Defining Race With Jane Elliott

Defining Race With Jane Elliott

We have a special treat on this next episode of Communicate Like You Give A Damn! In this two-part series, host, Kim Clark is joined by Jane Elliott, a powerful voice in the world of DEI. In this thought-provoking episode, the dynamic conversation between the two of them covers everything from Jane’s Blue Eye - Brown Eye exercise, the true definition of biracial marriages and moving past the “Black” and “White” labels for race. This episode dives DEEP into the act of “othering” and identifying each other as just one race…human. You’re sure to learn nuggets of wisdom about how to bring our relationships together and just what this country needs to bypass ageism, sexism, homophobism and more in hopes of a brighter future.

About The Guest:

It won't help much to be prepared to face Jane Elliott. This elderly woman will tear down any shield. Even we, the spectators in BLUE EYED, can't get rid of this feeling of uneasiness, embarrassment, anxiety and utterly helpless hatred when she starts keeping people down, humiliating them, deriding them, incapacitating them. No doubt about this: for three quarters of the time in this documentation Jane Elliott is the meanest, the lowest, the most detestful, the most hypocritical human being hell has ever spit back on earth. But she should be an example for all of us.
