't need the cheek implants, you
just need to train the muscles and then everything is just like
lifting up. So even just like the jawline and the chin area,
even like the nose, you can design your nose because this is
a very soft area, your daily habits can change your nose, so
we can talk about that. So you don't you don't need surgery,
when you try to
live, I have to tell you this is I mean
remarkable because you're using yourself as an example here. But
you look under duress, you look strained, your eyes look heavy.
And you're looking at on screen now and you know you're a
completely refreshed and vibrant look, and you've done it for
yourself. Take this, the sharing down for me if you will, and
we'll come back together. Thank you for sharing that. It's
absolutely incredible. I know you've well written a book about
it, people on your website can see the remarkable change that
people go through. And you make them feel better. And you've you
have 1000s 10,000 clients all over the world that actually go
through your program and all that tell me a little bit about
your program.
So what I just covered is in 30 days we can
really transform your face and also your life. And because the
fraud is it just like learning what your face is expressing.
And the most people have no idea what they express what's your
face specific when you you're talking without words. I always
say your smile will open closed doors. But are you aware about
your smile. So what I'm doing in this 30 Day Program is really
helping you to release your daily stress because on a daily
basis, we have situations where we get challenged even from your
kids from our partners from maybe looking in the mirror in
the morning. So what I'm teaching is how to get ready in
15 minutes in the morning to get out of your house with your best
smile because if you are smiling when you leave the house your
life will changing because the universe and all the people
around you can inspire so if you are open about things are coming
back so this is why I'm focusing on the smile so so much in the
morning. And what we're doing in the study day is really just
like we are learning about our face and When stress is coming,
where it's picking and how to release it, and what I mean by
this is just like I'm sharing schools, what you can do between
your meetings before you get home, what you can do on the
toilet. So and this is on a daily basis, the step by step
program is transforming in an easy and playful way. Because
otherwise it's not working, it's not working. For me, it has to
be easy and playful, and it has to fit in your daily life. So
and we are driving a car, we're going on a toilet, so and 15
minutes in the morning and the evening you should be value
yourself for taking time to love and care. And be kind to
yourself. So and this is what was making the biggest
transition. And this is just like a startup, if you just like
do this, your whole life, your face is changing every day. And
you inspire. So you will get the feedback from the people, even
your kids, maybe the communication is getting better,
because you're not so stressed. Because this is showing up. If
you have a six pack, if you have 11 lines, imagine this is your
third eye, if you're looking the whole way, just like was this 11
line. Oh, you want to see the beauty in life. If you stressed
with a six pack, the whole body is just like, it's
it's amazing. So you change, you change your
face, you change your life, and and you bring your best smile.
So this, we're going to put on our sunglasses and you have
beautiful cool blue sunglasses just for the show. And we're
going to do the shining brightly spotlight on you, Renee
Esserman, and yoga for face. And I want to tell people how they
should get in touch with you how they can find out about your
course, and your book, and then leave us with some inspiration
as we close out the show.
Okay, so yoga mat number four facebook.com.
That's my website. And I invite you, I'm always open for
introduction call to talk about your situation and how I can
support you. But you can also jump in the 30 day program that
we will share this link. And if you just like want to take a
piece before my book, yoga phase, it doesn't it says an
ebook on Amazon. So we also just like sharing this link. And just
like I remind you, your smile matters. Specific when you look
in the mirror, and this year is the master you can train and now
I give you a little bit an idea. Take a pencil.
We got to do this quickly. I gotta get a pencil or
a pen here and a pen for now. Yes, got it
and put it between your teeth.
Okay.
And relax. Okay. Yeah. And breathe, breathe,
breathe. No, just like state.
That's just like how to talk when? Okay,
Renee, you're asking a podcaster that speaks
to put a pencil in their mouth to close out the show. But I get
it. There's an exercise there where you're clenching on the
pencil that's working out that muscle, so I got it. So it's
beautiful. Thank you for that interactive part of exercise.
Well, listen, looking in the mirror, your smile, it's your
business card, you can help people and you lift them up and
make them feel better about themselves in so many ways. So

cancer world, and then also my interfaith world to love thy
neighbor and, and understand the other in this world that we live
in today. So and go watch the Olympics and go learn about
handball as well. So just remember, if we choose to use
our smile, and also shine brightly, just a little bit each
day for ourselves, and then go lift up others. We become a
force multiplier for good and positive change. And we do make
this world a better place. Rene Esserman Thank you yoga for
