Today we are talking mental and emotional health, particularly managing emotions within the household as a family unity. Some of us grew up in households where emotions ran very high. We were not taught how to regulate our emotions, nor how to remedy and recover from incidents that involved emotional outbursts. As parents now, our wish is to raise emotionally intelligent children.
How will you teach your child the skills for emotional literacy, self-awareness, social awareness, emotional regulation and agility? For those of you who have acquired these skills, you’ve probably done so through your own healing and personal development work.
Our guest today, Jennifer Hazan, has created a learn at home program called Cam and Leo’s Emotion School, that you can do with your children to help your family build these skills and transform the way you interact with each other and with the world. Listen to learn more!

About Our Guest:
Jennifer Hazan is Founder & CEO of Cam & Leo's Emotion School, a unique experiential educational tool, rooted in the core principles of psychoanalytic and behavioural therapies, that tackles the mental health of the household unit. Household members gain awareness and control over the murky interior world of their emotions to unlock success, fulfilment, and joy in all areas of life: academic, professional, social, and interpersonal.
This unique approach not only transforms the household; its impact is intergenerational, as emotionally equipped children grow to become emotionally equipped adults and parents. Participants build emotional literacy, self-awareness, social awareness, emotional regulation, emotional intelligence, and emotional agility and transform the way they interact with each other and with the world. Best of all... they have fun doing it!
This program was created in collaboration with Jenny who wrote the program and Dr. Avi Gordon, a clinical psychologist based in Florida and curriculum specialist Talia Osiel in Toronto. Beta testing is being run through a research project being facilitated by Dr. Lauren Saling at RMIT University in Australia.
