Welcome to the Lift As You Climb podcast, where it's all about the
journey and the joy of discovering who you are now, deciding who you want
to become, and embracing your genuine identity, influence, and impact.
In each episode, we'll explore how life's experiences have prepared us for what
we choose to do next and how to create our Encore, write our own script, and
star in the next stage of our lives.
I'm your host, your Encore strategist, and transformation catalyst, Isabel Alexander.
Hello and goodbye.
Today, I am recording the last episode of the Lift As You Climb podcast.
This is not an end, but it is a beginning.
But let me explain more about that a little later.
First, let's talk a little bit about what we've experienced and what we've
shared together in the past three years.
105 episodes of this podcast have proceeded today.
It's been an incredible journey and an incredible season of my life as
we've shared times that affected all of us, changing what we believe about
ourselves and the world and learning to become more of the best of us.
And isn't that what Lift As You Climb is all about?
What it was always intended to be and what it will continue to be.
But this podcast is coming to an end.
And a brand new one is born out of those three years of living, becoming more
of myself and learning more about who I want to be, , what I want more of.
We've talked a lot about figuring ourselves out and really leaning into
the wisdom of who we are as women.
Decades and decades of transformation, reinvention backing up, going forward,
and with all of that, even though some of it was uncomfortable at times,
perhaps even painful for some of us, there was also a great deal of good that
happened for all of us in learning more about ourselves and how to build our
own success ladders and be confident in the choices that we're making because
we've come to know more about ourselves.
And of course, for me, it's not about just having my own success,
but collaboration, the power, in fact, I believe the responsibility
of giving a hand up to others.
Based on our own experience and our own wisdom, we empower others
to build their own success ladder.
Economic independence and empowerment for women, girls, families will
always be a part of who I am and what validates my existence
through this journey called life.
That's why I've shared with you my own personal story, , the anguish and the
joy of growing up into my 40s, 50s, 60s, and now, approaching my 70th
birthday, figuring out as I traveled through this womanhood wonderland,
really what is it all about, Alfie?
What's important to me?
What's no longer important?
Evolution is a really necessary healthy part of our journey, because if we stop
trying to figure out who we are, if we figure that we have expired, and there
is an episode about what's your expiry date, then nothing really matters.
Not only have I been able to share my own experiences with you, the good, the bad,
the ugly, and the, oh, my goddess, did not expect that to happen to me, but I've
also been able to bring to you and share the wisdom, the laughter, the tears, the
education from some incredible guests that helped us look at how Age is just a number
that is really a stereotype, and really, what the hell, we get to choose how much
more life we're going to have in our time, and really what those numbers mean to us.
I've celebrated birthdays with you, and I will continue for a long time,
I've celebrated women that shattered barriers, were the original
gangsters, who were Forbes authors, shared the stage with Oprah.
I've talked about women business coaches and authors, speakers, and really badass
entrepreneurs, all of whom share in common the fact that they were on this
journey of figuring out who they were in their encore periods of life -not
singular, but multiple encores, which is what we can only hope to aspire.
And they were willing to share their own experiences generously,
authentically with you and me.
And we talked about, how women impact the economy and how
we do things so differently.
Born out of this experience of learning to podcast and learning to be a YouTuber
and being able to share with you my life's purpose, which is defined by the
title of this podcast, Lift As You Climb, I've had this opportunity to grow along
with you and really challenge myself to sit in this uncomfortable place
in front of you and reveal the truth.
I don't have all the answers, but I'm not going to stop investigating.
On this journey of Lift As You Climb, what I've learned is there are so
many of you out there that get that.
That want more of that, that understanding that our life has purpose
and our life has meaning only if we are able to decide on what our legacy
is and to live it and direct it and influence it now while we are alive.
And during that, as we learn more and become more of ourselves and lift
ourselves, We are also able then to reach back to our sisters, other women,
other people, and by example, show them that it's really worth making the
effort to go through the metamorphosis, to make the difficult transformations
and transitions in life, always in search of, okay, Who am I now?
And who is this next best version of myself?
As a result, what I've decided is I really feel most impassioned, most empowered,
as someone who can lift myself and help others lift themselves with my focus
on women of a certain age, women like myself, in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and
beyond, who are the small and medium sized women business owners of the world, who
have an amazing impact on economies, not only their own, their families and their
employees and their contractors and their circles of influence in their community.
And those circles keep getting bigger and bigger because we are, we
ebb out into the universe with our influence as women entrepreneurs.
and that's why I recognize, I had a fabulous season of three years with
Lift As You Climb, being more general in terms of, let's talk about identity,
let's figure out the ways that we as women show up as the best version
of ourselves, and showcase other entrepreneurs, other women, other leaders,
that give us examples as trailblazers to model ourselves after, or just to
spark another idea, which is totally different of our own, but understand,
oh gosh, we all have so much in common.
Every single one of the people that I've interviewed on this show will share, they
suffer from identity crisis, imposter syndrome, pivoting decisions in their
life, relationships up and down overcoming the beliefs and Paradigms of the Past.
This is what's important for all of you to hear and know.
You're not alone.
We are all going on this human journey and growing on this human journey together.
And so today I'm growing again.
I am stretching a new set of butterfly wings.
I've come out of my cocoon of thinking for a while.
That's why there haven't been a lot of episodes lately, because
I've been thinking what do I think is important to me now?
And that is a new focus and a new show which is launching next week.
And so if you're here subscribed to my channel now, you're automatically going
to receive the announcement about the new show and about the new season, and why
it is so frigging exciting and wonderful that we are here as collaborative lifters
and climbers together and that we're ready to launch into a new frontier.

Follow us on social media because we're going to be announcing the launch of a
new podcast and a new YouTube channel that specifically is about what I
think is the most important community that I can be part of and that I can
make a contribution to in the next season of my life and perhaps yours,
and that together collectively our wisdom will have significant impact
and our legacies will be even more influential, impactful, and a hell of
a lot of fun while we are here present on this earth to live and enjoy them.
Thank you for your support, your interest.
The episodes of the past three years don't go away and there's rich,
juicy, sassy content in all of them.
This opportunity to again grow with you and you never know who we're
going to interview, who we're going to discover, but if you stay tuned
and find out about the show, you may know in fact, you may be someone that
