Speaker:

Welcome to a smiling meditation to awaken deeper peace and joy.

Speaker:

My name is Linda Orsini, and I would like to guide you into

Speaker:

this gentle meditation to bring a soft smile to your lips, your

Speaker:

eyes and your heart as you settle into this moment, let's

Speaker:

connect with our breath so just taking a deep inhale through the

Speaker:

nose and exhale, sighing the breath out through the mouth,

Speaker:

just slowly settling in here, allowing the inhales to be full

Speaker:

and the exhales to be a deep releasing, a deep letting go, as

Speaker:

we slowly move into awakening a natural joy that resides within

Speaker:

you, just allowing you to experience a sense of warmth and

Speaker:

happiness from the inside out. So if there's something that is

Speaker:

disturbing you, whether it's a feeling, a sensation, or

Speaker:

something going on in your life, just become present to it here

Speaker:

in this moment, noticing it without judgment. And then let's

Speaker:

hold compassion for that feeling, thought or sensation.

Speaker:

The purpose of this meditation is not to dismiss what's going

Speaker:

on around us, but to really hold space with compassion such

Speaker:

tender compassion, and then allow peace and joy to slowly

Speaker:

unfold. So let's take another deep inhale through the nose and

Speaker:

exhale side out through the mouth,

Speaker:

as you slowly begin to melt into This moment, allow your whole

Speaker:

physical body to soften and release any tension in the face,

Speaker:

in the shoulders, in the stomach and in your legs, breathe into

Speaker:

any spaces that may feel tight or constricted, and not just in

Speaker:

your muscles, but even perhaps in your heart. Allow your heart

Speaker:

to soften here and to soften the heart feel and notice your

Speaker:

breath here. Feel and notice the energy between the breaths, that

Speaker:

vital life force, energy that allows you to breathe in and

Speaker:

breathe out, breathing in and breathing out. And maybe you

Speaker:

would like to invite the color green, the chakra, color of the

Speaker:

heart here, just into your heart center, a beautiful shade of

Speaker:

green that resonates deeply with you

Speaker:

and as you bring attention to Your Heart Center, noticing and

Speaker:

allowing yourself to become even more fully present into this

Speaker:

moment, allowing yourself to soften, Creating space, creating

Speaker:

a sense of peace and calm and

Speaker:

and with the heart soft, let's begin here by imagining a soft,

Speaker:

gentle smile spreading across your lips, not forcing. It in

Speaker:

any way, but just allowing it to come naturally, feel the breath

Speaker:

as the corners of your mouth lift, allowing this very soft

Speaker:

and small action to create a gentle, soft shift within a

Speaker:

ripple of a new perspective, a new sense of holding space where

Speaker:

your outer smile can begin to nurture your inner self, your

Speaker:

heart space, your sense of self compassion, allowing your

Speaker:

thoughts to slowly shift and transform into a sense of deeper

Speaker:

peace and stillness and

Speaker:

and as you breathe into the slightly lifted edges of your

Speaker:

lips, bring Your attention to your eyes, and even though your

Speaker:

eyes are softly closed, picture and imagine a warm, kind smile

Speaker:

in your eyes,

Speaker:

where the Smile at the edges of your mouth radiate upward into

Speaker:

your eyes.

Speaker:

Feel the muscles around your eyes soften, allowing any

Speaker:

tension to just slip away with both the edges of your lips

Speaker:

lifted upward and the corners of your eyes softened, allow these

Speaker:

muscles to slowly release and open The inner self, like

Speaker:

turning a frown upside down and with each breath, let this

Speaker:

gentle smile melt away any tightness or strain that has

Speaker:

been clenching In your heart. Allow this shift in energy as

Speaker:

you shift your physical body into a sense of greater joy and

Speaker:

peace to slowly unfold, allowing it to just happen naturally,

Speaker:

without any force.

Speaker:

And then take a deep inhale through your nose, and as you

Speaker:

exhale the breath to the edges of your mouth and the corners of

Speaker:

your eyes, gently shift your attention to your mind and

Speaker:

imagine a smile within your thoughts lighting up your mental

Speaker:

space with a sense of warmth, sense of kindness and even some

Speaker:

clarity if a thought passes through your mind, imagine

Speaker:

placing a smile stamp on each thought as it slowly drifts away

Speaker:

and with each thought that arises, allow a gentle smile to

Speaker:

unfold in your mind with the understanding that this too

Speaker:

shall pass, letting whatever is arising drift out of your

Speaker:

consciousness, as Pima shodran says, You are the sky.

Speaker:

Everything else is just the weather.

Speaker:

Allow yourself to turn inward to be the sky and let everything

Speaker:

else just. Like the transient weather

Speaker:

coming and going while you stay grounded in that internal smile

Speaker:

within your mind, within your thoughts, lighting and warming

Speaker:

up that mental space, as Buddha said, the mind Is everything,

Speaker:

what you think you become. And then finally coming full circle,

Speaker:

returning to your heart, imagine a radiant smile shining from

Speaker:

your heart, filling your entire being with warmth, with love and

Speaker:

with gentle tenderness. They say the longest distance traveled is

Speaker:

from the head to the heart, but here allow the eyes and the lips

Speaker:

to bridge that distance, feeling and noticing a gentle smile at

Speaker:

your Heart Center as a gift to your inner self and knowing and

Speaker:

feeling that whatever is going on in your life, the most

Speaker:

lasting, true and purest thing is the love that lives within us

Speaker:

and

Speaker:

breathing in and breathing out of the heart center as you

Speaker:

exhale, continuing to allow everything To soften, allow the

Speaker:

lips, the eyes, the mind and your heart to become present in

Speaker:

this moment with a gentle softness. It's about trusting

Speaker:

and surrendering, trusting and surrendering,

Speaker:

feeling the breath at your heart center with a softness that

Speaker:

brings a smile to the edges of your mouth, the edges and

Speaker:

corners of your eyes, into your mind and into Your heart,

Speaker:

allowing that radiating green light to radiate outwards so

Speaker:

that everything lifts naturally,

Speaker:

breathing softly here into that essence of peace, of joy that a

Speaker:

smile brings,

Speaker:

and if it resonates, maybe gently, bringing one or both

Speaker:

hands to your heart center and breathing here, feeling the

Speaker:

energy behind your breath, knowing that whatever We

Speaker:

cultivate within radiates outwards. There is a traditional

Speaker:

Sanskrit mantra, and it goes like this, loka samista, Suki no

Speaker:

bhavantu,

Speaker:

meaning may all beings everywhere be happy and free.

Speaker:

Loka, samista, Suki no and. Pavantu, may our thoughts words

Speaker:

and actions contribute to the happiness and freedom for all.

Speaker:

Loka samista, sukino avantu,

Speaker:

and radiating that interconnectedness between us,

Speaker:

allowing the joy and peace and freedom that resides within us

Speaker:

to radiate out to all beings,

Speaker:

and as you slowly continue to breathe here into this mantra,

Speaker:

let's allow just two or three minutes to breathe here into

Speaker:

this silence, into this intention that we are creating

Speaker:

our own sense of peace and joy and sending that out to all

Speaker:

beings To feel the essence of happiness, freedom and Joy. You.

Speaker:

Loka, samista, Suki no bhavantu, You,

Speaker:

taking a deep inhale through The nose and exhaling it out through

Speaker:

the mouth,

Speaker:

slowly coming back into this present moment as you breathe

Speaker:

into this space, allow this meditation halo of peace to

Speaker:

radiate around you, nurturing the joy you've awakened within,

Speaker:

and then Allow this meditation Halo to expand outward into your

Speaker:

consciousness and touching every part of your being, and then

Speaker:

sending it out to all beings,

Speaker:

allowing. Smiling sense of meditation to awaken inner peace

Speaker:

and joy, to be the energy that guides you as you move forward,

Speaker:

helping you to remember and embrace your inner joy,

Speaker:

compassion and love,

Speaker:

knowing this inner light is always there, ready to support

Speaker:

and uplift you whenever you need it, always wishing you great

Speaker:

peace, joy, love and light from my heart to yours. Namaste.
