Welcome back to another episode of health hack as I continue the theme of sleep and why sleep is so critical for your health. So diving in today for the rest of this month, I'm going to be going through many factors that are improved when you get the right amount of sleep that you need for your body. Go back to Episode 391, in order to hear how much sleep you need based on your age. So prioritizing quality sleep is crucial for optimizing both physical and mental health as well as supporting overall well being and longevity. And starting out along those lines, I just want to talk about the fact that better sleep results in better regulation of your hormones, including those that are involved in your appetite, your growth, and your stress. And we're going to dive into each of these in more detail throughout the month. I just want to give you that overview right now. And if stress is a factor for you, you are not alone. And the more sleep you get, the more stress resilient you become. Getting the right amount of sleep also allows your body to be able to better regulate its body temperature. And that leads to a more restful sleep as well because the temperature of the room definitely impacts your sleep you know that if it's too hot on a hot summer night, you might have a hard time falling asleep. So body temperature regulation is important for good quality sleep and good quality good sleep leads to your body's ability to do that more effectively. Good quality sleep also leads to improve libido and sexual function. And of course everybody would like to enjoy that and you probably never connected, good quality sleep to your libido before.
