Saylor Cooper:

far. Yeah.

Mark Sedgwick:

What's going on guys? We're back with the shine

Mark Sedgwick:

Podcast. I'm interviewing some new folks. Also. I got Hattie

Mark Sedgwick:

here with me. And I got Jason who I just met on the piano. I

Mark Sedgwick:

heard him playing some beautiful music. So I was like, I'd love

Mark Sedgwick:

to highlight him as well. So Hattie, tell us a little bit

Mark Sedgwick:

about yourself. Who are you? And what's your mission?

Hatti Harmeson:

Who am I? Well, I'm a child of a king. I must

Hatti Harmeson:

say that and I enjoy music. I love praise and worship. Yes.

Hatti Harmeson:

Beautiful. Actually, I was supposed to be a Boys and

Hatti Harmeson:

worship on Sunday, and I missed this convention. Okay. Yeah, but

Hatti Harmeson:

I love I love I love praise and worship. And I'm my passion is

Hatti Harmeson:

baking. I bake cook. My passion is cooking. I love to cook, I

Hatti Harmeson:

love to cook, I would go to sleep and be like, Okay, God,

Hatti Harmeson:

what kind of dish can I come up with to be different, you know?

Hatti Harmeson:

So I was baking cookies one day, and I was like, these cookies

Hatti Harmeson:

again. They gourmet. I'm gonna make some gourmet cookies. So

Hatti Harmeson:

yeah, I just want to add in little different things into the

Hatti Harmeson:

cookies. And then I'm like, okay, okay, God, I need a new

Hatti Harmeson:

cookie right now, you know. And now we'll start off with a

Hatti Harmeson:

cookie. And then I talked to people and one guy said, well, I

Hatti Harmeson:

need you to make a cookie for me. I need you to make a peanut

Hatti Harmeson:

butter cookie and drop some chocolate chips in it. So I'm

Hatti Harmeson:

like, okay, okay, so it was a heat and people start liking it.

Hatti Harmeson:

Then my little brother said, Well, I want you to try

Hatti Harmeson:

something different. I want you to get the cookie and chocolate.

Hatti Harmeson:

So then when I did it, he was like, oh, but he got this taste.

Hatti Harmeson:

What's the candy was like I said Butterfinger? He say Yeah, but

Hatti Harmeson:

you got to give it a different shape. So I'm like, Okay, God, I

Hatti Harmeson:

don't have no Butter fingers shape paying. What am I gonna

Hatti Harmeson:

do? So I made that I rolled the dough up smaller. And then I

Hatti Harmeson:

shaped it as a log. I wrote it as a law. Oh, wow. So when it

Hatti Harmeson:

came out date, it was like a little loud. So I took the log,

Hatti Harmeson:

and I dipped it into chocolate. Now my butter finger cookie. I

Hatti Harmeson:

said I thought he was like, Yeah, but the only thing I'm

Hatti Harmeson:

trying to figure out. How can I keep the chocolate on the candy

Hatti Harmeson:

when it's hot? Right, cuz I gotta keep it cool. So after I

Hatti Harmeson:

baked it, I put it in the icebox and I made it cool. And it's

Hatti Harmeson:

stuck right there, too. It's just that if I mail it to

Hatti Harmeson:

somebody, I just don't know how long it's gonna last me to track

Hatti Harmeson:

it. So I might have to do a troubleshoot and send it to

Hatti Harmeson:

somebody and tell them to champion TV stay on that. But I

Hatti Harmeson:

love baking. I bake all kinds of cookies. And it's just a I don't

Hatti Harmeson:

know.

Mark Sedgwick:

That's awesome. So you, you've gotten real

Mark Sedgwick:

creative with it after you've gotten inspiration from your

Mark Sedgwick:

family is so cool. That's a beautiful thing. And so, before

Mark Sedgwick:

we continue with you, Jason, tell me about you tell me about

Mark Sedgwick:

what do you do? And maybe a little bit about your origin

Mark Sedgwick:

story.

Jason Sprigs:

Sure. Growing up, I kind of have more introverted

Jason Sprigs:

kid. I didn't really know. But do you want to blind the story a

Mark Sedgwick:

little please? Yes, whatever. As deep as you

Mark Sedgwick:

want to go, my man I'm pulling the camera a little closer so we

Mark Sedgwick:

can hear your story better.

Jason Sprigs:

So yeah, growing up, I was interested in a lot of

Jason Sprigs:

video games, a lot of skateboarding and did a lot of

Jason Sprigs:

independent things. Because I just I really know I really know

Jason Sprigs:

how to really put myself out there. It was my older brother

Jason Sprigs:

that was the more social so you know, as that grew I got into

Jason Sprigs:

graphic design and I got into painting I began to camera work

Jason Sprigs:

all these different things. I even did a little bit did some

Jason Sprigs:

YouTube videos there now in no time. This was all before

Jason Sprigs:

blindness, then when the hit is about five years ago, and yeah,

Jason Sprigs:

I got the, you know, I was going to get new glasses, yeah came up

Jason Sprigs:

as astigmatism. It was misdiagnosed Semitism it turned

Jason Sprigs:

out to be RP, retinitis pigmentosa be specific. So I

Jason Sprigs:

pretty much that year, had to regroup and rethink what I was

Jason Sprigs:

going to do. So, you know, through that, that year, 2018 I

Jason Sprigs:

spent time, you know, just really looking at the lifestyle

Jason Sprigs:

I lived, it wasn't healthiest lifestyle. And I checked and I

Jason Sprigs:

just took the time to really self assess and get, you know,

Jason Sprigs:

get support, the head the rules of the department Rehabilitation

Jason Sprigs:

Centre, over in Maryland, or doors for short. They helped me

Jason Sprigs:

out of support groups and all that. And then by the end of the

Jason Sprigs:

year, I made a decision to pursue psychology. And something

Jason Sprigs:

else I picked up you mentioned, yeah, the piano work. That was

Jason Sprigs:

something I did on off, but I wasn't as committed. And then

Jason Sprigs:

once I actually I had to rethink what I had to do that year. That

Jason Sprigs:

was the only thing that didn't get taken away from me. There

Jason Sprigs:

was the only thing that didn't change too much. Was was music

Jason Sprigs:

so I put more time into music. I called up my piano teacher and

Jason Sprigs:

and that was it. So right now I'm pursuing psychology and

Jason Sprigs:

music at the same time.

Mark Sedgwick:

Wow, psychology and music. You know, I want to

Mark Sedgwick:

ask you guys, have you guys ever heard of the Alzheimer's stuff

Mark Sedgwick:

with music and, and how it reawakens the brain and can can

Mark Sedgwick:

really help out a lot with Alzheimer's? Have you? Have you

Mark Sedgwick:

ever heard of that? Jason,

Jason Sprigs:

I've heard that.

Hatti Harmeson:

I haven't heard about it with all times what I

Hatti Harmeson:

have heard about with autism. Because a good friend of mine,

Hatti Harmeson:

she has a son that deals with autism. And he has become very,

Hatti Harmeson:

very, very good with the piano. And I mean, it's like when he

Hatti Harmeson:

seems like he gets upset you say okay, go to your piano. He gets

Hatti Harmeson:

a play and playing playing so he loves it. Calm. Sam is a piece

Hatti Harmeson:

thing for him.

Jason Sprigs:

Yes. Funny enough. I work I worked with previously

Jason Sprigs:

I've known for last year been working with autistic students.

Jason Sprigs:

That's kind of my journey that they go into will go into the

Jason Sprigs:

life mission thing. Yeah, that that was that was a group I was

Jason Sprigs:

working with. And I was able to learn about autism. It is just

Jason Sprigs:

it's a different way that their brain is working. And they will

Jason Sprigs:

they will have these amazing skills and whether it be Yep.

Jason Sprigs:

Yeah. You said for music, whether it be memorising

Jason Sprigs:

different trains and train tracks, there is a different

Jason Sprigs:

they just happen to have it's like a certain fascination,

Jason Sprigs:

which turns into a gift of information or knowledge or

Jason Sprigs:

ability. And so that's really what that's that's really what's

Jason Sprigs:

seen with a lot of people within within certain areas, that

Jason Sprigs:

spectrum. But yeah, other than that, yeah, that reawakening of

Jason Sprigs:

music, I can see how it were with was just singing about how

Jason Sprigs:

I got back into it because I wasn't as motivated. But then

Jason Sprigs:

the more I looked at, I took away as I mentioned, I admit, I

Jason Sprigs:

made a lot of lifestyle choices. Yeah, I changed me more of a

Jason Sprigs:

motivation to be better at music.

Mark Sedgwick:

Yes, that's amazing. My man wit, you know

Mark Sedgwick:

that this is kind of, I kind of want to take this opportunity.

Mark Sedgwick:

I'm going to set the camera back down so I can tell a little

Mark Sedgwick:

story about my testimony, my journey in my life and

Mark Sedgwick:

overcoming things that I have maybe fell short myself. Just

Mark Sedgwick:

whenever I was getting out of high school, I you know, my

Mark Sedgwick:

origin story is my grandma Teresa. She was real biblical,

Mark Sedgwick:

very, really was a you know, a soldier of God. And, and she

Mark Sedgwick:

really told me a lot of biblical stories growing up. And so I had

Mark Sedgwick:

lots of good seeds. She always told me about the enemy and his

Mark Sedgwick:

schemes and his traps. And I always listened because I really

Mark Sedgwick:

respected my grandma. And I'll say, okay, all right. She said,

Mark Sedgwick:

Don't ever touch drugs. And I said, Okay, grandma, and I

Mark Sedgwick:

always took that advice. I never touched drugs, all the way up

Mark Sedgwick:

until senior year of high school, I touch nothing. I was

Mark Sedgwick:

just a cross country check athlete, did that stuff with

Mark Sedgwick:

that. But then I had some friends that started dabbling in

Mark Sedgwick:

marijuana and drugs. And I would always say, No, I'm good. I'm

Mark Sedgwick:

good. I'm over. I'm running. I'm focused on on other things, man,

Mark Sedgwick:

I'll do that. I'll go play basketball with y'all. But I'm

Mark Sedgwick:

not touching it. So I didn't touch it. But eventually, I got

Mark Sedgwick:

I got finished with tracking cross country. And I sort of

Mark Sedgwick:

gave into peer pressure. I got curious I guess and maybe it's

Mark Sedgwick:

not so bad. They're not, you know, drooling out of the mouth

Mark Sedgwick:

or anything. So maybe it's safe to try it. That marijuana stuff.

Mark Sedgwick:

So I did I tried it once. And to make a long story short, wants

Mark Sedgwick:

to Every once in a blue moon turned into once a week, once a

Mark Sedgwick:

week turned into once a day, once a day turned into every

Mark Sedgwick:

hour, I might have been smoking at the peak of it. And so I was

Mark Sedgwick:

wasting all my money all my time, my relationships were

Mark Sedgwick:

going downhill. And the purpose that I had been called to by God

Mark Sedgwick:

was slowly falling away, I was getting distanced from the

Mark Sedgwick:

righteous path from the right path, and I was supposed to be

Mark Sedgwick:

walking on. And, and then, you know, tragedy kept happening

Mark Sedgwick:

thing, I was realising I can't make any excuses to keep on

Mark Sedgwick:

smoking. And it kept being whispered in the back of my

Mark Sedgwick:

mind. You know, this could be better, I couldn't go to the

Mark Sedgwick:

movies, this could be better. I couldn't go to the gym. If I was

Mark Sedgwick:

smoking weed, then I could go. But otherwise, I would always be

Mark Sedgwick:

thinking this could be better if I was just under the influence.

Mark Sedgwick:

But that was just a trap. That was just deception. I was I was

Mark Sedgwick:

stuck into addiction. And about two and a half, three years ago,

Mark Sedgwick:

I said a prayer my my house was falling apart. I was living in a

Mark Sedgwick:

hotel because we had a giant water leak. And I say, I prayed

Mark Sedgwick:

to God, I said, God, please take this desire away from me. I'm

Mark Sedgwick:

done. I don't want to do it anymore. I keep quitting and

Mark Sedgwick:

coming back to because I keep making excuses. I keep getting

Mark Sedgwick:

deceived together some but I really needed the armour of God,

Mark Sedgwick:

and a psychological change, to conquer this addiction. And so

Mark Sedgwick:

the natural, yes, spiritual, supernatural, I needed help from

Mark Sedgwick:

my father, my heavenly Father. So I pray please take the desire

Mark Sedgwick:

away from me in about a month of fighting and slowing down. It

Mark Sedgwick:

was gone forever. And it's been done for about two and a half,

Mark Sedgwick:

three years now. And I've been delivered. So praise the Lord

Mark Sedgwick:

for that. And yeah, man, I don't know if that connects with your

Mark Sedgwick:

story. But you reminded me Jason of what I went through about

Mark Sedgwick:

three years ago. And anything come to mind, Jason, you want to

Mark Sedgwick:

share anything?

Jason Sprigs:

That yeah, for me, I had a similar thing, because I

Jason Sprigs:

felt when the blind has happened, part of me felt it was

Jason Sprigs:

consequence that I was being punished for living a life that

Jason Sprigs:

you know, and not, because I felt very disconnected from the

Jason Sprigs:

people around me. I didn't know it until after I was very

Jason Sprigs:

disconnected from family. I was very connected, very

Jason Sprigs:

disconnected from childhood friends, things like that, like

Jason Sprigs:

love. And then. But after, I'd say there was a time, it was

Jason Sprigs:

much it was my biological father, and also a spiritual

Jason Sprigs:

father, as well, I go to church myself on Sundays. And it was a

Jason Sprigs:

mix of it was those two and God was telling me that there was

Jason Sprigs:

another there was another path that I didn't know, that was

Jason Sprigs:

coming from me. And there was there was going to be a group of

Jason Sprigs:

people I was going to meet that was going to push me in that

Jason Sprigs:

path. And for me, this for me, my calling. For going too late

Jason Sprigs:

on this no call got time brother, it feels like calling

Jason Sprigs:

for me is to bring up young brothers that were in a similar

Jason Sprigs:

spot than me, that are very introverted, that closed

Jason Sprigs:

themselves off walking on food. They went to went to the video

Jason Sprigs:

games, phones, all that I was in that world for a bit, yes. And

Jason Sprigs:

now now that I'm out, I've found more fulfilment now and talking

Jason Sprigs:

to people and connecting with people, you know, whatever their

Jason Sprigs:

views are, I mean, they don't gotta believe what I believe.

Jason Sprigs:

But as long as they understand, you know, the, the, the

Jason Sprigs:

understand the gist that we need as a society in general just to,

Jason Sprigs:

to build into repair to heal all those things, in order for us to

Jason Sprigs:

be better as a people. And that just that just really calls to

Jason Sprigs:

what I want to do. So that's basically how I got I got here

Jason Sprigs:

through through a summer programme. Working with blind

Jason Sprigs:

with blind youth, because I went to a training centre, blindness,

Jason Sprigs:

free services, Maryland. I went over there, I got training for

Jason Sprigs:

about 11 months, I didn't falter I just knew I had to get the

Jason Sprigs:

skills I needed so that I can help others. This in what I'm

Jason Sprigs:

doing now working with a lot of kids that were in my position,

Jason Sprigs:

or maybe a certain maybe it's similar but different position.

Jason Sprigs:

I'm giving back here.

Mark Sedgwick:

You sir. You're called brother you are called.

Mark Sedgwick:

That's amazing.

Hatti Harmeson:

I've just recently just listened to you

Hatti Harmeson:

play. I bought a piano. Amazingly, I just graduated with

Hatti Harmeson:

a commercial music performance degree. And while I've been

Hatti Harmeson:

there, I played the piano just enough to get by. And as I do

Hatti Harmeson:

praise and worship every Sunday, as I'm singing, I'm standing

Hatti Harmeson:

just working my fingers working my fingers. And I'm like, Okay,

Hatti Harmeson:

God, I need Suvarna natural because I gotta do this thing

Hatti Harmeson:

because one go with the other. And I keep telling myself I'm

Hatti Harmeson:

gonna play I'm gonna play and I keep being prophesied to that,

Hatti Harmeson:

you know, my singing this was gonna get me through this I got

Hatti Harmeson:

to be my cook. And even though I cook and you know, I do some

Hatti Harmeson:

things that can be on store level, but it was prophesied to

Hatti Harmeson:

me is that my singing this was gonna bring me through. And I

Hatti Harmeson:

just say it's not going to just be singing, it's going to be my

Hatti Harmeson:

worship. Yeah. And I tell you, even when I cook, I have young

Hatti Harmeson:

ladies come up to me that want the microwave worker, that quick

Hatti Harmeson:

food, Natalie's babies, and it's like, I'm cooking so that I can

Hatti Harmeson:

teach them so I can tell them. And I was telling my pastor not

Hatti Harmeson:

long ago that I'm in a period of my life where I'm moving from, I

Hatti Harmeson:

can't, to I can. I'm having a period of transformation,

Hatti Harmeson:

application and perseverance. And I say I want to start this

Hatti Harmeson:

new support group called tap. And, you know, yeah, I tap with

Hatti Harmeson:

my cane, but they need to know, tears will transfer information

Hatti Harmeson:

and you can only be transferred, transformed. When you renew your

Hatti Harmeson:

mind and you got to renew your mind, in order to know that you

Hatti Harmeson:

can do something different. You don't have to be stuck into

Hatti Harmeson:

those that left fear that saying, Oh, it's alright. It's

Hatti Harmeson:

okay. You could do you see, when you know that, right, you're

Hatti Harmeson:

telling, you know, it's gonna be hard. But you can press forward.

Hatti Harmeson:

You can you can persevere, you know? Yes. Open up your mouth

Hatti Harmeson:

and advocate for yourself. Don't listen to, oh, you don't need to

Hatti Harmeson:

do that. Or you can't do that. Oh, they're blind. They should

Hatti Harmeson:

go You blind. You need to sit down. Are you blind? You need to

Hatti Harmeson:

let somebody else do that. Being able to say no, I can't do it

Hatti Harmeson:

for myself. I might take 15 minutes to get you down the

Hatti Harmeson:

street, when there's I go with you is only gonna take me five.

Hatti Harmeson:

But it's not how I get there. As long as I get there. Yes. And

Hatti Harmeson:

get there the safe way. And once I realised, okay, I can't do

Hatti Harmeson:

this here. You know, I can persevere, I can push forward.

Hatti Harmeson:

Because when I went to LCB, Louisiana centre for the blind.

Hatti Harmeson:

I left two children home, one in high school, one in college, and

Hatti Harmeson:

I was gone for nine months, didn't have no family, no

Hatti Harmeson:

friends, and I said, Okay, God, I'm not gonna do this. Yeah. And

Hatti Harmeson:

it was just like, Okay, I'm there. I'm there. I'm there. I'm

Hatti Harmeson:

there. I'm there. And each day, I got out to go do my mobility

Hatti Harmeson:

training. I said, Okay, Jesus, man, you just mean you. And he

Hatti Harmeson:

took me from point A to point B to point C and back and says,

Hatti Harmeson:

and just that one day, I got to go to school. And I walked to

Hatti Harmeson:

the edge of the driveway. And it was me and two of my friends.

Hatti Harmeson:

And I stepped off the edge in the street. And before they can

Hatti Harmeson:

say some I heard the car, and I made up our face, but I didn't

Hatti Harmeson:

hit the curb fast enough. Both feet in both hands was in the

Hatti Harmeson:

air was hit by the car. But I began to pray. And I was in my

Hatti Harmeson:

prayer language. And I said God, nothing missing nothing broken.

Hatti Harmeson:

I will be okay. I got above the ground they put they put me on

Hatti Harmeson:

the stretcher. And To God be the glory. I had no broken bones. No

Hatti Harmeson:

scratches. I had a bruise. Yeah, I was so but nothing was

Hatti Harmeson:

missing. Nothing was broken and the weapon a prosper. Okay, the

Hatti Harmeson:

weapon did that. I you know, I even had a shot to say, Oh, you

Hatti Harmeson:

need to go home, had it come back after you heal. Because I

Hatti Harmeson:

was sore. I had a cane for a few weeks. But I'm just like, if I

Hatti Harmeson:

go home, I'm not coming back. I say I'm here for a reason. And

Hatti Harmeson:

so I stayed and I pressed and I pushed. And I persevered. And I

Hatti Harmeson:

graduated from LCB with my training skills. And I was just

Hatti Harmeson:

like God, who would have thought you took me to another city in

Hatti Harmeson:

another state. I walked miles and miles and miles with no

Hatti Harmeson:

sight with no vision with nothing, but God is meeting you.

Hatti Harmeson:

And he took me from there back home safe and one piece. And

Hatti Harmeson:

people be like, I don't think you could do it. But I did all

Hatti Harmeson:

that to come back home and tell somebody, Hey, I was 45. And I

Hatti Harmeson:

left two children at home. And I went to get what I needed to be

Hatti Harmeson:

able to move forward. And I come back. And I was still stuck.

Hatti Harmeson:

Because I felt like oh, I still can't do it. I still can't do

Hatti Harmeson:

it. I let people say oh, you can't do it. Well, what you

Hatti Harmeson:

gonna do? How are you gonna do it? You know? And I'm just like,

Hatti Harmeson:

Why did I get the train and if I can't do it, so I had to come

Hatti Harmeson:

out and get that mindset, okay, transform your mind. Don't be

Hatti Harmeson:

conformed to the world telling you you can't do it. Be

Hatti Harmeson:

transformed by the renewing of your mind saying yes, I can do

Hatti Harmeson:

it. And so that's why I'm at now I just want to have a new

Hatti Harmeson:

mindset and know that hey, just because this person say no, you

Hatti Harmeson:

may have three or four knows. But that one yes. That one. Yes.

Hatti Harmeson:

You know, it doesn't matter. And I tell you what, every since I

Hatti Harmeson:

say God this day I choose to say yes, so many doors have been

Hatti Harmeson:

opening. Yes, I've been getting so many blessings on each side.

Hatti Harmeson:

And I'm just like, God, you said you're gonna do it. But this

Hatti Harmeson:

right here what I mean, and then to be for you, and then to smile

Hatti Harmeson:

for you. I'm just waiting for it to manifest. But he's already

Hatti Harmeson:

done that he's already done.

Mark Sedgwick:

Yes, His will be done in our lives. And I you

Mark Sedgwick:

know what ever since I leaned on God, my life these past three

Mark Sedgwick:

years, the trajectory has changed. So I'm so grateful to

Mark Sedgwick:

have interviewed you guys. Jason, I know that this is no

Mark Sedgwick:

coincidence that I ran into you, man, that you were sharing your

Mark Sedgwick:

gift, and that we were able to highlight it, I got a video you

Mark Sedgwick:

play. So I'm gonna put that right here on this clip, as

Mark Sedgwick:

well. So may God continue to work in your life, Jason, you

Mark Sedgwick:

want to share anything with the people watching maybe those

Mark Sedgwick:

youth that that you might be training up, I'm sure they're

Mark Sedgwick:

gonna be watching this video at some point. So well,

Jason Sprigs:

basically, I'm kind of, I'm kind of

Jason Sprigs:

establishing a body of work at the moment. And working with,

Jason Sprigs:

you know, blind industries and other organisations. I'm

Jason Sprigs:

currently in gonna go into my senior college. And after that,

Jason Sprigs:

I'm going to work for the Peace Corps. I'm gonna see if I can

Jason Sprigs:

reach out and nationally in a way, but yeah, what I can say

Jason Sprigs:

now is you're going to need to get to a point to where you need

Jason Sprigs:

to do things for you. Because you, it's nice to have support.

Jason Sprigs:

But you have to have that want to have that support within

Jason Sprigs:

yourself, to support yourself to sustain yourself. Whether you

Jason Sprigs:

believe in God or not, we're put on we're put into this world to

Jason Sprigs:

really grow, were put into this world to really communicate

Jason Sprigs:

hence, you know, community community in it, because it's in

Jason Sprigs:

it, right? It's just to really in to build something better. I

Jason Sprigs:

know, you know, you check the news, you see all these

Jason Sprigs:

shootings, all these things going on. But yeah, I understand

Jason Sprigs:

that a lot of these shootings are coming from places of hurt,

Jason Sprigs:

a lot of them are not, don't have the guidance or the

Jason Sprigs:

mentorship to be there. And that is what I want to do. Because my

Jason Sprigs:

father gave that to me, and other male figures in my life.

Jason Sprigs:

So I'll say, since lessons out there, you're going to need a

Jason Sprigs:

balance of men and female. Yes, mentors, you're going to need

Jason Sprigs:

that balance, right? Because there's a lot out there that

Jason Sprigs:

grew up from single mothers homes without a father. And you

Jason Sprigs:

can find that and you know, I'd recommend that you find that and

Jason Sprigs:

it's just looking for those those positive male figures, to

Jason Sprigs:

church church. So that helps you find fun farm spirit, Neil's

Jason Sprigs:

parish funds for you sign up, but you have to know what your

Jason Sprigs:

calling is. And I think that's important is to really know what

Jason Sprigs:

you want to do. Because there's a lot of distractions these

Jason Sprigs:

days. Now. That's getting people away from that past, what I say

Jason Sprigs:

is, you need to be in that you need to take up get a point to

Jason Sprigs:

yourself where you read, or you reflect and ask, Am I actually

Jason Sprigs:

producing something? What am I working towards? Because you

Jason Sprigs:

know, specifically as men, because that's really what I'm

Jason Sprigs:

really trying to help other blind men is to, is to produce.

Jason Sprigs:

And once you start on that path to produce, other people will

Jason Sprigs:

follow.

Mark Sedgwick:

Yes, you lead by example. Yes. You just you live

Mark Sedgwick:

in the light, and people will see that light radiate, and

Mark Sedgwick:

they're going to want to march in that light as well. You know,

Mark Sedgwick:

you don't have to push God on the people. But if you live a

Mark Sedgwick:

godly life, oh, boy, they might do something.

Jason Sprigs:

They're gonna be curious about you. I've come No.

Mark Sedgwick:

Amen Brother, And I'm writing a children's book

Mark Sedgwick:

right now. I'm following my mom's footsteps. She's a

Mark Sedgwick:

children's book author. She's a teacher to men. And so I'm

Mark Sedgwick:

following her footsteps. Because I had a woman, a woman mentor,

Mark Sedgwick:

as well. And I've had a great man mentors also. But man, I'm

Mark Sedgwick:

writing a book called Hey, gamer, there's more. It's just

Mark Sedgwick:

funny that we met Jason today. Because I want to show the kids

Mark Sedgwick:

that there is more to life. And I'm gonna do that in a

Mark Sedgwick:

children's book. And you know, I have found my way through the

Mark Sedgwick:

children's books, and through other ways speaking and

Mark Sedgwick:

everything like this and coaching and of course leading

Mark Sedgwick:

by example. But you guys keep on marching. You guys find your

Mark Sedgwick:

gifts today? Realise? What has God given you? What kind of

Mark Sedgwick:

gifts? Are you a speaker? Are you a writer? Are you a

Mark Sedgwick:

musician? Are you a chef? Are you a cook? Are you an artist?

Mark Sedgwick:

Are you are you a protector? Like a police officer, a lawyer?

Mark Sedgwick:

Are you supposed to be an advocate for the youth? What are

Mark Sedgwick:

you supposed to be you know, ask yourself those questions. And

Mark Sedgwick:

don't forget to show up to conferences, show up and shadow

Mark Sedgwick:

some people and find good mentors because they're out

Mark Sedgwick:

there, you know, and they're willing to help. There's some

Mark Sedgwick:

people who are willing to help. Okay, don't forget to hang out

Mark Sedgwick:

On the word also the word is great, you'll find some great

Mark Sedgwick:

solutions in that. So don't forget about that. Any last

Mark Sedgwick:

words howdy.

Hatti Harmeson:

I just want to say just know that it's not

Hatti Harmeson:

about it's, everything is about God. But people are afraid of

Hatti Harmeson:

hearing that word God thinking you're trying to get them into

Hatti Harmeson:

the church, just know that you can do nothing on your own even,

Hatti Harmeson:

even if it's just sitting in your house. And you can do

Hatti Harmeson:

nothing on your own. I found one, one set one thing they told

Hatti Harmeson:

me as a joke, was saying that it was a lady praying in her house

Hatti Harmeson:

because she needed food in the house or a family. And her

Hatti Harmeson:

neighbour was an atheist. And he would watch her every day

Hatti Harmeson:

praying, and one day she prayed and she said, God, can you just

Hatti Harmeson:

send me some money in the mailbox? I can get some food for

Hatti Harmeson:

my family. And he watched her everyday praying and want to

Hatti Harmeson:

pray in the evening. All of a sudden, one day she got on her

Hatti Harmeson:

porch, and the food was on the porch, the groceries was on the

Hatti Harmeson:

porch. And when she went out there to get the groceries, all

Hatti Harmeson:

of a sudden he pops up from behind the bush, because she

Hatti Harmeson:

said God, you answered my prayers, you answer my prayers.

Hatti Harmeson:

And he called himself being finally saying, Oh, that God you

Hatti Harmeson:

pray to? He's here now. So I'm the one use my money and buy

Hatti Harmeson:

things. Yeah, no. And what he didn't realise was that he was

Hatti Harmeson:

being used by God. Right? Yeah. Because he came and answered her

Hatti Harmeson:

prayers. So God used anybody so you know, monkey say you can

Hatti Harmeson:

look for mentors, their mentors, it, God will use anybody to

Hatti Harmeson:

mentor you. You may not want him to be your mentor, but you may

Hatti Harmeson:

find them doing something saying something, planning something on

Hatti Harmeson:

the piano minister to your spirit, and you'd be like, I

Hatti Harmeson:

don't know where that come from. But God, okay, man, I'm gonna do

Hatti Harmeson:

this here. You know, he can use the video game. So you know, we

Hatti Harmeson:

just gotta be willing vessels willing to say yes. Then get

Hatti Harmeson:

move the nose out of the way. Be willing to say yes. Be

Hatti Harmeson:

transform, learn how to advocate and push and press forward. And

Hatti Harmeson:

I say hey, you press press, go forward.

Mark Sedgwick:

Don't give up. Don't give up. Hey, where can

Mark Sedgwick:

they find you? Jason? Where can they find you? How to Jason You

Jason Sprigs:

compensation itself. The world has changed. I'm telling you

Jason Sprigs:

right now. So yeah, I'm going to be putting out some content

Jason Sprigs:

going as soon as probably when I finish up here. All right, when

Jason Sprigs:
