Hello fellow travelers in the universe,

Isabel Alexander:

welcome back to Lift As You Climb.

Isabel Alexander:

Today I'm inviting you to join on a very personal and intimate part of my day.

Isabel Alexander:

My days that begin with a walk just before sunrise, so that I can reach

Isabel Alexander:

a certain part of my trip, and watch the sun come up over the water.

Isabel Alexander:

Just fill my whole being with a sense of gratitude, for what is possible,

Isabel Alexander:

every single day when we get up, have faith, take action, and believe

Isabel Alexander:

that what we think about, what we purposefully do, we can achieve.

Isabel Alexander:

My morning walks begin calculated so that I'll get to that point just

Isabel Alexander:

before the sun is above the horizon.

Isabel Alexander:

I prepare myself for that experience, by thinking about

Isabel Alexander:

what I want to get out of it...

Isabel Alexander:

How I will be fully present, and feel all of my senses, and to be present and

Isabel Alexander:

aware of the glorious abundance around me, and the experience that I am having.

Isabel Alexander:

It's also a time that I repeat an affirmation that I wrote many

Isabel Alexander:

years ago, and I continue to use to keep me moving forward...

Isabel Alexander:

Lifting me up, so that I can always be better me today than I was yesterday.

Isabel Alexander:

So come along and I'll share with you the process that I use.

Isabel Alexander:

I encourage you to take that and customize it, and make it

Isabel Alexander:

uniquely your own experience.

Isabel Alexander:

Get out there in the world, appreciate everything in nature and abundance

Isabel Alexander:

around you, and keep moving...

Isabel Alexander:

Because that's the secret to staying vibrant and vital in life.

Isabel Alexander:

As I begin my walk, I think about how I am grateful for all of my

Isabel Alexander:

senses, and how they contribute to my experience of the day.

Isabel Alexander:

I think about sight, as one of the 6 senses.

Isabel Alexander:

That I have the power to expand my own vision for...

Isabel Alexander:

What I see...

Isabel Alexander:

What's in front of me on the screen in the moment that I'm in and in the future

Isabel Alexander:

that I desire to recognize, to actually see the abundance and the possibilities

Isabel Alexander:

that are right there for me to access.

Isabel Alexander:

I try to be conscious of sound.

Isabel Alexander:

Sounds of nature...

Isabel Alexander:

Even the traffic and humanity around me.

Isabel Alexander:

It's all relevant to anchoring me to my place in time in this universe.

Isabel Alexander:

I hear nature sounds around me.

Isabel Alexander:

I hear the call of my future.

Isabel Alexander:

But I am conscious, that I can hear and I am grateful for that.

Isabel Alexander:

Smell.

Isabel Alexander:

Oh, again, so important to anchor me into where I am and who I am.

Isabel Alexander:

And inhale, the fragrances around me.

Isabel Alexander:

Nature, humanity...

Isabel Alexander:

All of it...

Isabel Alexander:

It's real.

Isabel Alexander:

I'm blessed to live in a beautiful environment surrounded by trees and

Isabel Alexander:

leaves and lakes, and autumn smells, and moisture, and muskiness...

Isabel Alexander:

And even the tang of the lake water that's in the air.

Isabel Alexander:

I am grateful that I can smell.

Isabel Alexander:

Taste is that most tactile, often a forgotten sense because the tastes and the

Isabel Alexander:

textures of our life anchor our memories.

Isabel Alexander:

Think back to a time with your grandmother, or a celebration, or one

Isabel Alexander:

of the most joyful times of your life.

Isabel Alexander:

There's always a taste memory that will come back with that, if you allow it.

Isabel Alexander:

If you cultivate that sense.

Isabel Alexander:

For me I can taste the air, and I can taste again, everything

Isabel Alexander:

that has been good in my life.

Isabel Alexander:

The fifth of the recognized senses is touch, and for me, I'm

Isabel Alexander:

touching consciously, feeling my feet touch the pavement, touch

Isabel Alexander:

the grass, touch the ground.

Isabel Alexander:

Anchoring me into the present, on my walk.

Isabel Alexander:

Anchoring me into feeling connected to the universe, and safe with

Isabel Alexander:

each step as I move forward.

Isabel Alexander:

Very grateful again that I have this physical ability to move, and

Isabel Alexander:

continue to work to do that every day.

Isabel Alexander:

I've another way to celebrate touch...

Isabel Alexander:

And that is I love to touch trees.

Isabel Alexander:

I feel the energy palpable when I put my arms around a tree or I lean my forehead

Isabel Alexander:

against the tree and just thank it for its beauty, it's strength, it's resilience,

Isabel Alexander:

and it's reminder to me to be grounded in all of my activities during the day.

Isabel Alexander:

Now, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention a sixth sense that I always count onto

Isabel Alexander:

accompany me on my walking meditation, my sunrise walk, and that is, The sense

Isabel Alexander:

of intuition and imagination, because that's when my mind is really working and

Isabel Alexander:

creating and setting aside any doubts, or limiting beliefs or negative self-talk.

Isabel Alexander:

Being present with that sixth sense of allowing for possibilities, makes

Isabel Alexander:

for an extraordinarily uplifting walk.

Isabel Alexander:

I would like to share with you, my walking meditation...

Isabel Alexander:

My walking affirmation.

Isabel Alexander:
